Very helpful staff- I left something at the Katoomba train station after checking out and was half an hour later that I realized and wrote an email to see if the staff could contact the train station and inform them about that. The staff took immediate action and also gave a call for assurance. With the hotel’s help, I managed to retrieve my stuff and i appreciate the extra service they have even after i have checked out! I was able to check in early at 1pm too. Thanks for making the trip a good one!
Beautiful and comfortable room”
4 of us stayed in a Deluxe Twin Family room with 2 Queen beds. It was very clean with beautiful English wall paper. Beds were very comfortable but the pillows were too soft for us. Walking distance to three sisters and there is a shuttle bus to the Scenic World ...
Awesome location. Excellent food.”
Location was in the heart of all the touristy action but far away enough for peace and quiet.. besides its rich history in Darley restaurant, the food was top notch.. the only thing topping the food was the wine pairing which was an excellent complementary! Rooms were comfy and the staff were helpful withinformation.
Excellent location ”
Location of the property is superb. However staff at reception is a bit lacking, maybe a little smile will help
Great boutique style luxury hotel in the Blue Mountains”
I personally was extremely impressed with this hotel as it seems to me a common theme in Australia as soon as you cross the boundaries of the few main cities, there are really a handful of places that you can call “luxury hotel” type accommodation. Lilianfels is a great smaller single storey/colonial style luxury hotel and as you enter the premises you really do fee the difference from all the Novotel’s that we would have otherwise had to resort o I guess. Our main reason for visiting the hotel was to actually have dinner at Darley’s Restaurant (attached to the hotel in the same gardens premises). The restaurant is simply great, even if you don’t say at the hotel, I would recommend trying out the dinner on offer at Darley’s. It’s either a set 3 course or tasting style degustation menu on offer there and will set you back about $160 per person for the full tasting menu and wine pairing is on offer for about $75 I think (from memory, you should check with the resaurant for accurate data)
A perfect place to stay”
Lilianfels Resort and Spa has given me and my friends an unforgettable Blue Mountains experience. After a long trip with the train from Sydney CBD, the friendly staff and the comfortable room gave us a space to rest. The victorian design also makes Lilianfels feels homey. I love how the curtains drop from the ceiling, covering some part of the bed, it gives some kind of privacy. The beddings were very comfortable and the bathroom is massive! Definitely the greatest place to stay in Blue Mountains area.
Made to feel welcome the minute we arrived. Nothing was too difficult for the staff.”
Got us meals after hours as we arrived back late. Gave me ice in a towel for a bruised foot. The room was quiet, well equipped and very comfortable. The internal lift made our stay easier. Didn’t use the spa and pool this time but will definitely come again. Wonderful art on the walls was an added bonus. Thank you.
Perfect location for our 40th wedding anniversary. Staff were friendly, room very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Enjoyed the morning breakfast displayed with everything one could wish for at leisure. Also made the most of the late check out time which allowed a last look at the spectacular view including gardens in full spring bloom.
A short break - love the Mountains at this time of year”
Wonderful staff and facilities - great breakfasts and beautiful day time lounge / dining area in front of the open fires on big comfy chairs with a book or the daily newspaper - bliss ! This area although needs some atmosphere for dining at night - maybe piped music on evenings the pianist is not playing. The gardens are gorgeous so perhaps some night time spotlighting to add to the ambiance of Lilianfels. Walking distance to Echo Point is a real plus.
Lovely stay at Lilianfels”
We stayed with 2 young children. They were very kind and accommodating and we managed to check in at 1pm rather than 3pm. They also accommodated us with a late check out so the kids could enjoy the beautiful indoor heated pool. We had high tea which was absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend this resort and we will definitely be going back again and would recommend to our friends and family. Breakfast was beautiful too. Thank you
We are familiar with Lilianfels from previous stays so it is just like returning home. We have had a particularly stressful first half of the year and we planned this week away to have a complete break to all of that and the staff at Lilianfels helped us do just that!
Staff fabulous ‼️”
Everything ‼️ 1st class‼️
A Perfect Place to Relax”
I took my 25 year old daughter here to help her unwind and it was absolutely perfect. She had never been to the Blue Mountains and here we were a 3 minute walk from The Three Sisters. We booked in for a spa and High Tea package, sat by the pool, had dinner at a beautiful restaurant...all within the confines of the resort itself. HINT- Any of the rooms will suit your needs, but if you are wanting a view of the valley, choose a room in the hotel complex not the "Studio Room" as you lose all privacy.
Spa treatment ”
Facial peel - technician seemed unsure and careless though sincere and pleasant. Having had many facials in spas worldwide, I felt like she was New or in training? product applied sloppily:- first acid-product into my nostrils; then tried to cover eye-lids, mouth AND nostrils completely with 2nd mask.Info re products and procedures was not as professional or informative as expected. I spoke with desk clerk after as Mgr was away.
Perfect timeout retreat”
My wife and I had a significant anniversary, so chose Lilianfels for it's location in the Blue Mountains. We could not have done any better... superb staff, stunningly spotless room, terrific location and the facilities are excellent. Darley's for dinner is a must do, the spas, indoor and outdoor pools are a welcome opportunity to just relax, but if you want to be spoilt, try their spa packages... they'll make for a very happy marriage.
Beautiful hotel and rooms. Well maintained and very clean. Very nice lounge area and there was a pianist there on the Saturday night we stayed. The Valley view room we booked had a small balcony, but the view was at the back of the hotel, so some garden view but also the carpark. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools. Would have liked to see more sun lounges and shaded areas at the outdoor pool. Within walking distance to the three sisters. Had a very nice stay and would stay at this hotel again.
Think you need to do some painting, especially around doors around reception and staff areas to the restaurant pool and reading room areas. Stairs to the massage and spa need to be gurney' as the stair case is very black. Apart from that staff excellent and we had a nice stay, so thank you.
It was heavenly. Especially the warm indoor pool and their jacuzzi! We went there so many times. A pity that the skies were cloudy and we couldn't stargaze. The rooms were so beautiful, we literally screamed in joy when we first entered the rooms. Would recommend driving your own car and getting dinner early as most shops nearby tend to close early.
We stay at Lilianfels the same every year and have so for the last 5 years. I was surprised reading before going, some reviews advising of poor service and facilities etc. However out stay was perfect again with fantastic service and our suite was amazing. The staff go out of their way to make your stay amazing, thanks again
a little underwhelmed”
Our room was a deluxe room however there was a fan that ran all night outside of our room that was noisy. Room itself was pleasant enough however the décor a little dated. Room was nice and clean and air-conditioning and hot water good. Pillows were a shocker, very uncomfortable. Next visit to Blue Mountains will stay somewhere else as Lilianfels very expensive and thought the room was over-rated for the price-tag. Insufficient parking at the hotel itself therefore unable to park the car near to the hotel and this meant carrying bags from the car. Valet parking available however not keen to leave car keys with valet attendant / additional charge of $15.00 for valet parking. underwhelmed with the standard of food for room service, expensive and not much on the plate. Gym is external of the hotel, not ideal.
