Ideally positioned for shopping trips, this quaint 3-star B&B provides a central and affordable accommodation close to Oxford Street and Notting Hill. A few moments' walk from Paddington station, the Nayland Hotel offers clean, nicely furnished rooms, a cozy little bar area, and a breakfast room. Facing a leafy square, the hotel benefits from a peaceful environment, yet is close enough to the bustle of Edgware Road and Praed Street for guests to get the true London feeling. Within walking distance of Hyde Park, Marble Arch, and Oxford Circus, the hotel is also handy to the West End via Paddington tube, and the nearby vicinity provides a vast selection of food vendors where morning coffees or evening drinks can be inexpensively obtained.
"Centrally located, tidy and staff was polite."

Everything was good except 1st night accommodation”
They should take note on guest request. With 4 adult we were given 2 double bed. Earlier we have confirmed that we gave agreed to have 2 single and 1 double. When we reached the hotel we were given a diff room. Later they managed to change us to the room we requested. The even help us to move all our things to the room the next day. The rest is ok. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is basic still ok
Good Budget Hotel”
I travel a lot on Business to London and am on a tight budget. This hotel was clean / tidy / quiet with no Train / Tube noise etc that I experienced in some of the other hotels nearby. Bed / Shower etc were good. Room was small ... but you don't go to London to spend time in your room and this it typical for the area. There were no tea / coffee facilities in the room and the WiFi only worked well in the Lobby / Bar area. Breakfast was Toast / Cereal / Cheese / boiled eggs etc... Basic but OK.
Don't recommend at all”
WiFi is non existent, connection is so slow! Breakfast is pathetic. Shower hose is rusty. Room small, shower is small. Given the no WiFi, channels in TV is very limited.
Worth the price”
For a no frills hotel, the rooms was much better than we expected. We stayed at the top floor and the rooms were clean, bathroom was also spacious. There is also a lift, which makes it easy for travelers with luggages to access the upper floors. Compared to the other budget hotels we stayed in UK/Europe, this is one of the best.
Value for money”
It is a good hotel with basic facilities. The breakfast is too basic and heater turns off at the evening. I had serious issues with internet speed. Reception connected me with the service provider said some BS but nothing happened. Next night same thing happened and reception told me nothing could be done as the service provider's office was closed may be next morning. The commode was leaking one day and informed the reception they checked and offered me another room but since I was leaving next day I did not bother. It is value for money but they need to step up their game.
Comfy, quality rooms but a bit noisy in a very desirable part of London!”
Very clean, nice comfy rooms and one of many hotels on a street very close to the Paddington tube and train stations. Also lots of restaurants and shops in the area. Breakfast is the standard cold buffet while the only drawback is that the rooms are very close to each other so it is easy to hear people next door. Otherwise I would highly recommend staying a few nights while exploring all London has to offer!
No frills, thin walls, has parking, sufficient for a night”
Don’t pay more than 65-70aud for a night here. You will not feel like you got value for money. Place serves its needs but the rooms are run down and cramped. Bathroom fixtures in our room were green or rusted completely. Walls and floors are thin. We had a heavy footed couple arguing for two nights above us. We were waiting for them to drop through the floor onto our beds. Location is great, the limited parking available is invaluable for inner London (subject to availability, you need to book and it’s free.) Staff are fine. It serves its purpose but don’t pay more than amount listed above. If you are driving, the parking is where you will get your value for money.
Need & Tidy”
Very close to Paddington station and easy access to London city. Will stay here again.
Nice Value in London”
Nice Value in London. Everyone knows London's hotel price is so high. If u make reservation this hotel 40~60 pound per day, It will be good choice.
Perfect location, average stay”
My third stay in this vicinity of hotels close to Paddington. Always love this location and this time I must say it is the best of the 3 properties I have stayed at. Nothing special in the way of service, breakfast and room, but all pleasant enough with a great view to the gardens below.
good for value and place
Great stay in Nayland”
The staff was very helpful. Near from many restaurant and also tube underground. Breakfast need improvement but still ok. I will come back again to this hotel when i visit UK next time
Internet didn’t work”
Internet didn’t work for the 4 nights we were there. Breakfast consisted of bread a boiled egg, slice of ham and cheese cereal coffee and orange juice. Rooms and bathrooms were very small and felt fairly dirty. Staff were friendly, location is decent
What do you expect at this price range?”
Pretty standard for a hotel at this price range, but i didn’t mind since we’re just at the hotel to sleep, if you’re a type to spend much time in your room or hotel, to work or just to rest, i suggest pick somewhere else
This is one of the many hotels in Sussex Gardens which is not very central but convenient. Here are my 3 major criticisms 1- Very thin walls. I don't like listening to the next room's phone calls until 2 AM. So my nights were not very good to say the least. After 3 nights at Nayland Hotel I'm really tired. 2- Very poor WiFi, almost non existent internet. I used my phone instead. 3- Also breakfast is really average, no fruits, no veggies, just bread cheese ham eggs. Staff manages to be nice despite being clearly not interested in their job in this particular hotel. Elevator is recent, the whole place is clean. Bed is OK, linen clean. Overall if you get an Agoda deal this is a budget hotel that can be ok, but I've had better deals in London. Admittedly I also had worse.
C from South Africa”
Good location. Friendly Staff. Clean.
Good price for London, 2 minutes walk to Paddington station, clean and tidy, friendly staff.”
Internet not easy to lo into and kept cutting out.
3 Star Experience”
The hotel location is perfect, staff are friendly, parking option was good, breakfast was also perfect. It holds up to its 3 Star rating. Many thanks.
Nice spacious room, silent, Nice bed. Breakfast is very minimal.
Excellent position, located close to Ammeneties, clean, comfortable, friendly helpful staff, couldn't fault it, no tea or coffee making facilities in room but would definitely still be happy to stay there again,
