The best value for our money we ever received from a guesthouse!”

Probably the best place we stayed at while in Thailand. We booked the double room and right from checking in we felt at home. They offer hot water, coffee, and tea at the reception. They have plates and cups you can use and they also had a microwave, a kettle, and a toaster. Our room was so clean that we were comfortable walking around barefoot. The washroom was also spacious and clean, and there is hot water for the shower. We loved that you can rent motorbikes right from the reception desk. When we came home after each day, we found a plastic bag hooked onto our door with 2 new water bottles, a new soap bar and a new shampoo! Little things like this made our stay extra special!

Good, clean self-contained units. Staff polite and friendly. Can order food from room service!!! Food was hot, on time, and tasty, and CHEAP~! Oh yeah, Big heart on ceiling with LED lights and one entire wall also in mirrors!! Added some spice!

Fantastic Guesthouse”

We had an amazing stay here and extended several days. The guesthouse is a little way out of the centre of Chiang Rai, but they are also aware of this and offer lots of information and help for booking taxis/tuktuks or bike hire. Great place, if you do hire a bike, as this place is much better value than the places in the centre. It is also only a half hour walk from the Blue Temple, which we found helpful. The room is bright, spacious and very clean. The Reception area is a comfortable place to sit. There is a water boiler and microwave available 7am-10pm along with free teas and coffees. They also have a selection of frozen/microwave meals, snacks and drinks for sale. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They send postcards home for us, and helped us book our slow boat up to Luang Prabang. Cannot recommend enough, if you don't mind being a little outside town.

Great place”

Clean rooms, free coffee and tea services all day long, and free bread judt in the morning. The only problem was that the hostel far from the city, but you can rent a bike or motorcycle if you want :)

Good budget guesthouse 2 km from the city centre”

Good budget guesthouse approx. 2 km from the city centre. The room was not too small. It had a desk and a couple of chairs. There was a little balcony at the back where you could dry your clothes (it had a clothes rack). The bathroom is simple but clean. AC was good. You can buy snacks and some food at the reception. All in all - a good place to stay.

Such a great guesthouse! Extended our stay by 2 nights. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Basic toast for free in mornings with free tea & coffee all day. Little store inside reception. Only downside was it's a bit far out of town but they rent scooters & bikes or a taxi/tuk tuk was only 100baht.

Most helpful and friendly staff in the world”

I stayed here for two nights, we had booked two rooms. Both were very clean. The outside area of the hotel is cozy and charming. You might want to rent a motorbike, for which the staff can help you. They arranged a good bike for us with a trustworthy company. The receptionist is very sweet. Finally, they were really nice to us to give us a free lift to the airport even though we wanted to pay for it. Fully recommended! I will always stay here when I come back to Chiang Rai.

It´s nice and quiet place and the staff was really helpful and nice! Big rooms and comfortable beds! You get water every day and coffee and tea for free. You can rent motorbike, everything withnout any problem. We had really nice stay there.

Staff friendly and welcoming. Nice walk into the city. excellent and cheap local food places. My only issue was the amount of light coming into my room at night. Other then that it was a quiet and pleasant stay.

Really really good place I stayed in Thailand. The breakfast is very good with reasonable price. And they will help you to order food delivery for the lunch and dinner. We extended our staying again and again. Later we said the only reason we stayed in Chiang Rai for a week which is because of this GH.

Terrible location”

The location is terrible (but the guesthouse does clarify that) but they do have decent motorbikes you can rent pretty easily . If not comfortable renting a bike I would highly recommend you look for a different place to stay as there are some very aggressive dogs right by the property, even when we asked some local ladies if the dogs were just yappy or if they would actually attack they said yes and make sure to carry stick. Hah so be ware of the dogs. We also got corned by a pack of about 6-8 wild dogs when we tried to walk the other way down the street from the dogs the ladies warned us about. There's also not much food very near by but like I said if you have a bike the dogs aren't a problem, the foods an easy drive away and same with the main temples. The location is a shame because the hostel itself is actually quite nice and clean with friendly staff!

Nice clean place with good price”

We are two girls and We spend here like 2 night. Place is nice, clean and staff is friendly. You fix motorbike rent on the reception which is fine cause it is not in centre. By motorbike it is few minutes to get to the main street with street food and 7/11. Room was clean and nice, we had room with fan which is fine and more cheap. Wi-Fi in the room.

Price & Place is pretty nice”

We are two girls traveling. We spend here 2 nights. The place is really nice, personal is really friendly and helpful, you can fix the motorbike on reception. Room was clean and everything was working well. Location is little bit far from city so if you have motorbike it is ok. We reccomend this place cause it is clean, nice and calm. With motorbike you can visit all temples around easy 😉

Great place for a reasonable price”

BaanNukanong is a bit far from the city centre, but with a scooter it's easy to get around. Cleanliness was on point, staff were friendly and helpful. After I was bitten by a neighborhood dog they went out of their way to track down the owner and ask them pay a little towards my hospital bill. I would definitely stay here again when in Chiang Rai.

Quiet location, 20 minutes walking from city center, or 5 minutes by bike. Very friendly woman at reception with perfect english knowledge. Rooms clear and large, aircon useless in this place, so take fan room. WiFi works normally, but in evening sometimes lags (when everyone at home watching videos) :) i recommend this place for short time (up to one week) for month better to rent condo.

Free coffee, hot chocolate and chilled drinking water, all day. TV in the rooms (sometimes you need to fiddle with the aerial connection to get a good signal). Hot water showers. It's very cheap for all that.

Cosy and Quiet ”

Fantastic Value for money. we paid for a double fan room and it was peanuts. £4.60 per room between 2! cheapest place we have stayed so far and lovely. the staff were friendly and you have free tea coffe and hot choc in the outside communal area near reception. there arent any places to dine though which was inconvenient. you can hire a bike from reception though which is needed to find food . 7/11 is about a 10 min walk away and reception sells pot noodle type tbings and drinks at the check in desk so you wont starve unless you eat like an elephamt hahaha. white temple was about a 30-40 drive via moterbike from this hotel . great stay and would sty again

great place”

Nice quiet place in a neighborhood. Laundry with machines next door for 10 baht. 2 small convenience stores nearby. Staff allowed me to print some documents. Also called a taxi for me when leaving at early morning. Walking to town for me to get food allowed me to get some exercise daily. Can rent a motorbike or bicycle if you want.

Nice room but hard to get to”

I stayed here one night on my way through Chiang Rai to go to Laos. The room was great, one of the cleanest (but simple) rooms I have slept in to date at this price. Good room for the price. Fan was sufficient at this time of the year (late Jan). Staff spoke little English but were very friendly. The location is not the greatest; the street has few lights at night and is around a 20min walk from the bus station. The tuk tuk driver had trouble finding it, and it was not easily found on a map. We walked from the room to the bus station in the morning, and in the day light it was easy to find and navigate to the bus station. Overall I enjoyed my stay there, and despite its distance from the bus station, I would come and stay here again.

Simple accomodation and good staff”

Stayed here for 1 week in 2018 and 9 days again, in Jan/2019. This place is very good in my view. Simple rooms with a fan, or an upgraded room with A/C, fridge, better lighting, in-room coffee and bigger table and larger TV. Very good room prices. 24 hour staff, very helpful. Very nice beds and good linen. Coffee is available in lobby. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. Can arrange scooter rentals for good price. Tours also available. Local place, many Thai people stay here. I found the cleaning staff very nice, helpful, and very friendly. Never had any problems. Good memories. A+
