Lovely location,quirky layout.”
Located on a steep hill with lovely views over the Firth of Thames this motel has an unusual and individual layout with each room standing alone. There are communal BBQ, pool and a spa pool which we used. Welcoming, friendly and helpful owners who ordered a take away for us, its to far to walk into town. Clean but slightly dated rooms, excellent Wi-Fi, this is a must stay if you are in the area, we would visit again.
Great view ”
We stayed in the Kowfai chalet - it has an adjacent connecting room so it can get pretty noisy if your neighbors are a bit loud. The living room on the main level has the bathroom, a small kitchenette and the outdoor deck. The bedroom is on the loft, so you have to go downstairs to use the toilet in the middle of the night. The room did get hot during the day since you can't fully open the windows, but cooled down a bit at night when the temperatures dropped. If you are sleeping on the day bed in the living room, the bed is a tad bit soft and you can hear the floorboards from the bedroom above. However the view is spectacular and if you are not a light sleeper it should not be a problem. Grafton is located less than 10 minutes drive from the main street in town - but it is up a very steep hill so not really walkable unless you are very fit.
Stunning views and homely feel”
While the accommodation is abut tired, it creates a lovely homely feel. Staff were fantastic, delicious food, and really friendly. The views make this place a must!
