Simple, clean, convenient”
If you came to Thailand more than 10 years ago there were many guesthouses like this at this price. I came here years ago and it is nearly the same as before. In a good way. Everything is clean and functional. Nothing is new or deluxe. Staff are very friendly. You have a nice little patio next to a small garden. It is also quiet and on the end of a back street. No traffic noise. No loud parties. The wifi works. You can add a padlock to your door if you wish. For the price - it is the best in Chiang Rai for so close to the bus station and tourist areas. If you want a swimming pool, rooftop bar, fancy mattress - go somewhere else. This is Thai-style in a good and simple way. Good value.

An oasis close to the center”
The guest house is in convenient walking distance from Bus Terminal 1 (I arrived there with the local Bus from Chiang Khong, and there is also a good shuttle bus to the airport) and from the center with walking street... I enjoyed to sit on my terrace facing the garden. People there are really nice and helpful and I found it great they provided free drinking water to refill my bottle.

Functional and convenient”
Very funny and fluent English host. Good value for the money considering location. Not super-deluxe. Super convenient and clean where it matters. Nice garden sitting area out front. Quiet and on a quiet street. No party or honeymoon suite. No mini-fridge or fancy soaps. Just a simple place to stay.

Peaceful and quiet”
The location is excellent. You are in the center but it is very quiet at night. I slept wonderful!! Very clean room, simple furnitures but very cosy. The only negative is that wifi was not working at all. But this was also somehow relaxing, I just watched the birds and read my book :)

Nice little guesthouse in a nice and quiete garden. The guest was really friendly, the room big enough for one person (1 single bed) and the bed comfortable. Well located near the bus terminal and the night bazaar.

Good for price. Very basic fan room. Staff came and sprayed some ants that appeared in the room. Needed a motorbike and they arranged the rental quickly. Not a far drive from some restaurants and the night market.

Very basic, spartan cinderblock rooms, but clean, cheap in a beautiful garden”
We paid so little for our spartan but clean rooms that I almost can't complain at all, and the garden setting is absolutely beautiful, relaxing, meditative. But the facts: what you get is a cinderblock room with a thin metal door. A tiny bathroom with barely hot water and a tiny sink. We walked about 10-15 minutes to it from the bus station. We stayed 2 nights and had a full itinerary well into the late evening that kept us out and about except for sleeping but would have wanted something more comfortable if our schedule were less full. The owner is friendly but didn't offer much in the way of service. We ate our breakfast elsewhere but saw that others opted for it. The neighborhood has plenty of dining options. Chiang Rai is a gorgeous village filled with artists and craftspersons. We loved our visit and highly recommend including it to any Northern Thailand itinerary!

Chiang Why?”
If you have limited time in Thailand, go somewhere else. If you end up in Chiang Rai, this hotel is good for the money. Almost warm showers, close to the bus station and the city's best Khao Soi. No TV. No slippers. No hot water tea pots. Owner is a hoot!

No AC”
It's confused that they wrote "fan room" at the title but have the "AC" in the description. When I booked the hotel, I usually use the filter provided by this app. This time I also filter an AC room, so it pops out in my list. The price is cheap so I booked it without read the title of the room clearly, when I arrived, they said I booked an fan room. Thankfully they still have AC room available so I can pay extra to upgrade to that room. I suggest them to change their system setting so no one will book the wrong room again, but seems like she doesn't understand what I am talking.... Other than that, everything is fine.

Pleasant spot, nice owner”
The owner, Tim, is so helpful. She gave me a lot of information before I arrived and picked me up personally from the airport. Her guesthouse is in a nice shady garden down a quiet soi. Facilities are basic but I don’t mind that. However, the parking area is very cramped and so cars and motorbikes were coming and going right outside my window, creating noise and fumes. Also, this area is full of dubious massage parlours and bars.
