Not a bad stay overall. ”
Room was nice and large fairly well appointed. Bed was creaky though. Facility would have benefited with a fitness centre and indoor pool/spa/sauna. Starting to get a little dated but overall fairly good premises.
good location; great service very helpful staff although not enough of them, reception was crazy and not enough people working. The pool is busy and really noisy, not the most enjoyable experience but the beach is close by.
Peppers Resort Kingsliff”
Have been to Peppers a few times, great resort, amazing pool and surrounds, cocktails by the pool. Room didn’t disappoint. Close to the beach and restaurants. We had a 1brm spa room, bathroom fixtures a little tired and rusty around taps, could do with an update. Overall another great stay, staff very friendly 😊
Still a great place to stay in Salt”
Always enjoy our little get away here.
Another great stay at Peppers Kingscliff”
We have stayed over 10 times and have loved every stay. We normally come with kids bit this time it was just us. This is a great resort in a fantastic location with great facilities and restaurant. Highly recommend
Loved the resort & the area”
The rooms were beautiful and spacious, very comfortable. We had the plunge pool which I didn't realise was twin share but there wasn't anyone in the room next to us so it was ok. Beach is close and beautiful, as well as nice cafes and resorts, great bike riding track as well. Nice restaurant at the resort and spa also
An absolute gem”
You can't really fault this place. The location is wonderful, the pool is heavenly and the staff are amazing. We stayed here for 2 days while my wife attended a conference. Even though the hotel was full of people from the conference, I still felt that I was treated as a special guest. This experience started the moment we checked in when the front desk attendant realised that we have a small child and offered us an upgrade at reduced price. He also made sure that we didn't have to switch rooms, even though we had a second booking as part of the conference. The level of service and attention to detail in this hotel is exemplary. The breakfast room is well above average, although I preferred the pancakes and cereal above the cooked breakfast. The hotel is very close to a row of upmarket restaurants. These are fine if you're in a romantic mood, but the only options for a cheap budget are a fish & chip shop and a small supermarket. My only slight complaint is that I couldn't see any green initiatives at the resort. There were no recycling bins and the housekeeping staff wash every towel, even the ones that haven't been used. This is a minor point, but the hotel is in a sensitive and beautiful natural environment.
You said that the room usually is $460, but we were getting 70% discount. We paid $161 and got a room with a construction scaffold view. Found out that booking with hotel, you will pay $140 per night. Agoda scammed us!!!
Rooms were great but paid extra for the plunge pool - not worth the cost. Skip the buffet breakfast as it was the same stuff 3 days running with no variety at all. Lots of kids and families enjoying the pool and surrounds. WiFi is a little difficult to use - needed to go to reception to get a different code for iOS devices but androids worked fine. WiFi also patchy in bedrooms.
Nice stay, but not exceptional”
I think we got good value for money with this hotel as we got a discount. We had a simple hotel room on the basement level in the west wing. I'd recommend trying to get a bigger upper level room not in the west wing, which is far from the facilities. Some of the lower rooms do have a plunge pool, but is unheated. Beautiful pool area and the breakfast is great. Room was a little dated, could use an update of fixtures and the little things like a mirror, place to put your luggage, desk, more power point, better location of light switches.
For the masses”
Poor service due to public holiday. Not many staff on and rooms weren’t serviced. Staff had little knowledge of local activities. Tried ringing from Kingscliff to get advice on return shuttle and phone not answered. Just rang out on several numbers. Restaurant wasn’t open because of wages on the holiday. Surely a company the size of Peppers could amortize the wages over the year to compensate for that day. Or add a surcharge even. At least inform the residents when you book. Would put me off staying in any Peppers hotels again.
average stay, nothing more”
the location was fine, near the beach and with shops and restaurants across the road. it is a bit of a drive to town but not too far where there's a Coles and a few retail outlets. the hotel pool was nice and attractive. the staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. the room was fairly basic and was average without being special. the room needed new curtains and sound proofing of the a/c units as they can be a little noisy. the bathroom was modern and stylish... but no plug! there was a window b/w the bath and bed so when visiting the bathroom at night the room is lit up waking the partner. generally quite expensive for the stay and i wouldnt return as i felt it didnt present good value for money.
MIles From Anything”
I booked this Resort because they advertise a shuttle service however, they do not offer a shuttle service and to travel anywhere outside the resort you need to pay a taxi or private company. It cost us $70.00 AUS $ ( single way) to travel into the Gold Coast. Walking to Kingscliffe township is also a descent walk.
Peppers Salt Resort is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are superb, pools and gardens stunning and a variety of dining options are a mere stroll away. Staff are incredibly helpful and courteous and Peppers Salt is a favourite, and I will be back. Thank you.
Aussie Day long week end ”
Loved resort , best buffet breakfast . Amazing lagoon pool . Feel the smaller pool could be made adults only as lagoon pool can be very noisy so if wanted to chill out the small pool is nice . Room bit small and bathroom could do with an update . Nice balcony overlooking pool . Really NO need for a mini bar thought they went out of fashion yrs ago as sooo expensive , would be much better for hav a decent size fridge . Would of been nice to have some live music over the wk end . Great location, went to Byron bay and Nimbin. Tracey who came to fix our shower ( my fault there wasn't a prob) was lovely and came very quickly. Staff good . no dd t buy any hash brownies lol . Will def go back .
We wanted a bit of luxury with a nice atmosphere and close to the beach. Peppers met our criteria perfectly and at a reasonable price for peak period. There are alternative eating options just across the road, if you want more Kingscliff is 5 minutes drive. The beach is 3-4 minutes walk and very nice. We hope to come back here again.
Loved the resort ”
Loved the resort and all the special little touches. The one bedroom spa apartment was very well equipped and layed out. The staff were very happy and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The rooms facing the lagoon pool can be noisy and full of screaming children during school holidays. This didn't really detract from our stay as we were out mostly during the day but if you are looking for a relaxing, quiet stay, request a room away from the pool or visit outside of school holidays. Breakfast was included and although it's not up there with the best hotel buffet breakfasts we've eaten we were happy with the quality and choice being it was included in the room rate. We would return but outside of school holidays next time.
It could have been an excellent stay”
I rang reception early and asked for rooms close to elevator and facilities as I need a full knee replacement in October. On check in, I asked again to stay in an area close to facilities. How disappointing when we finally get to our rooms on the other side of all facilities and the furtherest from the elevator. It's as if they do it to spite you. I had also had 2 previous phone conversations a day or 2 before checking in, emphasizing the importance of having rooms close to everything. Needless to say by the time we left, I was on huge painkillers I then had to travel home to Toronto, Canada via 3 separate flights and 30 + hours later I am home and in a lot of pain. (Travelling business class most of the way was a blessing.) The housekeeping staff were wonderful, the room service staff were friendly. The breakfast was adequate although they charge for coffees. My daughter, SIL granddaughter and I stayed here as they were moving house. I looked after my granddaughter all day helping a little with errands etc.
Great for a break ”
Amazing! The room was wonderful. The pool was one of the best i have seen at a resort or hotel and our 4yr old absolutely loved it. Breakfast was excellent. Short walk to a beautiful beach and plenty of great restuarants close by. Not much else within walking distance which made it perfect for a relaxing break.
This was our first holiday with our 8week old baby”
Great !! We got a good deal / price for our stay...i dont think we would pay your full price fees, its very nice but not worth the full amount you charge, our room wasnt that clean, dust all on the floor in our room as repairs of ripping up carpet were being done...food over priced !! But very yummy!!! The pool areas amazing!!!!!!! We will be back & hopefully stay in a room with a plunge pool ! Thanks
