great location”

nice and clean, the bathroom is a bit old though, but it is worth the price. in Beijing, traffic is always bad, but you can walk to subway in 5 minutes and you can then go to different places in beijing.

OK but not excellent”

The hotel has the best location if you are going to Haidian District, which has a lot of universities, is close to Zhongguancun, and Shangdi Software Park. It also in close proximity two big shopping malls, subway station, and Carrefour, and heaps of restaurants. The hotel is a bit old. While its renovation is still good, the bed is terribly uncomfortable. Other than that, it's up to standard.

An Older Hotel Worth It's Price”

The Beijing Yanshan Hotel is located in the Haidian district and walking distance from the East Gate of Renmin University. While the hotel does show some signs of its age (faded carpets, decor, etc), the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the price is an excellent value. While there are certainly more extravagant hotels in Beijing, for the sightseer who wants close access to the subway as well as Beijing's universities, this hotel is a great value for its relatively low price.

A pleasant experience”

This hotel is very conveniently located for visiting Renmin University of China. But, being very near the Renmin University subway station, one can easily reach other institutions, such as the University of Peking, and other parts of the city.

Ncie to stay”

the hotel was well located, not too far from the subway station, supermarket, restaurant, ren man university. the room was equipped with water heater, coffe bags, tea bags, etc. my room's view was alright.

Great location, metro just nearby”

Room was fine, there isn't much else to ask for. Every necessities were provided for. The apartment is a 1 min walk away from the lobby so you will need to get out from the lobby to another tower. There's no wifi in room even though you can sense it, it just doesn't connect. However LAN is provided if you have your own laptop. The bathroom layout can be strange as the shower head is in the center of the room. You are definitely going to get the whole area wet. There are great food around the area and the metro is just 5-10 mins from the hotel. There's also a shopping street just nearby, and another shopping mall just on the main road.

okay but not that nice”

it was large room with 2 beds. the shower room had no bed and small. but except that, it was okay. the apartment is next to the hotel so i was little disappointed to move there (it's a different building.) the morning buffet...is not worth if you want some fresh meat. it's usually about chinese cooking style food but they also have lots of breads so if you care for bread it will be okay. anyway considering the enough-size room and the location, it was good. at least for apartment, they will not know if you are with 3 or 4 people so i think even more than 2 people can stay in case..

it is a convenient place. there are lots of bus number to any places. subway station nearby, short distance to summer palace, beijing zoo, beijing university, chihua university. good place to shop for computer, cell phone , electrisity staffs.

Clean, generally good quality, good location”

Generally the hotel is in good condition. The building is a little older but remodels have kept things looking nice and up to date. Service was, once again, outstanding, as it usually is in Chinese hotels. The food and food choices were also very good. Avoid the massage services. The rooms were small, dingy, and I was asked to keep all my clothes on. Not the kind of spa services that I was expecting. Especially disappointing after a long hard day of work.

hotel looks reasonabel room size is big but toilet not so good others are ok. location is good near renmin university and the subway number4line entrance just about 100 meters away and close to zhonguancun and wudaokou breakfast is expensive per person there are many smal restaurant near the hotel friendly and helpful staft

Great location but old rooms”

it is very close to bit and renmin university which makes it an ideal place for me. however,the room is a little bit old. it took twice to open the door because the first door card is not working. the room is okay for those who do not have tough requirements. overall, it is a good place to live for one night.

Aged building but convenient”

this hotel is rather old, and its amenities are not super fancy. but it's very close to the subway station, so location is a big plus. i had expected more out of a 4-star hotel, but apparently it's a typical chinese-style that falls way short of the 4-star scale at an international level. ok for a business stay.

Great Location and clean room”

we stayed in the apartment budget standard room and we were fully satisfied with our choice. the room smelled nice and it was really clean. moreover, it was pretty close to the downtowns such as zhongguancun and wudaokou, which was perfect for us. the only thing which was pity was that they had no hairdryer in the room, so it's better to take ur own stuff in advance.

Convenient hotel”

the plus pt about this hotel was its location. it is very near to renmin university subway station and near to zhongguancun. room wise not that great, passable. internet was ok. the breakfast was expensive which costed around. not much of a variety for the breakfast. however, the hotel made up with its pool of staff with good service quality. the hotel is also near to shopping mall that makes buying of food very easily.

Good location & size of room. Staff were all friendly and accomodating. Room door sound insulation were Very poor. Very noisy/loudly rooms' door close in the midnight and some of people loudly spoke at the aisle. The air condition filter was super dirty and no regular clean which caused our serious cough when we stayed there.

Location ”

The hotel is old , doesn't look like what photo posted but it's convenient. Opposite remin university. Hotel front there's a shopping mall above there's din tai feng. 10mins walk behind there's a Mac donald , supermarket couple of good restaurant - fav was Taiwan food if u didnt like local cuisine. Beijing duck restaurant branch is 20mins walk but it's overrated

In general, you can see this building has been there for quite long from outside, it is a bit difficult to find entrance if you drive and not from Beijing. But if you only stay for one night, this hotel is quite handy.
