Navatara Phuket Resort is located only a few hundred meters away from Rawai Beach. Rawai Beach, located at the south end of Phuket island, is not a swimming beach but offers beautiful views on the many nearby islands in a peaceful local atmosphere. It is a great place to enjoy seafood and a good starting point to do some island hopping. When driving south, the left side of the main pier is known as the ‘Gypsy Village’, where long established fishermen in rather precarious houses make a living of fishing, boat chartering and selling shells. Rawai Beach is very popular for the many seafood restaurants all along the waterfront. The property is only 1 kilometer from Cape View Point famous for its striking sunsets which, with its sugar palm trees, is a symbol of Phuket island and Yanui Beach which has beautiful view and quite beach. For swimming, guests can drive further west to Nai Harn, an amazing white sand beach. The property also offers a shuttle bus to this location. Overall, Rawai Beach is not the usual beach destination but offers a unique local feel. It is perfect if guests prefer a quiet and peaceful holiday with a lot of delicious seafood.

Relaxing and refreshing stay at Navatara resort”
Stayed 5 nights with my girlfriend at the Navatara Phuket resort. Considering that Navatara is relatively low budget the hotel conditions were fantastic. Large comfortable rooms which included additional beach towels daily that where much welcomed. A beautiful(especially at night) infinity pool was within steps of our balcony which made our stay all the more pleasant. Breakfast was above average, although the variety didn't change a lot from day to day, it did include a decent mix of Western style & also some Asian cuisine. The hotel staff were really great and always happy to help arrange day-trips, the renting of a scooter & even just simple directions, they made our stay all the easier. Only real issue with Navatara resort is it's location. Location of Navatara & Rawai itself is a little bit isolated from the livelier Patong & Chalong, especially in the lowseason. Although it's perfect for Island hopping to the likes of Ko Khai Island off the southern coast of Phuket, it's necessary to take a scooter for 30-45 mins to Patong & beaches like Kata & Karin, places which have alot more action & amenities. The scooter is highly recommended as a cheaper, more efficient alternative to taxis as a means of transport from Navatara. Overall had a great break at this resort. Superb staff make it easier for me to recommend the hotel to friends & family. (P.S. Two daily complimentary drinks were also a great treat from staff)
Exceeded expectations! Will go back again! ”
Navatara is highly recommended! The rooms are very clean and spacious, bathroom is great, and the quiet pool (in April) is ideal for chilling if you dont feel like leaving your hotel. The resort is at Rawai area (which is good for us because we dont like crowded areas), and Hai Narn beach nearby is quiet and beautiful. The resort provides shuttle bus service at fixed timings to the nearby attractions. We rented a bike so that we can manage our itinerary with much flexibility, and it was a great choice. The rental of motorbike from the resort is a great choice, as they are reasonably priced and very convenient because you can pick up and return the bike to the resort. Please also try the local Thai food at Archee, which is 2 min away on the left of the resort. There are also decent restaurants along the Rawai beach area. For dinner, do try out the interesting street where you buy the seafood from one stall and get the restaurant to cook for you. If I had to pick something to improve on, perhaps the management can consider providing free airport pickup as the taxi journey to and from the airport can be pretty expensive. Would like to compliment staff, Miss Jib, for giving us good recommendations and helping us on some queries. She was really friendly and made us feel welcomed at the resort! Overall, thumbs up for this resort! I would give it 6 out of 5 stars for the value!
Comfortable hotel in Rawai”
Navatara is a comfortable and resort like hotel in Rawai. Generally not much to do in Rawai compared to other towns but if u want peace and quiet, it's a great place. Walking distance to the beach (not a swimming beach), boat rides, elephants, bars and restaurants. The free hotel shuttle van takes you to any spot on Rawai for free, so moving around is not hard. Also close by is naiharn beach which is beautiful for swimming and lounging around. The free shuttle from navatara will drop you off and pick u up too. Taxis quite costly in Phuket.
Excellent shuttle service, great breakfast”
The hotel itself was nice, clean and has a huge pool. The staff, from the team at reception to the housekeeper lady, was very welcoming and always ready to help. We love the attention to detail and decor at Navatara, they even provide you with a beach bag with towels in your room and mats and parasols for the beach. The free shuttle service is excellent and very efficient - they can take you to nearby places including Nai Harn beach and Rawai. Being in Rawai meant that we were a little more remote, away from the busyness of Patong or Karon but still able to enjoy the beautiful beaches that Phuket has to offer. I would just say given that you’re a little more far out, you should plan and arrange ahead of time what activities you want to do in Phuket. The breakfast buffet offered a large variety of dishes and drinks and you can also choose to have specific dishes made for you from a menu (e.g. pad thai). Overall, a wonderful stay.
Lovely boutique resort for a quiet stay in Phuket”
This is our second stay at Navatara and we will definitely be back! The resort and the area it is located in is quiet - perfect for a relaxed holiday. The resort is walking distance to restaurants and the Rawai beachfront. Rawai Beach is not a swimming beach, but there are many boats there that can take you to small islands close by . The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to the swimming beach and they also provide free umbrellas and beach mats. The rooms are spacious and clean and the breakfast is good. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as well. This resort is great value for money and we will definitely stay here again when we are in Rawai.
DearOlga Thank you so much that you love our slow life hotel. We are very happy about that. For the next time If you have free time or your next holiday we hope to see you again and we will make a new experience with you again at Navatara Phuket Resort. Good Luck!!! Best Regard Milk
Nice stay in a more quiet are of Phuket”
We stayed at Navatara for one week. The hotel is located in a relatively quiet are of Phuket, which was great for us since we do not like crowds. The nearest swimmable beach, Ya Nui, is a 5 minutes scooter drive away. The road from Navatara to Prompthep Cape, Ya Nui, Naiharn and Kata is quiet and there is a little traffic apart from the time around sunset when there are bus loads of tourists coming to Prompthep. There are alot of restaurants and shops in Rawai Beach which is at walking distance. Our room was nice and clean altough some days the cleaning crew came late in the afternoon which was a bit inconvenient. Hotel area was beautiful and the pool had nice sunloungers. Unfortunately there were lots of loud Chinese tourists staying at the hotel at the end of our week due to Chinese new year. The hotel restaurant served a good breakfast but very poor lunch and dinner which was also pricy considering the taste of the food. We would advice to eat outside if possible. There is a very nice restaurant called the Driftwood Phuket down the road towards Rawai Beach in the first intersection. The reception staff made our stay by helping us organize transportation to our next hotel in the Krabi area. They can also arrange a scooter from a reliable company.
Best value for money!1st class Hotel Service!”
Excellent. We stay at patong, kata and rawai. This is best hotel we stay in phuket. We get welcome drink n food upon check in. Hotel arrange free shuttle bus for us to nearby beaches and attractions even at night. Staff can speak english well and give useful information when we ask. Swimming pool very clean and open 24hours. Food not too much, but it taste good. We enjoy it very much. Definately will highly recommend to friends and relatives. If come back, Navatara will be our 1st choices! Thanks Navatara!
Peaceful yet near the beach & action”
The Navatara is simply a great find for high value in what I think is one of the best Phuket locales. If you want madness, there's Patong, cheap there's Phuket Town. Rawaii at the southern tip has access to excellent quieter beaches and the Navatara has a free and flexible shuttle to all of these places. Super helpful and friendly staff and large clean rooms even by Thai standards. Rooms arranges around a refreshing infinity style pool. Massage facility. Excellent breakfast and a restaurant so good that we ate there more than half our evenings. Low cost scooter rentals (but be really careful riding!). Some ground level rooms have direct pool access. Highly recommend this place. Again, excellent value.
New Hotel. Only 1 of 2 new hotels and its the best”
My third time in Rawai but first time in Peak Season. Forget Patong, Karon and Kata. Beautiful down here and cheaper. 2 big new hotels went up in the last 2.5 years sine I have been there. Navatara being one of them. No its not the 1000 room resort. More like 30 room. It's plush, quiet and most probably the best resort I have stayed in for all my travels and not just Thailand. Super quiet in peak time. A true new hidden gem. As usual, dont purchase through the hotel. Ask some expats in the local area for bike and car hire prices (they are half) and go through a travel agency and bahter!!
Beautiful new hotel with lovely staff”
Our stay here was wonderful. The staff were very attentative and always willing to assist us with making plans around the area. They have motorcycles for rent at the hotel and bicycles for free to take whenever you like. Breakfast was the best we have had so far with a load of variety and the Thai breakfast options were delicious and really fresh! We really loved our stay here. Rawai was definitely a good choice for location. Much more chilled than the rest of Phuket with amazing food options...make sure you eat seafood at the many beachfront restaurants...really yummy! Thank you Navatara...we will be back and recommending you to all our friends!
First time at Navatara and we were very happy. Staff are fantastic, location is ideal and the rooms are very good. We have been to Phuket many times and stayed in many large and small resorts and Navatara proved as good as the reviews. We will definitely stay again. A big thank you to Nikki and Su on reception who made my wife's 60th birthday so special....its those little touches that make holidays great.
Beautiful new Hotel with wonderful attentive staff”
Our 12 day stay at the Navatara was very relaxing. This is a small new hotel - the pool was not crowded with guests - plenty of room to move about. We were treated like we were good friends by all the staff - from check-in, housekeeping, the hotel owner, restaurant and the maintenance staff. The hotel provide a driver when requested to drive you short distances. It was great to be driven to the local beaches, restaurants etc and you could just arrange a time to be collected to be taken back to the hotel. This transport service was complimentary. Breakfast was simple and enjoyable. We were very sad to leave our new friends made at the Navatara (staff and guests!). We will definateley be going back to this hotel on our visits to Phuket.
One of the best resorts I've stayed at”
After travelling around different parts of Thailand and Indonesia, I've come to the conclusion that my stay at Navatara Resort is easily one of my most memorable and unforgettable. I stayed at Navatara Resort in August 2016 (yes, 3 years ago!), so I shall not comment on the facilities of the resort since that aspect might have changed. It's however truly amazing how the staff can make so much difference. Every service staff we met in this resort was friendly and helpful with every little request we had. The free shuttle to Nai Harn beach was a fantastic bonus as we loved our afternoon there, and their recommendations on the best restaurants and massage places to go to were great too. I remember fondly that we asked to be directed to a fruit store, and a staff member went out of his way to bring us there, even helping us communicate with the seller. I would absolutely love to return one day soon. Great job, guys.
DearDai, Thank you for choosing our hotel again. We are very happy to service you and make you feel relaxing when you stay with us. We hope to see you again on your next holiday. Good Luck!!! Best Regard Milk
Best experience ever”
This was one of the best experiences we ever had, Navatara is a familly business, they are all very very kind. The hotel is situated in Rawai beach, very calm and nice neighborhood. We took motorbikes and each day we went to another beach. The breakfast is very diverse, european food, thai food, fruits and vegetables. just delicious. One day our friends came to visit us while we were thaking breakfast, the owner even invited them for breakfast, everything was free, we were impressed. In all, a very nice experience in Navatara.
Quiet, relaxing, amazing food in the restaurant”
This is by far the best resort I have stayed in anywhere! We were there in September during off season for a romantic weekend. We often felt like we were the only people there. I might have seen only 6 other people the entire time. We chose the deluxe room which had a very soft & comfy bed, huge bathtub, nice shower with good water pressure, a cute balcony, and ample channels on the satellite TV (although we rarely watched it). The place is surrounded by trees, small plants and makes you feel secluded. The location is awesome and the free shuttle has 4 free tours to go on. We chose the sunset view from Promthep Viewpoint our first night and it was amazing. The next day we took the free shuttle to Nai Harn Beach which is lovely with blue water although the waves were very strong. The next day we viewed the Phuket Fish Market and Harbor at night which was great because the tide was low and you could see fish swimming and enjoy the evening breeze. All the food in the restaurant is great. Always go to breakfast! There is a variety of free buffet items as well as a la carte omelets, french toast and pancakes. We always filled up on breakfast to start the day. For lunch and dinner there is a variety of Thai, chinese and international food that is priced fairly (some of it much cheaper than at Rawai beach restaurants). They also gave out a 20% coupon for the restaurant. All of the staff were AMAZING!!! They give out free beach bags, flip flops to borrow, umbreallas, welcome drinks (as well as goodbye drinks), a complimentary drink from the bar (including a chiang beer or wine), gave us a cooler and cups of ice from the bar, and always went the extra mile. Next time we come to Phuket, we are only staying here!!!
Second stay at this resort”
We stayed for the second time at the Navatara Phuket Resort. It was even better the second time. Rooms & facilities are excellent, the staff are amazing. The Tara Restaurant has great food and the wait staff are outstanding. We will definitely stay here again and recommend this resort to everyone.
The staff at this beautiful resort were incredibly helpful. The pool and resort are smallish in nature, though quaint and adequately sized for when we were there. It is quite nice, though unfortunately it looks out at two huge mobility phone towers which detracts from the beauty. The spa was nice, but be ready for an invigorating stretching with their Thai masseuses. Food was undeniably delicious with their free breakfast (both buffet and a la carte), and the discounted dinner was also outstanding. The service offered by staff was caring and attentive. They never failed to go out of their way to help. A little computer and business office also doubled as a comfortable library with many books to choose from. The resort provided free bicycles for touring around the various areas nearby (e.g. Ya Nui beach, Nai Harn beach, Promthep point, and Rawai) which are little more than 10 minutes away - truly no shuttle is required, though available if needed. The sunset at Promthep should not be missed. The resort even offered to arrange transportation to and from the airport. I recommend you ask them to book the lady (Khwan, pronounced "Juan" or "Wan") as she was so friendly and pleasant, her vehicle meticulous, and with no smoking it was quite a nice ride. I highly recommend this resort for your visit to the Phuket area!
Home in Phuket”
Our stay at Navatara Phuket Resort was very nice although the hotel is not near the beach. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and decorated, with free WiFi. We had easy free transportation to the near beach or we could enjoy quiet time at the hotel pool side. There is a great fitness center next door and some family restaurants with good local food.
Perfect for relaxation without isolation”
We wanted a relaxing break and found the perfect location. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and well furnished and the bathrooms smart, spacious and modern. The rooms have either a terrace or balcony and all look onto the gardens and pool. We spent most of our time there, using the spa and pool. The restaurant was excellent with tasty Thai food with great flavors but not too hot (chili). Breakfast was good too. The staff were delightful, spoke good English and were helpful. The free shuttle bus to various locations was also a great addition. The location in Rawai is very good. Just off the main road along the beach front, so quiet but just a few minutes walk to the various bars and restaurants. You can also take boat trips from Rawai Beach to various islands. Rawai is not the beach for swimming etc but there is a free shuttle bus to Nai Harn which is a fabulous beach for the family. Overall, a very good stay and somewhere I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. If you are looking for the night clubs etc, then this wouldn't be the place for you. But it's perfect for families or anyone looking for the quieter side of Phuket.
Lovely relaxing place”
The Navatara is a smallish hotel, I think about 35 rooms that surround a decent sized pool. It's about a 10 minute walk from the beach at Rawaii. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They are happy to advise on a good place to dine or to offer a free shuttle for you. They also arranged motorbike hire for us which was at the same cost as prices displayed outside of the hotel. We didn't dine at the hotel as we were only there for 2 night's and wanted to explore other options but the breakfast was excellent with plenty of options of Western and Asian food. I've travelled to Asia many times and can honestly say the bacon was the best I've ever had. For a relaxing break in a fairly quiet area the Navatara is a good option.
230 meters to the beach
Free Wi-Fi in all rooms!
