Right in the city centre”

Best location you can get in the city of Chiang Rai. Walking street is very close within walking distance (5 mins) but it's far enough to not hearing the noise from the street. Our stay was amazing, the owner is nice and friendly. Highly recommended!

Small, friendly, comfortable stay.”

You can't ask for more for this price range. The owner takes care of their customers with the personal touch. I actually came with the bike, I was going to make two rounds to go up to my room, but the owner chase me to go to my room and they brought up my bike. The room is clean, comfortable unless you do not like hard bed. The location is awesome, right by the area that is happening. I will definitely come back again.

Great place to stay, plus free loaner bicycle”

Good location in the older part of town. I happened to stay on a Saturday night when there's a lively night market only a block away: lots of food stalls, outside ballroom dancing, and jam packed with people. The other nights are a lot quieter. Room was very clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. They have free loaner bicycles which makes it easy to see other parts of the city. I would stay here again.

A-Residence hotel is nice family owned clean & spacious rooms. The aircon works well and bathroom drains well. I have stayed in many places around Thailand and in asia and this place is one of the cleanest I've been. The owners, Tang & A, speak English well and are very easy going and gracious. The grounds and garden are kept very nice and there are several smoking areas outside. Location is wonderful, not in main downtown but only 10 minutes walk to night market, if that, and near walking street on Saturdays and walking to some famous temples. The bonus are free bikes to use for guests. Very accommodating as they provide fresh towels, water, soap and a couple small toiletries. I highly recomend A-Residence and would stay here again next time in Chiang Rai.

My wife and I have stayed here a number of times and will continue to do so whenever in Chiang Rai. Mr A, Taengkwa, and the entire staff are always welcoming and helpful. Rooms are always spotless and the location is super convenient to waking street market. They have added a restaurant since our last visit and the food was excellent. Keep up the good work!

GREAT little place but SUPER HARD bed. They must fix the bed problem.”

We stayed 2 nights in this little place. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The location is great with easy walking to allot of places. The one negative point is the bed. Well, it's really not even a bed. It is a box with a pad on it. This REALLY needs to be corrected. Until this is fixed we cannot recommend this hotel.

Great stay, brilliant bikes”

Had a great 2 night stay here. A short walk back to the main streets, bus station and markets. Hosts very friendly and coffee and bananas at breakfast were nice. Great to have free bikes. We cycled to the Blue Temple, Buddha caves and the White Temple (take plenty of water, this is a long ride). The road outside was a little noisy with motorbikes but that's pretty standard in SE Asia. Room was nice and clean.

It took us really long to choose a Hostel for the stay in Chiang Rai and it showed, that A Residence was the perfect one! The Location was great, stuff super funny and friendly, bikes to rent for free and really nice and clean sleeping- and bathroom. Very quiet during the night. Just perfect :)

very reasonable price with all facility you need but the bed is a bit too hard. the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy to find good and cheap food. Convenient store is also at walking distance. The highlight is the hotel location is next to Saturday night market.

Outstanding room, excellent service, 10 minute walk to the night market & bus station”

Excellent rooms, so much space & immaculate! The only mild criticisms are the shower temperature (came and went, give it time to heat up) and the noise from the school in the morning (i was always up early so no impact to me). I would have enjoyed staying here longer and would gladly return.

Good location & welcoming owners”

This place has a good location right off a man road to get to bus station, airport, temples, etc. We rented scooters directly from them and it was easy to get around because of this easy access. Also you can easily walk to the night bazaar which we did every night for dinner. There wasn't coffee which would have been nice but you do get water. The beds are hard but manageable. Would stay here again! Great owners that make you feel very welcome!

This hotel was lovely, the staff are so helpful and friendly, they told us all the good places to go and told us about a flower festival which was really cool, the rooms are very nice and cleaned to a high standard daily! Also you get free bicycles to use and in the morning you get free tea, coffee and bananas! Perfect place to stay in Chiang Rai thank you

Value for money”

This is a modern value for money guesthouse in a quieter part of town, (although as it sits on a corner you will get some traffic noise from 2 sides), but only a problem if you are very noise sensitive. Rooms are large and clean in contemporary brushed concrete optic which we like, Good AC good wifi, Free coffee and bananas from friendly family type staff. 2 minutes walk to Staurday walking street annd max. 10 minutes to everything else. We did not eat here Recommended hotel

Fantastic!”

We loved A Residence, it had big rooms, in polished concrete with a lovely style. The owners, Mr A and his wife were amazing, we were treated like their family without them being intrusive. The location is fantastic, in a quiet area but only 9/10 minutes from the night bazaar - we were glad we weren't staying in this area as it is noisy and busy. Plus A Residence is around the corner from the Chiang Rai Saturday walking street market - perfect! We planned to stay 2 nights here but extended to 8 because we loved it so much - maybe the best place we've stayed in three months in SE Asia yet! There's a 7/11 around the corner, launderette, a food market etc...or you can walk 10 minutes to the night bazaar and bus station. This place was super super clean with great touches - lots of power sockets, a fridge, wooden chairs, wardrobe, a big mirror, fantastic hot shower, tea and coffee in the morning (and biscuits/bananas!)! A truly great place!

As other comments about how friendly the Hotel owner was (Mr/Khun A) i've verified that is so true, the owner and the whole family was very helpful with all my questions for the touring/ city etc they went extra miles to assist me in all ways and calling all the necessary places to have us booked and as an guest i felt very welcome and the honesty from the hotel owner. I strongly recommend this hotel to EVERYONE!!! Great location (quiet & peaceful sleep, Great location, room very very clean (all seems new including the toilet), Free bicycle rental!! :) Very very happy and glad to experience such a stay here in this hotel.

Near Walking Street”

Great to stay here! The room is big and well designed. It's like a guesthouse to me. The owners are friendly. You can ask them the place to visit or find something delicious to eat. It's near the walking street, only 2 minutes walk. Easy to find.

Great little hotel in charming Chaing Rai”

Super little hotel. Simple but immaculate rooms with very comfortable beds. Very helpful and pleasant owner and his wife. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the charming market and various temples. Definitely recommended.
