Navatara Phuket Resort
"The reception helped us a lot during our stay."

Navatara Phuket Resort is located only a few hundred meters away from Rawai Beach. Rawai Beach, located at the south end of Phuket island, is not a swimming beach but offers beautiful views on the many nearby islands in a peaceful local atmosphere. It is a great place to enjoy seafood and a good starting point to do some island hopping. When driving south, the left side of the main pier is known as the ‘Gypsy Village’, where long established fishermen in rather precarious houses make a living of fishing, boat chartering and selling shells. Rawai Beach is very popular for the many seafood restaurants all along the waterfront. The property is only 1 kilometer from Cape View Point famous for its striking sunsets which, with its sugar palm trees, is a symbol of Phuket island and Yanui Beach which has beautiful view and quite beach. For swimming, guests can drive further west to Nai Harn, an amazing white sand beach. The property also offers a shuttle bus to this location. Overall, Rawai Beach is not the usual beach destination but offers a unique local feel. It is perfect if guests prefer a quiet and peaceful holiday with a lot of delicious seafood.

Great staff, good location, some issues”
I’ll start with the good points. The staff is wonderful - great customer service, and very helpful. The hotel offer free shuttle service to 4 destinations: Cape Panwa for sunset, Yanui Beach which has some good snorkeling, Naiharn Beach which gets crowded, and Rawai Fish Market/Rawai Beach where you can stroll along the waterfront and find lots of eating and shopping options. All of these places are not far, which makes Rawai Beach a nice location on Phuket - it’s a much quieter area of the island compared to Patong and the popular beaches on the west coast. The pool is nice, and the food was good - the breakfast is a generous buffet. Now for the low points. The hotel is on a busy road, and the restaurant is right along the front of the property so you get a lot of road noise. There’s a gym across the street that plays loud music during classes, some of which are at breakfast time. The hotel sits literally under 2 big cell towers, so if you’re going to stay for any length of time and are sensitive to that kind of thing, beware. The bed was horrible - way too soft, and we woke up with aches and pains every morning. Very unusual for Asia, where beds are usually rock-hard. The spa was disappointing - I had a package that included a hot oil massage and facial. My husband chose the aromatic oil massage, and both of us kept asking for more pressure. I think they’re better at Thai massage than Western-style, therapeutic massage. The facial was nice, but the whole package seemed over-priced for the quality - I paid 1,000 baht for both, and my husband’s massage was 600 baht. You can get excellent massage around the corner at Noi Massage for 300-400 baht. Overall, I think this is a good place, but doesn’t quite live up to the price we paid, which was close to $155 USD per night (during holiday, high season). There are lots of choices on Phuket, but Rawai Beach is a nice, quiet destination, and if you can get a better price on the rooms here, I’d recommend it. Maybe ask for
Highly Recommended Stay at Navatara”
Extremely kind and thoughtful staff, great location that has a nice local feeling, fantastic beaches Nai Harn and Ya Nui are a close free shuttle drive away, relaxing, beautiful saltwater pool, nice buffet breakfast.
Friendly staff, room clean, delicious food”
most of staffs are friendly and have service mind. we were super impressed at first sight however during our stay, some of staffs were showing faces we accidentally saw it maybe they have personal problems but It makes our feeling down. Location of the hotel a bit far from beach area however hotel provides shuttle bus service to beach and phomtep cape. Hotel room is clean. Breakfast is amazing!
Nice hotel to stay ”
The hotel is small (it has two buildings but only 32 rooms, and there is a small swimming pool between the two buildings ). We eighteen people (4 kids and 6 elder than 60 year-old) have been stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The reception helped us a lot during our stay. They are very nice and kindhearted. The dining room is also a great place to try local food. We ate several times there. BTW, the hotel is a little bit far from the airport (about 100 mins to drive) and Patong Beach.
we had a very nice weekend stay here. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. They offer free shuttle service to various beaches and tourist attractions nearby. It's a bit far from the airport though which should be considered uf you just go for a weekend.
Good value for money, friendly staff, nice pool, ok restaurant, supermarket and few restaurants are close. few issues: only few shuttle bus to the beach daily, bed and pillows are not the most comfortable...
Stayed here for 7 nights. Great room and pool. Breakfasts were great. You can order eggs different ways or pad thi, noodles. You can walk to rawai beach but you have to pass garbage trucks on the way that don't smell too good. The have transport to take you to fish markets or beach which was free and great. Meals in restraint were very tasty.
Fantastic service, great value”
Staff : friendly and attentive (all staff I encountered) Room : clean, spacious and modern Free drink : given a shell to redeem, which is a new concept to me, much more classier and stylish than a piece of paper. Fresh fruit and welcome drink on arrival and check out. Breakfast: poached eggs wernt done very well first day, scrambled eggs 2nd day we're good, buffet selection had a nice variety of food options The service at this hotel was comparable to 5 star service, even better than some 5 star I have stayed. Draw backs : gym is dated. And no real views. Location: away from the hustle and bustle. Beaches 5 - 10 minutes away by bike. Keep up the good work, hotels like yours will only force other hotels to up their game
First time at Navatara and we were very happy. Staff are fantastic, location is ideal and the rooms are very good. We have been to Phuket many times and stayed in many large and small resorts and Navatara proved as good as the reviews. We will definitely stay again. A big thank you to Nikki and Su on reception who made my wife's 60th birthday so special....its those little touches that make holidays great.
Nice place, very calm and peace, near to Rawai beach, opposite Phuket fit, free shuttles to Nai harn beach (which is very good for swimming), good swimming pool and almost empty all the time we use it, otherwise not so many sun lounges, room is nice and comfortable, very clean, breakfast is ok (food are fresh and tasty) but quite same every day, food in the restaurant is good taste and value (very near is nice local rest Driftwood which is killer for money) except salads (we tried few), all the staff is best, thanks you!
Home in Phuket”
Our stay at Navatara Phuket Resort was very nice although the hotel is not near the beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and decorated, with free WiFi. We had easy free transportation to the near beach or we could enjoy quiet time at the hotel pool side. There is a great fitness center next door and some family restaurants with good local food.
Beautiful resort with friendly staff.”
We had a lovely time at the resort, from our friendly 3 a.m. airport pick up to our late night drop off and everything in between! The staff members were extremely friendly and helpful in making sightseeing recommendations, booking boat outings for us (departing from the nearby Rawai Beach)and shuttling and taxiing us all over the island. The rooms are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. The amenities are great and small extras such as fresh beach towels daily and a clothes drying rack on the balcony make all the difference. The resort is located within walking distance of shops, ATMs, restaurants and beach bars - close enough to everything you need, while being away from the more commercial side of the island. Highly recommended for a relaxing and truly enjoyable stay with a more local flavour.
Peaceful, Serene, Restful and Satisfying”
The hotel is not too big, but not too small. It's rather new, so everything was super clean. The staff was amazing, they were always smiling and happy to see us. Incredibly helpful. Great service. The Breakfasts were great. My fiance is a vegetarian and she loved the variety, I'm a carnivore so there was enough bacon going around as well as plenty of other veggies and tons of eggs. They don't have their own fitness centre, but straight across the road is a Kick Boxing clinic with a gym that you can use for a few Baht. Also super clean with friendly staff. You can rent a moped from the hotel, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Beaches are a bit of a ride, but that's all part of the adventure. I enjoyed every minute I spent at Navatara and if I ever go back to Phuket, I will definitely stay there again. We were sad to leave, which is a testament to the experience and time we spent there.
Very nice new hotel”
New hotel, very clean with a great swimming pool. The location in Rawai is close to many beach front restaurants. It is also close to Nai Harn beach. The staff were very nice and helpful. This is also a good hotel is you want to work out as there is a gym right across the street.
Superb relaxing hotel ever”
it was wonderful to stay at this hotel, me and my family really like the environment and hotel design and especially thank you to all staff for premium service, never be hesitated to come back here again :)
quiet comfortable and new resort”
A very pleasant stay of two nights and good value for money. The resort is situated right at the far end of Rawai beach but still walking distance (just) to the main areas. Only complaint was the small choice for breakfast and the eggs and omelettes where pre-cooked and not on a heat tray so were cold. Apart from that a very relaxed and pleasant stay and the bed was especially comfortable (I live in Thailand so I'm used to the harder beds most places have here!)
highlight of our trip!”
we chanced upon this hotel while our stay in other part of phuket. the staffs are attentive and considerate. had our room upgraded with pool access, and that was the best thing we could ask for that we swam everyday during our stay. the pool is relaxing, with jacuzzi right in the middle. the float that staff has provided was another thoughtful gesture that is commendable. they provide free drinks everyday, and they go all out to get our questions about rawai answered. will definitely come back to this family-run resort the next time i visit phuket !
Brilliant place. Fantastic staff wonderful food”
The staff were all lovely and extremely helpful arranged transport and tours for us. Place is a little bit far from large shopping centre's but that's what we wanted as didn't want to be on the hustle and bustle. Walking distance to Rawai Beach and shops also smaller local markets. Would return.
friendly staffs, stay away from the crowd in a beautiful resort”
we booked it at the last minute, and we were very happy of our choice. we came by motorbike ourselves, so it is easy to drive to different beaches and see the sunset viewpoint near by the hotel. if you would like to have some peace and away from the crazy Patong, this is your choice! -Friendly staffs (they are always helpful and with smile on their faces), great breakfast (not a buffet offer like a big hotel, but you can custom to order quite a lot of variety that you want to eat.), the pool is beautiful.
The staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful. They gave us great advice on places to go and things to do. The rooms were nice, a little dirty but nothing that kept us from staying there. The pool was fun and breakfast was great. It’s a little far from the beach but they have a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up. We rented scooters and that made it a lot easier to get around.
