Cosy and Clean Accomodation”
We highly recommend Bear went over the mountain. It was warm, inviting and comfortable. The room was clean and the staff warmed up the room before our arrival, the bed was comfy. We had a hot breakfast included and I really cannot fault it, I would return.
Great place to stay”
Very friendly service. It’s a small hotel / b&b in the centre of Geeveston, a small, quiet but beautiful town in the heart of the Huon Valley. The facilities are quaint, beautiful and spotless, the service very friendly and accommodating. The highlight is the food though, have the seafood chowder it’s Devine :-) Would definitely stay again.
Loved our stay, Audrey was lovely and very helpful. The place smelt amazing when you walked in a mixture of home baking, and hot chocolate and coffee. Very central to everything, parking was easy. Rooms and facilities very neat, clean and comfortable. Beautiful full cooked breakfast provided with plenty of dietary options. Only smudge on our stay the sign outside our window got knocked around in the wind as it’s a swinging sign and banged through the night making it hard to get to sleep.
Warm and cozy”
The owner was super friendly, room was clean and tidy. Great for a weekend getaway.
Room quite comfortable, neat and clean, but those with active kids might find it a bit squeezy. Appreciated the breakfast nook, always nice to be able to do your own thing on holiday. Great location right in the centre of town.
Although the stay was short and for only one night, the host made us feel so much at home.
On arrival, warm greeting. Shown room and spa bath (which was the reason for choosing this room/hotel) Straight up, I was told to be careful with the hot water, one spa and no showers for anyone else. The spa was tiny, but I was determined to enjoy the relaxation of the spa....even if my partner had to wait before he could enjoy a welcome soak in spa. The spa was a flop, only one jet worked and the noise for 1 jet was terrible, so switched it off, no spa. Reaching for the TV and hotel manual, one is asked to keep the volume very soft. The romantic movie I took with, could not be played, no dvd player. No milk for coffees n teas. No barfridge to keep champange or beer cold...No food to be consumed in room, fines to occure if food found. All in all, I would have chosen somewhere else if all this was known to me before...afterall, I had made it clear that I was booking because of the spa.....
Lovely stay in a quiet town”
Quiet little homestay in the middle of Huon, central to Hastings, Tahune and Huonville. Amazing rooms with cute teddies all over. Good for pampering your inner-princess.
nice design room”
the room is dark, the tv is not working, but the room design is nice.
We were so happy with our room, we were in neenvir”
Cute little b&b, in a great location”
Bears was a great place to stay in the huon valley. Geeveston is a cute little town with everything you need- bakery and supermarket are across the road. The tahune airwalk is half an hours drive, and the Hastings caves- a must see!- are 40 min the other way- so bears is very central. The host was lovely and the rooms are cosy. Very happy with it
funky hotel with great food”
very friendly and accomodating great theme and great food. Bed was a little soft
Excellent all round”
very friendly and comfortable. geeveston is a superb location in the huon valley, and is also only an hour away from hobart. i would thoroughly recommend bears to anyone. it makes an excellent base for either a short or an extended stay in the area. i particularly enjoyed watching the platypuses in the river nearby.
