Rustic Paradise”
Native Village Inn is a beautiful oasis in the midst of the mountains. The setting is surreal - with small authentic huts to stay in and panoramic views of the rice paddies. A few words of advice, only so you're prepared: As they note on their website, it is rustic. You have shared (very clean) bathrooms and your hut will be not much more than a (comfortable) mattress - though has the benefits of a small mirror and electrical outlets, as well as overhead lighting. Bring enough cash to pay for all your meals and tours - bring more than enough to be on the safe side. They did accept US dollars, but it felt a little complicated so I would recommend paying in all pesos. Take the hotel free transfer from the main town of Banaue. The path to the Native Village Inn is difficult to find and semi-unpaved and could be very challenging and/or dangerous for someone who doesn't know the way. Elvis and Marvin are great tour guides, so take them up on their offers to guide you around. The food is very good - service a little bit slow but you're on vacation and they're cooking items from scratch. The roast chicken, chicken adobo and pork tenderloin stew were our favorites for dinner.

Immersed in beauty and culture”
My husband and I were traveling with our three children, 15, 18, and 22 and had a fantastic experience at the Native Village Inn. It was a 40 min ride by jeep outside of Banaue, which we considered part of the overall experience of being there. Our jeep driver, Joel, was one of the reasons we loved our stay there. He is honest, kind, funny, and speaks great English. He provided free city transfers, and then was our driver when we rode out to the rice terraces and waterfall hike. We highly recommend Joel! The Inn was modern in it's amenities, while still maintaining its traditional cultural feel. The huts were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and modern, and the showers nice and hot. The staff was kind and very helpful. I left my phone in our hut, and before I had a chance to realize it was missing they tracked us down through Joel and had it sent with a driver heading to Manila. They were prepared to mail it wherever I was, but found a faster way with a driver. So I can add honesty and efficiency to the list of good things. The setting was gorgeous, with rice paddies on both sides of the inn, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We highly recommend this Inn.

Fantastic. Couldnt recommend more!”
Native village inn is located in a beautiful yet quiet spot surrounded by amazing uhaj terraces. The grounds are kept super clean by the wonderful staff and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The views are stunning and elvis and his team of friendly guides are available to take you anywhere you want to go (batad, happao, banaue downtown, uhaj etc) for awesome tours and you can arrange great prices. The whole place has a very proffesional feel about it, like you would get at a 5 star hotel. Yet it feels relaxed and very surreal as it is very in touch with nature. Great place and i feel one of the best. Cant wait to revisit the area and definitely stay there again.

Exceptional”
I believe what made staying here an exceptionally great stay were the staff and of course the views. It really does feel tranquil. The bed and pillows in the hut are also really soft! I couldn’t get enough! While it is quite removed from town, transport accommodations are always readily available. My driver was also quite pleasant to speak with and was accommodating towards my own personal itinerary! As for the food, I don’t have any complaints as breakfast each time was delicious (although, some items may not be available). However, I was a bit disappointed with my dinner. The grilled pork I ordered was a bit on the dry side. Other then that, It was alright-tasting, but I think I enjoyed eating in town for lunch/dinner the few times! I will say don’t let that stop you from staying here! If I ever came back to Banaue, I’d most certain stay a second time around here at the Native Village Inn! Thank you! Salamat po!

one of the most beautiful places on earth.”
We had a wonderful stay at the Inn for 7 days and soaked up the beauty of the mountains and terraces and the absolute silence at night after the insects serenade you about dinner time.It was a bit of a rough ride getting there, but that too was spectacular! The accommodation was an experience, native nipa huts and comfortable on the spine of the mountain.I would recommend if you plan a trip to Banaue hire a private van from Baguio, and plan to stay more than a day or two to take in some of other local sights the inns guide will gladly escort you to.Graham and his wife are great hosts, and we hope to return again in the future.Thank you Native Village Inn for the experience I'm glad I didn't miss. Feel the local culture”
+ Wooden houses in the hotel are designed as local Ifugao houses. You can feel better their spirit. The view is gorgeous. Native Village Inn is situated on the top of the Hapao rice terraces. Staff always ask if you want to eat in a terrace with a view. You will be warmly treated with hospitality and smile. (We've arrived very late to Banaue and anyway have been transfered to the hotel and offered meal despite the kitchen rules). Mr Graham supported as on the way to Native Village inn with all the required information on how to get there from Cauayan. - The location has it pluses (view, close to Hapao) and minuses it is 9 km from Banaue (shops, cages, Batad) I'm not sure I should write it as a minus as it is the authentic idea of the hotel but you should be aware of: You won't get private toilet/comfort room and shower roon as it not like locals have. You are offered to use 2 common showers and 2 common toilets. I would definitely like to get back to this hotel and recommend to all travelers who likes to feel local cultures and be closer to nature.

Relaxing Environment”
Native Village Inn is a good place to stay if you want to stay away from a very busy environment in the city. Their price is just fair. Staying in a native house, an Ifugao house is such a wonderful experience. I learned that Ifugao's(Tago) are living in such a kind of house which I believed is safe(from snake, rats etc) and cool. The food though is very expensive(good for foreigner or dollar earner only) What I don't like is the rate of transportation(the contact of Village Inn - an old jeepney), I thought it's part of their services to take their customers from bus terminal to their location(just about 3km from the city), unknowingly you have to pay like P2000, (but this includes taking you back to the bus terminal when you leave the place) which I believed is still very expensive. If you are to ride in a tricycle, it will only cost you P100 (for 3 person already). Anyway, the experience is something that money cannot buy. It's a place different from other hotels/inn.

This is where you should stay in Banaue”
immediately upon arrival, this fantastic place and its warm-welcoming staff made us forget the dreadful 12h busride to banaue. the view is truly breathtaking and the huts really add to the experience. the food in the restaurant is good and everything is kept clean. there definitely are cheaper places to stay and eat in banaue village, but the price difference could not make up for what you get at native inn. not even by a mile.

INCREDIBLE VIEWS”
This was definitely one of the more unique places I have ever stayed in all my travels. I have been to about 24 countries and always as a "traveler" - not for business. So, I often try out different places to see what they are like. This was probably the most unique place I have ever stayed at. From what I understand, a truly traditional experience. If you are expecting anything "modern" - you will be disappointed. But, if you want to stay at a place you won't soon forget - then this is the place. We took a bus from Baguio to Banaue. It was supposed to be around a nine-hour bus ride - that turned into twelve hours because of an overturned truck in the middle of the road. Then, after a twelve-hour bus ride, we (there were two of us) jammed into a tiny trike - and proceeded to bounce around on gravel roads for another thirty minutes. It was at this point I was thinking - no place could be worth this "pain". ^-^ Well, my mind changed once we arrived at the Native Village Inn. I still get goosebumps thinking about that first time we saw the view from the top - it was literally breaktaking. Right up on top of the mountain - looking down at the valley and all the rice terraces. Amazing. Although the San Miguel beer that was my "welcome drink" was not cold - it was still nice to be able to sit and just enjoy the views while we had a bite to eat before checking in. The "room" was another "shocker". The website says "traditional". It could not have been more traditional. To briefly explain - it was a triangle shaped room on stilts - with one mattress , a light and a few hooks to hang things on. There was another building that had two toilets and two showers - and an outdoor sink area to wash, shave, etc. Turn around and there was the valley and mountain view. Truly an outdoor/traditional experience. Staff and food were great. Only bad thing - the owner had to leave for business and took the portable wi-fi unit with him - so we were without wi-fi. ^-^

Great way to experience Banaue”
We stayed at the Native Village Inn and the Banaue Hotel on this trip. The Native Village Inn is by far a better choice if you don't mind a little rustic experience and shared bathrooms. It is small though, so you will definitely need to book in advance while the Banaue Hotel would likely always have one of the tired old room available.

Unique experience, serene, attentive staff, very clean”
You can tell that the staff at Native Village Inn take pride in creating a relaxing stay for guests. The washrooms are always clean and the food is fresh (keep in mind you need to place your order in 2 hours in advance). The unique hut cottage that you stay in has mattresses and blankets (we asked for extra at no cost because it was cold when we visited) and the staff are so accommodating. We enjoyed a nice fire outside and the spectacular views. It's best to have a car so that you can drive down to the trail and get a guided tour. Very pleasant stay that we'd recommend to anyone

Amazing place!”
The Native Village Inn was amazing, we went during low season and there was hardly anyone else there. The owner is extremely nice and helpful. This place is also situated high above the rice fields with an almost 360 degree view of them from high up. The traditional Ifugao huts are very authentic and comfortable. The staff were also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend a visit!

Hidden gem”
We enjoyed the location of the Native Village Inn, away from the town center but equally surrounded by beautiful rice terraces. It made for a nice, quiet and relaxing getaway for us. We would definitely stay again at the NVI.

By far the best place I've stayed in Banaue when it comes to cleanliness, and services they provide”
We've stayed at The Native Village Inn last June 17 during my birthday after a 2 nights stay in Batad, this is about an hour drive from the town proper and you have to drive over to the mountains, cross narrow and zigzag road's before you get to the place. At that time we were the only guests and the entire place is very peaceful, each Nipa Hut are beautifully designed, and they have many sockets wherein you can charge your gadgets, even at the viewdeck area. They also served very large portions of food, a must try is their "grilled Bangus with rice and vegies" and their vegetable curry. The viewdeck area offers magnificent view of the Hapao rice terraces. The owners - Graham and Nina are very hospitable and we had such a lovely time at your place. Looking forward to my next visit and God bless

If you want to experience .....this is it”
This place is not for everybody, if you are just used to hotel stay then you need to stay in hotel, but if you go up to Banaue and feel and experience in Authentic way ,then you love this place. There in no other place in Banaue. Rest of hotels are just hotels. When you wake up you feel you are totally different world....so quite, only thing you can hear is the sound of creek miles away ...the air is so fresh......what else food is great too, served by them and eat it outside as the Sun rise. You can see the line of the Sun doing down ......What else can I tell you ? If you stay in town, or they call it village, you are defeating the purpose of going up there ...

Awesome experience”
Overall pleasant experience! Accommodating staff, friendly dog (haha), good food, and authentic cottages. The only feedback I have is if they could adjust the sign on the entrance of "Native Village Inn" so that it would be easier for travels to search for it.

Authentic native hut with a great view”
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The hut was a real native hut made of wood, bamboo and local materials. The one we got had a window that opened to a magnificent view of the Banaue rice terraces so we would lie on the mattress and stare out the window..so romantic :) The staff was very friendly. Toilets and showers were clean. It's just a bot far from town but that's what makes it perfect if you just want to get away from everything.

enjoyable stay”
We had a pleasant and enjoyable overnight stay at the Native Village Inn. The authentic Igorot style hut was comfortable, quite interesting especially for the kids. The staff were friendly, courteous and went out of the their way to provide for our needs. The view of the rice terraces was fantastic! Food was okay, but not spectacular.
