We visited as a family of 12. Love the facilities in the hotel. Since there is nothing much to do around the hotel, our family had a great time enjoying the pool table, playing table tennis and chilling.
Out of expectation”
Love the friendly staff and the facilities in the hotel, the room and the public area is very clean. It's truly out of my expectation! Although it's one of the earliest five-star hotels in Taitung, I don't feel that the equipment is old at all.
Free shuttle to Teihua Music Village”
Location is outside city but near to train station. Free shuttle available to train station through pre-booking. 2 way free shuttle bus also available around evening time to Tiehua Music Village (walking distance to Taitung night market) by pre-booking. Room is big. Wide spread breakfast choice.
Good value hotel but far from city area”
Hotel is quite old but used to be quite grand. The room is a bit old but well maintained. Breakfast is so so with limited choices. The hotel rate is quite cheap but it is a bit out of the city area. Overall is OK.
Not so modern, English is a challenge, breakfast ok. room service burger not that yummy but club sandwich is ok. Missing smiling staff
Very nice hotel with a Spa”
We had a nice and pleasant stay at this luxury hotel which includes a spacious Spa facility, outdoor swimming pool, gym and sauna area. THe staff was very friendly and accomodating. One of the best things is the e-bike rental at a very reasonable rate and the bike trail round trip passes by right next to the hotel. Only the food (room service dinner) and the breakfast buffet did not live up to 5-star hotel expectation.
best hotel to stay when travel to taitung-taiwan”
We think it is the best hotel to stay when travel to taitung Although the location of the hotel is a little bit far from downtown but it is very near the train station The hotel also provide shuttle bus from train station. The room is quite big. And from across the street we can ride a bus to taitung forest park.
Taitung Naruwan Hotel”
Excellent value lovely rooms-comfortable bed and room layout Complimentary water, soda, fruit and cookies on a daily basis Fantastic pool for laps-water was perfect-swam 2 x daily Great comp breakfast 1 negative--Pool was shut for cleaning 12-3pm everyday Typical Chinese thoughtlessness
As you would expect from a regular 5 stars hotel”
Very standard 5stars hotel. You can sense/see the history of the hotel been a little aged A little revamp should turn this hotel into a great 5stars in the East Coast. Overall is very good, and no "surprises".
We travelled as a family of 12. Since there is nothing at all around the hotel, we spent a great time together in the evening playing pool, table tennis and chilling at their reception.
I thought it was an okay hotel. 1. The shuttle bus driver was very inpatient with my elderly parents. 2. The ck-in process was too slow 3. The male ch-in staff was not friendly at all. 4. The water in the "Hot Sprint facility" was too cold. 5. The food was too simple, nothing special really. The best experience of our stay was the kindness provided by the cleaning crew. Over all, very disappointing!!
nice hotel and very pleasant helpful people. Nice swimming pool
Great facilities..used their hot spring and shuttle service(to arrange ahead of time) Very helpful and polite staff. Only setback was communication..not sure was Agoda or the hotel. Have tried 3 times sending message with regards to pick up but never gotten a reply..last resort was to email the hotel directly.
Staff not responsive”
Plus points: Pick-up service, Hot-spring facilities, buffet breakfast. Negative points: if you happen to get a room with faults, expect replies like "air-con temperature can't be varied, can we give you more blankets to cover yourselves" etc. lots of situations where staffs meant "just make do please"
What a treat in Taitung!”
My family and I were visiting from the US. I chose this particular Naruwan hotel for it's amenities that accommodate families with small children. As for location, you are just a 5 minute drive from the Taitung airport or Railway station. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle to the airport and railway station if you arrange ahead of time. The game room is excellent for children of all ages. There are video games, foos ball, table tennis, billiards, a toddler playground, and basketball video game etc. My son had blast every time! I would give the staff 10 stars if I could. Very friendly and accommodating. From the front desk, to bell hop, housekeeping to the restaurant staff, everybody was helpful and had a great attitude. Our room came with complimentary buffet everyday. The selection was great and most importantly was delicious. I ordered from the cafe a few times as we were too tired to go out to eat. The food was good too. Also around the corner from the hotel are a few local places to eat. One vegetarian spot was clean and delicious. Plenty of boba and tea shops as well as a Family mart and 7-11. My only disappointment would have been the hot spring facility. Two of the 3 sections for the hot spring were cold. The only hot tubs where in the back of the facility and I believe the temperature gages were not accurate. The two tubs we went in showed similar readings around 34.4 Celsius, but felt completely different in temps. I prefer hot baths so I was a bit chilly. My husband prefers luke warm water so it was perfect for him. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the pool, but it looked nice and one of the few hotels in Taitung with a pool. Overall I could not be happier with the hotel selection. Should they ever remodel the pool or health spa, this would definitely be a 5 star resort across the board. I will definitely be back if I'm in Taitung!
Great place to stay and will consider to stay next time”
It is a nice hotel to stay even though the facility is not modern oriented. However, it is full aboriginal atmosphere and the hotel will arrange live show at night time and have a night club located in basement for visitors to enjoy. Lovely hotel and will consider totstay next time.
Very Good Value.”
We stay for a week in a family suite and found it very nice. The breakfast buffets were excellent. we used the pools a lot and enjoyed exploring the neighborhood for local food. The location is the only problem, but we rented a car and then it was very easy to reach the beautiful beaches and mountains nearby. The staff responded to all our requests. We would definitely stay again.
Just another Taiwanese hotel”
Claims to be an "International 5* Hotel", but nothing about this hotel was international, and way overpriced! Western food was bordering inedible, my friend had finished his meal by the time mine arrived (about 30 mins apart) - very typical in Taiwan. Breakfast was equally shocking. Dinner buffet was OK, but overpriced. Swimming cap required for swimming pool and spa, which again is typically nonsensical of Taiwanese hotels. The pool bar/night club looked like it had been closed down for several years already. The hotel also included a Texas-themed bar in the basement, although I doubt the person who designed it had ever actually been to a bar, never mind Texas! Both times we went it was totally empty, and I suspect the sole reason it's still open is to maintain the hotel's 5* status. It's also the first 5* hotel I've been to that serve beer in a can, but what do expect for NT$35? On the upside, the rooms were clean and comfortable, which is the absolute minimum you would expect for NT$4900 a night. The bathroom had a little window next to the toilet so that your partner could watch you on the toilet. Luckily it had curtains! I commend the hotel for trying to create a real international hotel, but I'm afraid as with most others in Taiwan, the execution was way off the mark. It's just a Taiwanese hotel that caters for Taiwanese guests, nothing more.
A Pleasant Stay”
I normally would go for something half the price, so this was a vacation splurge for us. Having looked at some reviews before booking, we didn't experience anything negative. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't test their English, but I'm sure that it would have been adequate. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Having rented a scooter at the train station, transportation wasn't an issue, but if one didn't have their own transportation, it'd be a pretty good hike to anywhere you might want to go. The restaurant food was not bad, and the portions were surprisingly large. We didn't utilize their other facilities, so a lower budget place probably would have been a better deal for us. Nevertheless, we had a very positive experience there.
comfortable, not great”
rooms need more 110 volt sockets with proper tine inputs. business center is antiquated. no in room wifi. many mainland chinese visitors smoke in nonsmoking hotel, stinking up the whole hall. staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and quiet, breakfast is passable.
