I had a great stay in Natlen. A perfect location, just outside the old town. The swimming pool gives you the rest you like after visiting Chiang Mai. I would highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely few nights at the Nat Len and have nothing but good things to say. Easily recommended to folks who want more than a room with a fan for short coin.

    Amazing stay”
Trying to find somewhere with a pool in Chiang Mai without paying a ridiculous price is pretty tricky. I stumbled across this place and couldn’t believe they had a room left, so I booked wondering what might be wrong with it. It was perfect. Don’t hesitate to book here - amazing value for money.

Close to the old city (few minutes walk) + pool ”
Location is ideal, the old city is only a few minutes walk & there is a pool with jetstreams and a shallow kiddy-part. There were a lot of Asian tourists who were not easy to communicate with because their English wasn’t very good. (And my Thai/Chinese is pretty much non-existent) I stayed here before and specifically asked for a room with window to outside. Since not all have this.

Excellent choice to stay in Chiangmai, Swimming pool is the highlight. ”
We stayed here for 3 nights and spent most of our time in Natlen's outdoor swimming pool. The entrance garden and the way they decorated the hotel absolutely won our hearts at the first place. It's so beautiful and clean. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They showed us the way to go to night market and fulfilled every requests, and yes they could speak English very well. I definitely will come back next time if we travel to Chiangmai next time. We love it so much. Excellent choice!

    Location, cleanliness
My room and bathroom were really tiny, but everything was organized in such a smart way, that I really didn't mind. Just a bit dark in the room, but given the location and the low price, I really didn't mind.

Staff is super unfriendly. Rooms just ok”
The people who work here are very unfriendly. I don’t expect a lot, but the guy wouldn’t even print my Visa for me for the next country I was going to, I was more than willing to pay him, I saw a printer right there and he’s just like no- you need to go somewhere else... beyond that, they were very cold every time we saw them, certainly didn’t make you feel welcome. I saw so many nicer places in Chiang Mai that I would have rather stayed at. The pool was kind of why I booked this place, and it was just alright. The beds were pretty terrible but I didn’t expect a lot. The fridge didn’t work, ZERO hot water in shower and WiFi did not work. All things I could live with, but when the staff was rude. I was over this place.

It’s situated close to the old city, nice place, sweet personnel, you can take coffee & tea, get clean towels every day. So all good. But breakfast is not the best. I went to a place around the corner or to the breakfast club for breakfast.

    Nice with a few issues”
Pros: the owner was very sweet. The pool is awesome. Cons: our room was cute, but it smelled like raw sewage. It was seriously so bad we woke up in the morning feeling ill. Told the owner, who moved us to a new room. New room was a tiny, dark closet that only fit the bed. Plus the bathroom was filthy.

Comfort rooms, with aircon, fridge and nice beds. The shower wasn't hot. The placer is really nice. A pool with a cheap bar where you can eat for 60 bahts. The location is excellent. They have bycicles you can rent or borrow (for a short time). The owners are Chinese and don't speak good english. They weren't that helpfull. That's the only bad thing. But i highly recommend it.

    A Hideaway Sanctuary ”
I love Nat Len so much, I returned for a second stay this year. I'd really prefer it to anywhere else. It's cozy. It's beautiful; welcoming and hospitable. My room was small but adaquate for my needs; although there are larger rooms for those who need them. The courtyard pool dining area is also a great place to meet other guests and begin conversation. The third floor also has a small sitting area for gathering or solitude, as one chooses. The bed mattress is firm, which is fine for me but may not be for everyone. As integral to the city surroundings as Nat Len is, one might think it noisy at night. But no; the streets settle down and are very quiet. It's also a safe neighborhood for solo female traveler's like myself. All in all I think Nat Len is a great find!

    Quick but good stay”
Natlen BGH is really great for the brief stay that I had in Chiang Mai over the long weekend during new year. It is good in terms of location for me because I like less crowded areas as compared to the city centre. At the same time it is easily accessible to the places of interest as it is just one street away from the city moat.

    Great stay at NatLen”
I stayed at Nat Len for a total of 3 nights and had a great stay. The place was very clean by western standards and well appointed. They have a restaurant that serves cheap meals and they offer free coffee/tea all day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was within short walking distance of Sompet market and restaurants. The maid offered to clean the room daily per your request. There is an issue with internet connectivity here, it frequently goes out when being used. I did ask one of the staff for assistance and this person acted like they were being inconvenienced. When I asked someone else, they provided assistance. Aside from that I had a great stay.

pool was good, the room was noisy”
Unfortunately the walls were paper thin and apart from traffic noise I had to listen to every sound from the guy next door and the women he brought back to the room. This was unpleasant and not the fault of the proprietors really. I suspect that rooms out the back are quieter.

We didn't want to like it but...”
The place really grows on you quick it has a quaintness about it and even though you think that it's far outside of town really is very close to the Maingate where a lot of activity is at night, staff was kind there were people always around cleaning up and we enjoyed the pool. The room was tight and the beds were not the most comfortable but overall we would stay there again if we had a couple nights to kill in Chang Mai .

This place is great. Ask the sister of the owner to take you around in her tuk tuk. Go for some street food at the 'chop chop lady with the cowboy hat' and have her take you for some khoa Soi Noodle and buy her lunch. We loved this place.

No breakfast at Nat Len, but had a great stay there. The rooms is very good, a bit small, but great bad and enough space. The bathroom is nice as well. Location is very good, just outside Chiang Mai's center and the swimming pool is nice as well. Totally recommend, and it is also good value for money.

Lovely pool, Great location, cute rooms
I had an excellent stay for 15 nights in every way except the mattress was the worst thing I have ever slept on. Each night I laid my pillows on the bed and slept on them. I had bruises on my hip bones!! The only fix they could give me was a mattress protector that didn't do anything. That said, the staff were extremely friendly and happy but it seems it takes a few days for the owners to warm up. The location is fab if you want to be close to TaPae gate and the river. I walked everywhere every day and it prob kept the lbs off that I was eating. Brilliant food all around and a peaceful temple next door.

cheap price for what you get.”
    Location. Pool & surrounds. Price
I stayed here for a total of 5 nights. Upon arrival, I was given an upstairs room which was awful. Roads on both sides of G. House & noisy scooters racing down them ALL night long. The room was also very small. I then asked for a downstairs room and was given a much nicer room - quieter & larger - no complaints. The beds are hard, like many in Asia, but otherwise, at the price,it was all good. Family run - 2 extremely helpful brothers & a sister. During my stay, my room wasn't cleaned at all, but as I was travelling solo, there were enough towels, etc. If this was a problem for you, I am sure they would clean it upon request. The gardens/pool area was extremely nice and relaxing. A real value for money Guest House in a good location
