Loved this hotel and its location”
Staff were super friendly welcoming us with flesh warm towels to wipe our hands and a drink. We were able to check in 2 hours early and loved the room. We took the advice of other reviews and booked a side room instead of one facing the street which we heard would be quite loud. Room was quiet and peaceful. We loved the pool upstairs and would go up at 7:30pm (pool closes at 8:00pm) to do a night swim and see the view from the hotel. Definitely recommend going up to take photos if you did not choose a room that faces the river. Ferry stop located right outside, definitely recommend the use of the ferry to travel around as it stops at many major sites (Palace and Wat Arun).

Navalai Pra Athit”
Good hotel with a variety of rooms, facing the street, the river, or the adjacent buildings. Interior of the rooms is outstanding, with an integrated bathroom separated by a window (and curtain, of course). Good pool and pool bar on top of the building, and Aquatini is a very good international but still thai restaurant. You sit on a platform on the river - outstanding. I was missing a public area to sit with guests. There is a lobby, but this is more a waiting area for pickup. Internet connection is very bad. When I pinged from my room, I had lost pings for www.google.com. Emailing was not possible, because my mail host did not connect. The problem is known, but nothing happens. Pra Athit Rd is a good connection to palace, Khao San and Museums (National Gallery, Queens museum, Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall). Ferry point is directly adjacent to the restaurant, but ferries discontinue service at 7:30. So coming home from the city means taxi or walking, a the endeavor to use a bus. Restaurant scene on Pra Athit Rd. is splendid. A booking spot for tours is integrated, happened to be very reliable. Currently the place is closed, hopefully it will open again when Thailand opens up again.

Good Short Term Stay”
The staff greeted me with slight changes to agreed upon room. Not nasty but not nice. In the past no problems, in the future will I stay again? Maybe, but there are many hotels out there near the river.

Top Class ASQ Hotel”
Have just completed a 10 day quarantine at this hotel and am very happy with my choice. Difficult to find fault with this ASQ hotel. From the airport transfer to checkout everything was well organised and professional. Would recommend a room with a big balcony and unobstructed view of the Chao Phraya river and all the river traffic. Definitely helps to pass the time

Nice hotel”
My only complaint was no coffee available, had to go to 711 out front to get coffee , also the area to view the river was blocked off . Other than that all was ok .

No Telling”
Was used as a ASQ quarantine hotel so I saw none of the hotel or facilities. Staff was wonderful, the room A/C worked great, room decorations were very old and needed repairs. Old style furnishings and very dark bathroom and bedroom. Balcony was large and close to the river

worst place ever”
They have no knowledge of food safety here. They left food out by my door, and then like 4 hours later they said they would reheat it, which in that case, they should just throw it out. Oh and there is no balcony, so they led about that. "The balcony door only opens 10cm, Sir" is what they emailed me, after they slammed the door shut on me. No fresh air for 2 weeks plus a day? There is no help with ordering from 7-11, none. I want out of here so bad. This is worse than a prison, because there you can order coffee and snacks in your own language. They are so worried about Co-Vid? But they serve people old food. BS

Great location with a fantastic restaurant”
i would highly recommend the navalai river resort. the hotel is in a great location. right on the river at ferry stop 13 which means that there is easy access to the main temples and the grand palace. you can also get the boat down to the sky train which takes you to the malls. the hotel is also a 5 minute walk from khoa san road, the main tourist street in bangkok. there are plenty of restaurants, stalls and amenities just outside the hotel. we also stayed on sukhomvit road and had a 60-90 minute commute into the tourist area each day so location is a big factor when choosing a hotel in bangkok. the hotel also has a great restaurant right on the river.it nevers seems overbusy but i don't know why as it was the best food we had in bangkok. the rooms themselves are nicely decorated and well maintained. don't expect the same as you would get at one of the 5 star resorts but they are still modern and reasonably spacious. please note that a city view room seems to mean that you get a room overlooking the road which can be noisy with traffic and bars. the cheapest rooms (serene corner rooms) are in the middle of the hotel and whilst they overlook the next building they are much quieter. we actually asked to downgrade to get a quieter room so don;t bother paying the extra! if we went back to bangkok we would definitely consider staying here again.

A great place to stay”
I was quite pleased with my stay at the Navalai River resort. The hotel is conveniently located within a walking distance from major tourist attraction and right on the banks of the Chao Praya River. The staff at the reception was helpful and the check-in process took less tha 2 minutes. The lobby is nicely decorated and contributes to a welcoming atmosphere. The room I had booked, "Serene corner room" was also nice, had a decent size, a large balcony, nice furniture and a relaxing bathroom. I guess this type of room was a better choice than the ones facing the main road as my room was very quiet. Since I had asked for a room in the higher floors, the view was nice and the river could be seen from the balcony. I haven't had a chance to stay in one of the river view rooms but a great view could be seen from the top floor, where there is also a swimming pool. The price I got for the room with my online reservation was reasonable. Living myself in Thailand, I often go to Bangkok for short business trips. The Navalai River Resort will be my choice for my next trips.

My favorite Bangkok hotel”
The Navalai has become my go-to place in Bangkok when I come here to use the National Archives, which are located up Samsen Road. What I like best is the familiarity of the rooms: the design and quality of the furnishings is right up there with a good western hotel, but with a distinctively Thai flair. I love Phra Arthit Road's small cafes and old Thai mansions (several princes had houses along this road), and at nighttime it's quite the hotspot for local (Thai) hipsters to come and hang out. If you're not into that, the Navalai is nice and quiet -- at least, the "serene corner" and "river view" rooms are. :-) The restaurant downstairs has a lovely river view, and the breakfast buffet has really nice variety on offer. Typically the spread includes ham & bacon, scrambled eggs, various breads for toast, croissant and baguette, cold cereals, fresh fruit, and yogurt (not to mention an Asian breakfast option as well). Though there is tea and juice on offer, their fresh coffee can't be beat. When you are too tired from sightseeing to leave your room, you can room service, although it's a little pricey. (For cheaper drinks and snacks, try the 7-Eleven downstairs, or any one of the vendors down the street.) In addition to the 7-Eleven, there's an ATM in the front of the building, and a money-changing booth just up the street. Lots of buses and taxis coming along this street at all hours. Oh, and don't forget the riverside park next to the Old Fort at the end of the street. It's easy to get around town from here, too -- whether by river boat (15 baht will get you all the way to the Saphan Thaksin bridge SkyTrain station) or a taxi (about 60 baht to Siam Square, where you can also pick up the SkyTrain). The Grand Palace, National Museum and Thammasat University are very close by as well. Enjoy!
