Short trip but no regrets”
We had a nice but brief stay. The rooms were clean and large. Wonderful view from the balcony. Good food. The only disappointment was that we had come to hike the mountain but weren't allowed because of some problem and that the hot springs were really just jacuzzis filled with water fro the hot springs - we were hoping for a more authentic hot spring experience. Overall it was a beautiful resort and a nice place to stay.
really good hotel”
a luxury hotel with good chinese culture. Kids can swim in the swimming pool with great view of tropical rain forest, mount and cloud. Kids also can find some tropical insects and plants.Parents can enjoy the hot spring. Very quiet and close to the nature.Hope there will be buffet lunch and dinner in the future which will be cheaper.
Have a good modern restaurant”
I like their restaurant very much. modern with the natural area. The villa in natural area, when the morning, you wake up can smell the fresh air and flower taste. Very comfortable. Good to have the villa with the hot spring in room. Chinese restaurant food is good. Compare to the chinese food shop outside the hotel. This one is not expensive.
A truly wonderful place to relax”
as i don't speak chinens communication was often difficult but nevertheless a most enjoyable stay. i probably would not recommend the hotel to my non ch9inese friends due to our language brrrier. i thought the transport costs were too expensive.
Great Place to Relax”
lovely resort to spend time relaxing. rooms are very nice and the pools fantastic. included breakfast quite nice and evening meals a bit pricey but quite tasty. great place to go if you want to lay back in a lovely environment and do not much. not the place to go if you want some action. hotel airport pick up is pricey. hotel shuttle bus did not run at a time that even remotely connected with our flight. leaving the resort for the airport we had to pay 800rmb for a hotel car as we were told by the hotel and by another guest that it was a long drive to the resort for a taxi to pick us up. resort is one and a half hours from the airport. perhaps the resort needs to have their shuttle bus run more frequently. i think it only runs once a day. despite this would definitely recommend the resort. we loved our stay there.
exactly as the pictures on the website ”
We came here only one day to experience the hotspring and the rainforest. We were very satisfied. The rooms were exactly as shown on the website. Very spacious, lovely view. The room had its own hotspring tub, though the tub could be slightly bigger and could be placed within a space with more privacy. The hotel also had a few hotsprings free of charge. You need to go in the middle of the day because in the morning the spring would be too hot; in the evening not warm enough. We had BBQ buffet dinner at the restaurant. The quality of food was in all pretty good. Although we did discover a dead fly in one of the salad dressing bowls. the variety was not huge as we expected either. They offered only around three kinds of seafood and tiny steaks and lamb chops for bbq. The best thing about the hotel is its mirror pool. The pool is quiet and beautiful with excellent view. we fell in love with the pool at first sight and stayed almost all day at the pool. the view was exceptional at night. Other than the hotspring and the pool, there was also a very professional looking spa. Price range very reasonable and the environment is very relaxing. the hotel also offered free yoga and taichi courses and other varieties of recreational facilities. All in all the hotel was a good bargain and we will definitely come again.
A jungle inn hotel with great lookout on Mt.Qixian”
the hotel is not so easy to reach (the best with own transport) but once you get there it's like a treat. soaking in hot springs, swimming in pools it is about. it's a little bit to humid for hiking or biking. we chose a deluxe villa room - our one offered good privacy when enjoying jacuzzi on the balcony, however many other rooms are facing common areas like swimming pools etc, so it's good to have a look on your room before moving in. the only disapointing thing was the poor amenities - more like a 3 star hotel: shower gel / shampoo combo, 2 tooth brushes, cotton pads, 2 combs, swimming pool slippers, hair drier, bath towels, 2 glasses, 2 bags of cheap tea and 2 bags of 3-in-1 coffee - very cheap looking.
Overall the villas are clean and spacious. Each room has it's own hot tub on the balcony. The forest and other greenery could be better upkept. Breakfast has a decent enough selection to fill you up with either Western food or Chinese food. Definitely a good choice if you wan to just go relax and do nothing for a couple of days.
Chinese hotel, good value”
the rooms are not glamorous, but the jacuzzi was totally worth it (albeit slow). we were there over new years so it was perfect because the weather was way too cold to spend on the beach. there is virtually nothing to do but eat, sleep and hike, so make sure you are with someone you enjoy thoroughly. the chinese restaurant is reasonably priced and has a very interesting menu. get a spa treatment, they are private villas.
Beautiful location but with terrible service and e”
The hotel is a solid 2 hour and 15 mins taxi ride from the airport so expect to pay $300-$400 RMB just to get to the hotel from Sanya Airport. I expected an absolutely private villa but turns out the privacy was quite lacking as people can see you from the street. Could not believe how much food costed here as an average meal runs around $100RMB per person for very basic foods. However, the private jacuzzi made this all worth it for us.
Villas in Nature”
Rooms are quite nice, if you can afford, choose villa type rooms. Jacuzzi in balcony is fantastic. Rain forest is nice, well organized. Hot spring is quite small, there are skin eating fishes in one pool but you have to pay extra for it. Can be a different experience. Beds are soft and comfortable. Not like other Chinese hotels. Room service and most of the workers can not speak English. Management must find a solution for room service at least. Food & wines are a little bit overpriced as you have no other option in this area. Breakfast is ok if you are Chinese, for foreigners it is poor.
Very friendly staff who provide prompt services!”
Very lovely hotel amidst nature reserve! Private hot spring tubs in hotel rooms make it very convenient for customers to enjoy a clean and private experience. Hotel staff were very friendly in helping us with suggestions for nearby attractions. Food was delicious and fresh.
The Narada Resort & Spa Qixian Mount is a nice break for the hustle and bustle of Sanya's bust resort areas, Yalong Bay (the cleanest) Dadonghai, and Sanya Bay (the prettiest walk, but the water a little dirty). The Narada Spa is quite some distance from these resorts so make sure that you call for their shuttle times, which will save you hundreds of CNY. The resort is relatively new, ridiculously signed for miles every few yards along the way, which can take some time. From Yalong Bay it was about two hours, back to Sanya Bay with numerous stops to drop others off at their hotels, almost three, double the flight time from Kunming to Sanya. But well worth it,it is quiet, only bird calls. Extremely relaxing. We went at the tail end of Chinese New Year so it was crowded for that immense and spread out place, but the buffet breakfasts and dinners were fine and, if the weather is good, quite atmospheric (dare I say romantic) if held outside. The weather was pretty cloudy when we were there, although I could not call it a proper "rainforest", so good that we were not at the beach. It was a totally different experience, well worth several days!
Nice place for resting and relaxing, ”
Conclusively, it is a nice forest hot-spring hotel, foods in good quality, unfortunatelly, western snack bar or cafe missing.
Receiption couldn't find my reservation when checking in. Wasted long time waiting and finally called agoda myself to get it done. Had to point out which room type was booked otherwise would be given superior room as they imagined. Bill charged with unspent items. Though deducted after pointing out, it was terrible management. NO RECEIPT was provided by the hotel as the reservation as paid to Agoda. Unclear room description misled me booked a second floor room not accessible to handicapped person. Overall it was a nightmare. Would never refer to anyone
this hotel is not what it claims to be! when i first made the booking it took days for them to confirm my airport pick up. but they were there on time. the drive to the hotel is about 2hrs away. location should be good but they have not used the space wisely. the villas are not villas at all, basically it's a room in a block of 4, so there will be a room right next to you and either below or above you. the hot spa pool is not a pool but more of half jacuzzi, that can accommodate two people sitting. on arrival we discovered that they had closed 1 of their 2 restaurants. room service was teribble! thankfully we were only there for 3 nights, had it been any longer we would have left early. service from the hotel staff is non-existent! especially if you are not chinese. the bar's barley serve drinks and it took 20-30 min just to get a glass of orange juice, and they do not serve food at the bars or by the pools. the pools are also located right outside the rooms and can get very noisy - again especially if you are not chinese and are not used to lack of social awareness. on check out no-one spoke english and the general manager refused to come to the front desk to help his staff. they then tried to charge us 60y for putting water into the mini bar! and it took over an hour to check out. if you do not speak chinese then do not stay! i can not emphasise that enough. even if you do speak the language, but are not chinese yourself i would be wary as social curtesy and awareness was not displayed by any of the mainlanders who spent most nights yelling at each other across the compound. also the security guard likes to shine his flashlight directly into bedrooms (this didn't just happen to us), so if you leave curtains open or blinds slightly open you will get woken up by a flashlight being shone into your room for 20 min while he has a look around.... i will definitely never return to this hotel and do not recommend it to anyone.
great location but NOT recommended for foreigners”
very nice resort but big construction going on with a lot of noise which was really disturbing. staff didnt really speak english which led to misunderstandings. western restaurant is very expensive and fish was even raw... almost 100% chinese guests! not really recomandable for foreigners!
a very special place”
-villas are spreading up along the hills, but luckily there are pretty efficient electric shuttles that help you move around between the room, swimming pool and reception/restaurants -villas are 2 storeys, make sure to get the deluxe villa with a good view, preferably facing downhill and on the upper level. the rooms are all good but some ground level rooms are more depressing with almost no daylight coming in. -great garden with nice tropical trees -3 swimming pools quite ok, number 3 definitely newer and cleaner than the 2 others, with amazing view, don't miss it -great staff, very nice and helpful (some of them speak good english) -only big downer was the breakfast buffet: nice outside location but too small area compared to the size of the hotel, it gets crowded and ugly, and there s always something missing (once you finally found a clean cup, you find out the coffee dispenser is empty, the bread toaster has like 5 people "queuing" and doesn't even toast anything, etc)... I guess there's room for improvement here. we were there the week after chinese new year, its probably better at other times.
Tranquil haven - bliss”
For serious R & R - this is the place. An Amzing spot. Sadly only one restaurant - so whilst huge menue - a little lacking in choice. Great spa with FAB treatments. Three days would be plenty to regain ones equilibrium.
Lovely resort in natural environment, poor service”
Very nice environment as resort is located in the rainforest; spacious rooms with clean bedsheets and towels, a private spa on the balcony in each room ( but the only shower in Superior Rooms is above the spa, so be prepared for outdoor shower!). Those who enjoy nature would find this place gorgeous but the service has a long way to go. English-speaking travelers, in particular, will encounter communication problems with staff; though most of the staff members are friendly and helpful, their efficiency certainly needs improvement. Very expensive shuttle service if need to travel between resort and city. Food is generally acceptable.
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
