lSupersentralt 900 m sør for Buckingham Palace”
Good location but room was substandard for 3 Star Rating advertised. ”
Stayed in Room 104, on the ground level, for one night. There was mould on the ceiling and a strong musty smell in the room. Brought this to the attention of the staff but while sympathetic they offered no solution. Could not move me as hotel was full. Shared bathroom was ok but mirror placed at waist level is completely useless. Would’ve been fine if there was a mirror in the room but something that should be standard in any 3 star accommodation was also missing. The hotel seems to be going through some refurbishment which should benefit the overall quality but would not recommend on this experience.
Everything was lovely except..”
I booked a single room without toilet but I got an en suite instead, wonderful! One thing to pick was that the second night when I got back from outside, I stepped on some glass in my room, maybe the maid cleaning my room brought it in with the broom or something. Still gave 4 stars for cleanliness because my room was cleaned and clothes were folded when I went out
Near to London Victoria ”
Stayed in a single basic room and you need to carry luggage up and down the staircase a bit. However, the shared bathroom was cleaner than expected. Not bad for one short overnight stay.
Not bad place at all”
I came for a 2 nights stay in London, so location and a private room were on priority. Pros: - Location! The hotel is few minutes away from Victoria which is great. You can walk by foot to some nearby places. - Rooms: Seems like they are after renovation which is nice. - Staff: Were helpful, changed my room on the second night after I had difficulty to stay in my current room. Cons: - Rooms: They have basement rooms, which I got for the first night. There was no air circulation inside. They do provide a fan in the room, but it didn't help much. I must say, after request, I got a different room for the second night which was perfect for my needs, So thanks to the staff for that. - Toilets: The whole hotel shares only ONE bathroom, and toilet. Maybe the other ones are under contraction,or maybe other rooms have private bathroom, so take that into consideration. If all you need is privacy and a good location, this place might be for you
Great location but that is it”
I the heart of bustling Pimlico. Stayed in single room shared bathroom . The room was tiny and shabby with fixtures and fittings in need of repair. Shared bathroom was tiny and you have to sit down for shower. Room not serviced.
worth for money
I will NOT be coming to this hotel again and cancelled my 2nd week here. The staff are good - but the hotel needs very serious investment to get the basics right . The first room I had was ensuite in the basement. This whole area had really bad damp and there was no central heating so it was very cold. The smell was really bad and the bedroom walls were damp to the touch. The room was in a poor state of repair and needed significant maintenance. After complaining I moved to a room on the first floor. The bed was firm and comfortable - but that's the only positive. The sink in the 2nd room was blocked and had a 'food type reside' left encrusted on the bowl after the staff half cleared it. Again - no heating in the room. just an electric portable heater. The room was not ensuite so it was a shared bathroom which was a disgrace. No shower curtain and there was a 'backflow' of water from the drain onto the floor. The smell of 'damp' was everywhere and was quite overpowering. Avoid
trustworthy night receptionist”
I had to get up on time in the morning to deal with issue quite important to me. My phone battery had gone and I forgot to take the charger. The night receptionist promised me he would wake me up. Exactly at the time in the morning without one minute missing, he knocked my door. Very rare happen to a trustworthy person. Very appreciate it.
Fine for the price”
Of course, you cannot expect a whole luxury world when you pay this amount of money in London. So I was satisfied with the room - though they might want to do something against the humidity (and a bit mouldy smell) in the room (with shared bathroom). Staff very friendly.
A decent budget hotel”
I had a comfortable stay at the Chester Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful despite my late check in. The bed was really comfortable and I was happy with the central location in Windsor. I will stay there again. I would recommend this to anyone that would like to sleep comfortably and save their money to spend on more interesting things other than hotel rooms.
VERY POOR - NOT RECOMMENDED”
The place is undergoing much needed refurbishment with wet paint and plaster all over. The facilities I had, the room was not ensuite nor did it have a sink, was two floors down a narrow staircase. On the two occasions I went to use it, early in the morning and at about 6pm, it was in use. I was told that only two rooms had access to it but there was no sign on the door and others clearly did. I stay in Victoria frequently and this is at the bottom of the pile, I will not be going back, even for free. Shabbiest place I have ever stayed in and wouldnt recommend anyone to stay there on this showing.
Small and loud ”
We were given the room straight behind the counter at the end of the hall. This had to have been a relatively new renovation as they stuck an lost sized room between us and the desk. Also think it was recent as they forgot any insulation in the walls. When the guy at the desk sneezed or passed wind, it sounded like he was sitting next to you in our room. There was someone in the closet sized room whose texts or email chimes kept pinging every 30 seconds. Again, sounded like it was next to me. Ended with a conversation with the desk attendant. Found a few long dark hairs, I have short brown hair, on my sheets. Tiny room as reported by others. Fridge in room was cool, not cold. Stay away from room 22.
Excellent location, however undergoing extensive renovations”
My room was right next to the lobby, I could hear the night-manger on the phone or playing music in the evening/night. The (loud) construction began at 9AM and continued all day. The room itself was fine, but there was cardboard covering a window above the door (that promptly fell off an hour after arrival). The location is virtually unbeatable, however it isn't a particularly peaceful place to stay at present.
Hotel is under renovation, the room itself is very small compared to the pictures. Bathroom drainage was bad. Sink to brush teeth was way too small. Didn’t change the plastic spoon for coffee, saw left over coffee stain on the spoon by previous guest. No aircon, only fans provided upon request. Only pros was the friendly staffs which helped our luggages thru the stairs. Really bad.
Excellent location in Victoria Station”
Most convenient for travel through Victoria (coach/underground) Station. Good restaurants around the hotel and easy to find supermarkets as well BUT except you don't mind the room of hygiene issues.
We stayed two nights, it was supposed to be daily housekeeping, no one came in, I had to make our beds and I had to ask for fresh towels, just as well we didn’t need more tea/coffee etc. Outside our room was like a building site and reception was quite noisy at night as a few people seem to gather there, the upstairs rooms might be nicer but do not stay on the ground floor.
I booked the Basic Single room here. This means, a tiny room without a window and a shared bathroom. There was not only no window but also no air condition, so that can be terrible. The bathroom has a bathtub share without a shower curtain or shower rod. The bathtub looks not so new so this is a bit disgusting. The bathroom is down a couple of stairs and around some corners, so not ideal if you need to go there in the middle of the night. Also not ideal if you want to fill the kettle for a tea. The hotel itself is under construction so the hallway looks like you would not want to stay there. That being said, it hopefully will be better in the future and also the beds and pillow are amazing.
The place is semi under construction (March 4th 2019). My room had a drainpipe coming down outside my door INSIDE the corridor of the “hotel”. This drainpipe was leaking water across the hallway floor. Inside my room there were 2 steep steps immediately as you enter the room, this must be a safety hazard. Small bed surrounded by wall on 3 sides. I stayed with a friend, only leaving my bags in the room overnight.
