This is a beautiful place with fantastic staff many who are family will definitely be going back one day.
Amazing family run small hotel. No kids! Cannot say enough good things about Nick and the crew.”
The family is amazing- Auntie Nane at the airport (who loves chocolate) and Nick- all the staff. Such an amazing time. Will stay here again in 6 months without hesitation. So appreciative for this space being available.
Family runned business with great accomodation and service. Dinner events are a bit steep in terms of price/value
We loved the amazing view and the space of our one bedroom beachfront bungalow! Also breakfast was great. The entire complex is nice and quiet. And one of the hosts Toloa is super friendly and so willing to assist with every need. Thr last night we stayed at the garden studio and the bathrooms of the studios have been renovated recently. They are AMAZING!
Lovely position with fantastic swimming in the lagoon steps away from the accomodation ”
On arrival, although I showed them our voucher for à Beachfront cottage they gave us some poor excuses that " the person who look after their website made a mistake and that we paid for a garden cottage, not à Beachfront 😖I insisted that their mistake on their description on their website was their problem, and that they should honnir our Agoda voucher which clearly stated "" Beachfront cottage". Our suitcases remained in the garden for a couple of hours until the reception cleared up the " botch up", in the meantime we had lunch at the restaurant and I decided to put our cases in one of the 3 vacant Beachfront bungalows ( which are lovely). Finally, another reception staff came to see us with this answer " we could have à Beachfront bangalow, but it would cost us an additional $170 per night"....... no need to say that I bluntly disagreed with this outrage, by telling her we would stay in that bangalow and that they will simply honnir our voucher.... We really enjoyed our stay in our Beachfront bangalow, no lire problem 👍
Highly recommended ”
The staff and especially the manager of the hotel Nick were fantastic. Restaurant 5 stars!!!
A little tired but still comfortable”
We traveled with another couple, and our rooms were at the back of the property and located next to sewerage vents which we could smell at all times. Guests had to walk around the private property which was located in the middle between the two halves of the Tamanu Beach Resort.
Beautiful beach! Rooms were a bit rustic for price”
This hotel was expensive for the quality of the rooms.
Friendly staff, but in general low value for money”
The stay was quite nice, staff was really friendly and helpful. Although in general I would say that the value for money is very low. There are some certain things which dont't match the price of the hotel (~300 US per night in mid July), for example 1. Breakfast - extremely poor. In the hotel rate included only toasts, cheese, muesli and fruit. Additional dishes are available, but for additional price. 2. Internet is not included in the room rate. The speed is very slow. 3. Room equipment and furniture is old, some of it is broken. 4. Rent bicycles are badly maintained (besides the fact that they are also old and covered with rust)- during my trip around the island the bicycle broke and it took me half an hour to fix it on the road 5. Chickens walking all over the territory, making the territory of the hotel look like a village etc. Of course nothing exceptional, which one can't see in other hotels, but personally for me it is really unexpected for such price range
A little fine tuning”
It falls short of a 4 star hotel in my opinion. The bed quality was 2 star. TV's only in the one BR units. The hotel property is actually two different properties close to each other with about 3 houses in between. The houses in between and around the hotel let their chickens run loose. I had one eat off the plate on my balcony table when I turned by back. The roosters start crowing at 5:15 am and don't stop until 7:00 and they are right outside your room. On the plus side, the beach and location is excellent and the staff were very friendly.
good deal for Aitutaki”
good deal on the island, pick up was included from the airport and hotel staff was helpful in all our needs. beach is nice, hotel is good and comfortable with big houses.
Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend”
We spent 5 nights and wished we had longer. We loved our garden studio and the pool area. Splendid views, no roosters (well we didn't hear them, but others did) and plenty of evening entertainment finding crabs. The studios are set up in such a way that it is easy to have your privacy. Our studio was well equipped for self catering and jugs of ready to drink water were provided. We loved sitting outside on our deck at night and appreciated the mosquito coils which were provided. The hammock on the deck was a relaxing bonus. It was a short walk via the beach to the restaurant and reception areas. The staff were always helpful and the food was enjoyable at the BBQ night and Island Night with a variety of local and more western dishes. The snorkelling was pretty good right out from the resort. Bicycles made it easy to ride along the primarliy flat road to the shop. This system could maybe be a bit better if you could hire the bikes for a shorter period, instead of having to get them for a half day.
Oustanding hospitality and service”
We could not fault the service. It started with the unexpected meeting at the airport and free transfers to the hotel. Breakfast was provided for two mornings even though we were only booked for one night. The beach is very good and the free canoes were a great way to relax. Rooms were excelellent - well presented and spacious.
Great location and but just needed a radio ”
we enjoyed our stay and would recommend that you take an ipod or something so you have music in your room. self contained kitchen so you can cook if you like. fantastic sunsets from the balcony, just lay in your hammock and watch the sunset. the beach is beautiful and also a swimming pool. the fire show and buffet was excellent and good value for the price. need a bike or car to get around but other hotels will pick you up for meals. staff helpful and friendly. total relaxation, no phones or tv in our room.
friendly service, beautiful beach out the front”
the snorkels at the hotel, are crappy. the rooms are not too bad, they have everything you need, nothing luxurious or 5 star but you get what you pay for! the restaurant's food is nto tht great and overprices - $18 for a club sandwhich which only had a thin slice of ham, a slice of lettuce and a slice of cheese. all the staff are friendly and helpful!
magical and awesome views ”
what a wonderful place- trully magical in many ways-great location, breathtaking views, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms, great island fire night and traditional food, tranquil setting, fresh coconut and tropical fruits every morning-yummo, outside day bed-trully relaxing and well positioned for views, professionally and family run resort. we were 2 single females and felt safe, welcomed and could enjoy activities and/or quiet nd relaxing activities. Highly recommend to all especially because of the authenicity and realness of the place- what a great way to support the locals. A true treasure in paradise.
Tolle Lage, einfache Zimmer”
