The main reason why we book this hotel was because of the french restaurant, which meets to my expectation. If you’re considering booking, remember to go for the plan including dinner. Location is a bit out of the normal ryokan in the Nasu area, but the open view facing the golf course is relaxing. It’s some drive from other attractions, but I still think this hotel is more exclusive & quiet. It would be much better if there was an outdoor onsen also.

I absolutely loved this place. I was there during the rainy season on some weekdays, so I ended up being the only person there besides the owner Yamasaki. He is very welcoming and friendly, and he speaks English much better than he thinks he does. Strongly recommend eating dinner at Ittan; Yamasaki's cooking is the best I've had in Japan, and I've been here a month and eaten a lot of food. Ittan itself isn't near any sightseeing really but the bus station is close by and can take you up the mountain for a good price (especially with the day passes). Highly recommend this place! Yamasaki is a wonderful host!

I booked the place because it was near an onsen my mom and I wanted to try! It turned out to be better than we had imagined! We’re greeted by a very friendly staff upon arrival and immediately given tea and cake. After a long drive from Tokyo, it was a welcomed reception. Then we received a tour and shown to our room. The room was a traditional Japanese style room with a dining area and a private bathroom. The ryokan has its own onsen but we opted for the sulfur based one just a 5 min drive away from the facility. Dinner was plentiful, tasty, interesting and healthy! They use meat and vegetables grown locally so everything tasted fresh ! My mom and I loved the place and would return again!
