Bodde her da jeg skulle fornye visum til Thailand. Natt markedet lå rett over veien og resturanter like ved siden av. Det var også noen få barer med gå avstand. De ansatte var veldig hyggelige og rommet helt greit. Frokost prøvde jeg ikke men var inne og tittet og det så bra ut.

Hotelet characterized bit of wear and inadequate maintenance of the standard. However, if one looks for a relatively cheap accommodation with the necessary facilities, then Inter City Butique Hotel is a good place. The hotel is centrally located in Vientiane, near the river to Thailand. It has restaurants, market, massage and otherwise all the necessary services, close to the hotel.

Really great place down by the Mekong river, step outside into the market and to walk along the river walkway. 5 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from the friendship bridge. Very good rooms, depending upon price selection, some with view over the Mekong, all large and bright. Breakfast is so-so, not really their specialities ;-) Slow Internet, hopefully we could connect to the coffee shop below, they had a better wifi and very good coffee. Bor Bpen Yang rooftop bar is very close. So is a convenience store and the night market. It's not the most luxury, nor quietest place to stay in Vientiane, but if you like to be close to everything, it's cool.

Stayed overnight for a party nearby. This is the best place if you want to be in close proximity to local hangouts and shopping. Noisy at nighttime over the weekend likely. Old building but charming. Good value.

Frequent place to spend the night”

If your looking for a place to stay when spending the night in town, this is the spot. A bit noisy but otherwise everything is nice. Wifi is a bit slow though and I recommend to bring an electrical appliance expansion block as there is only one socket in the room. Building is old, but it has character.

Close to several places to eat, across street from night market, big room, good a/c, warm shower, comfortable bed, clean room, nice staff, breakfast available, will stay here again. Construction next door starts early, this was the only issue we had.

Very regular customer for great hotel”

I/we stay here regularly. We live in the countryside outside Vientiane and stay here anytime we have night out in the city. The location is fantastic. Right next to BPN rooftop bar, mini mart, great restaurants and the riverfront night market. We can park in the temple overnight just over the road adjacent to the hotel. I love the decor, room cleaning maids are really nice friendly people. Basically if it wasn't so good we wouldn't continue to stay. Breakfast is very good value as addition. Road can be noisy until wee hours if you are a light sleeper. We go out, so no problem for us. If you don't expect it to be a bit noisy my on Fri/Sat nights

Frequent stay at pleasant hotel with good location”

I stay here often to hang out at Bor Pen Nyang Rooftop bar, practically next door. Rooms vary with respect to noise and size. Deluxe is better than standard for size, but not necessarily location. Breakfast is very simple. Rooms have inadequate power points so be sure to ask for an expansion block (Bak Siap).

This hotel might be within the higher price range.. BUT. After a sunny afternoon, the comfy room and a bath tub of cooling water is exactly what everyone would need! friendly and helpful staff, great view from the room, this is just great.

this place has ambiance and if one never the left the building they would think they were in an exotic land in another era!!! the smell of the wood and antiques and collectables that graced every wall and floor told a tale of adventure and decadence!! the staff were new and in good working order...informative and cheerful!! don,t come here if you are an anal minimalist that only likes new!!! it,s for romantics of the old exotic world only!! Inter-City Hotel Vientiane”

I always stay there when I go to Vientiane these days (I used to use the Lane-Xang) because of its location and because I know what I shall be getting. The staff at the desk are delightful; those in the dining room somewhat slow. The bedroom I like to be given is on a corner with magnificent views down the road and across the river. I shall automatically choose this hotel again next time I am in town.

Unique old world hotel”

This was my second stay at this hotel and I like the large spacious rooms facing the MeKong. The rooms are good but the bathrooms are rudimentary and not that clean but Ok. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is good. I feel comfortable there and the collection of antiques gives it a homely feel. It could be 1940!

Unusual but very pleasant”

I must say when I saw the outside I thought .. oh dear. Step in through the front door and you enter a different world. Very different and the room certainly was. Great views of the Mekong and large room. This hotel I think is a one off. I liked it and would stay again. Great location for night market and restaurants. Bor Pen Nyang bar next door great for watching the sunset but get there early for a decent table. Staff were very helpful and polite. I like Vientiane for the food and wine which is much more varied and cheaper than Thailand. This hotel will be a serious consideration for my next trip. No problems for me.

A pleasant stay next to the Mehkong”

A nice hotel situated near the Mehkong river. The room and hotel were pleasant with wooden decor, especially the floors. Friendly service all the time and an adequate breakfast. The rooms at the front may be a little noisy early evening but this dies down later.

Clean, good location, great staff”

Located in a great area and easy to find. Directly across the street from the night market. Many taxi and tuk tuk available. ATM and mini mart located within 5 min walk. Beautiful decorations in lobby and on each floor. Staff were amazing, checked in early and helped with several arrangements, English speaking also. Buffet breakfast is Lao style along with eggs and toast. Rooms are good size, clean and quiet. Beds comfortable, towels clean. Fridge in room, cable tv, a/c that is cold, free water. Quick check out/in. Great experience, will stay here again for sure.

A great hotel in the right area.”

I was very pleased with my selection of hotel. It has a good feel about it and has the things I want in a short stay location. Checking in was easy and the building was two older buildings knocked together to produce some wonderfully large bedrooms. The restaurant produced good and well priced good meals. The breakfast was very generous and matched some of the larger hotels I had stayed at in Thailand and Cambodia. The others meals we had here were well priced and were of a high quality. The hotel was clean and the wi-fi worked well and was free, which is a big bonus. The night market on the promenade opposite the hotel and on the banks of the mighty Mekong river was great for shopping. I enjoyed my stay a would be happy to recommend this to others.

A really good place to choose to stay in Vientiane”

It was really pleasing to be delivered by my taxi from the border to the door of this charming building, to find that my room had magnificent views over the river and the neighbouring temple courtyard, and that it was furnished, although in an eccentric manner (the bed was a huge mattress sited upon a massive wooden platform, necessitating amazing contortions to get into and out of bed), in traditional Lao style. The people who work there are delightful and helpful and charming. The situation of the hotel is very helpful, being in the heart of cafge and restaurant territory, by the river, walking distance from anywhere you like. I am putting my money where my mouth is: I am booked and paid to stay there again soon, and it is my choice every time I go to Vientiane.
