This was our second trip to the Ubud area, after a 20-year gap, and we had been warned that Ubud has become much more commercial and touristy. We were somewhat apprehensive as Dewa, the excellent young driver who picked us up at the airport, turned from a busy road into the driveway down to the hotel. There was no need to worry, as, once arrived at the reception area, one is in a quiet paradise. The staff is uniformly friendly and efficient. We especially appreciated Taum, who manages the excellent restaurant. Our room, with its own plunge pool, was extremely comfortable and good value at $210/night including the copious breakfast. The call to prayer at 5:45 a.m. from a mosque on the other side of the ravine wasn't a big problem. Otherwise there is complete tranquility. Once on the cruise ship, we stopped for a day in Celukan Bawang in northwest Bali. We would recommend pairing a visit to the Tejaprana Resort with a stay somewhere in the northwest which is the "real" Bali.

I almost cried when we left!”
The Tejaprana was AMAZING!!! We stayed there for 9 nights and it was so difficult to leave. It's a beautiful medium sized resort, fairly new (only a few years old), beautiful modern/Indonesian decor and very clean. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa and it was huge -- two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and our own pool. In the US, it would have probably cost over $1,000 a night and we paid about $400 (in the high season). If you stay in a one-bedroom villa, it will be a bit cheaper. The restaurant was incredible (we ate a majority of our meals there). There was a complimentary breakfast every morning (you can order anything off the menu you want -- I highly recommend the ricotta pancakes and the watermelon juice). The staff were all amazing -- so friendly, so helpful, and there was genuinely so much heart in everything they did. We went to a couple of other resorts for meals and we felt like there was a big difference from the Tejaprana staff (not as warm at the others).

We reserved two Terrace Villas for four nights in December.. The entrance to the resort is hidden along the roads and identifiable by a small sign. Once we entered, it felt like we were in a different world. It was tranquil. We were welcomed by exceptionally friendly staff, and it stayed that whole throughout our stay. The rooms were clean and pool in our rooms were great for the kids - we loved the tub next to the pool as well where we could dip into warm water after a cool swim. The larger pool right next to the restaurant was convenient for us as the kids swam and we enjoyed our drinks by the poolside. There was free afternoon tea with light snacks everyday. The food is local but I think it was cooked slightly milder for the foreign tourists to enjoy. We also had a couple of days of relaxing massage and our kids enjoyed the daily bedtime stories sent to our rooms. Most importantly, we wish to thank all staff in Tejaprana Resort & Spa for their exceptional hospitality.

Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience!”
Our stay has been nothing short of amazing from the very start. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out all was exceptional. The resort is located in the Jungle of Ubud with amazing views. Our villa was breathtaking and really set the tone for an amazing honeymoon experience in Bali. The staff were so kind and attentive. You can tell that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay with them and for us to have an overall pleasant experience. When we checked in we were welcomed with fresh drinks which we very much appreciate after a long flight. After that we were escorted to our villa in which we were given a detailed tour of the of it and the hotel itself explaining everything. A very nice touch as usually hotels only give you your room card and send you on your way but not this one. The breakfast at Tejaprana was outstanding. Rather than the usual buffet styles that you find at other hotels you get a 5 star dining experience with all you can eat too. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment at Tejaprana Hotel and spa. We would like to thank everyone at Tejaprana Hotel and Spa for an unforgettable experience.

An awesome resort capturing the real essence of Ubud and balinese culture”
If I can add something to what many already said about this awesome resort, is that the Tejaprana and its staff succeed in providing not just a highest quality stay experience, but also the chance of living in total harmony with the unique Ubud surroundings, through the hotel's perfect integration in the natural environment, the overall atmosphere, the breathtaking design of the villas, the attention to any detail concerning the architecture and the decor of the common spaces as well as of the villas themselves and the service offered. It's something difficult to explain by words yet easy to perceive since when you arrive in the beautifully decorated reception. It's not just a matter of luxury (which can be found in many hotels around the world), is more a perfect balance between what could be done to satisfy the guests' expectations and what can be offered to respect and enhance the awesome surrounding environment and the essence of local culture. Highly recommended, to say the least.

we super enjoyed the room, view and amenities. will recommend it for couples who are going for their honeymoon too. we stayed there for three days two nights and it's super worth it. their Free breakfast are good and tasty! wifi is fast. the Valley view is so serene. we loved the services provided. and the room is very clean they changed and cleaned our bed too. they also have free shuttle going to Ubud Center. thank you for the wonderful experience!

Amazing pool villa”
I’ve been fortunate to have stayed in many 5-star hotels across the world and I can tell you that even though this ain’t a 5-star Resort, the Staff here are the frendliest and most genuine. The pool villa is amazing value, and the location , the view, the facilities here are really nice. The only problem you’d face is something that’s universal in Ubud- the mosquitoes and all sorts of bugs. But i expected that and prepared in advance such as by remembering to keep the doors shut, carrying anti-mosquito sprays so it was fine. I cannot blame it on the hotel as you’ll face this in every resort in Ubud. For the experience I had, I give it full 10stars. Will definitely come back. Thanks to the amazing staff. Note to owners: if you’re reading this, kudos to hiring amazing people. Try to hold on to them for as long as possible.

Breathtakingly beautiful resort. ”
We stayed in room 107 which had a plunge pool and undisturbed view of the forest (no villas in front of us), which was breathtaking. Only con was that clean service didn't clean our room properly on day 2 & 3, however when we notified reception they sent someone to rectify this. Resort is tops in terms of beauty, peacefulness.

We stayed at Tejaprana for 5 nights for a wedding anniversary trip. The resort exceeded our expectations. The ambience is excellent with lush gardens and wonderful architecture. The valley view villa is very private, comfortably appointed and with scenic views. The food at the restaurant was very good and the staff were accommodating regarding dietary requirements. Service was excellent, every member of staff we dealt with was a credit to the resort. The location as others have stated is a drive out of Ubud. This is not a bad thing if you are looking for a truly peaceful, romantic resort based holiday. Be aware the drive from the airport to the resort is 2 hours as the traffic in Bali is very heavy. Tejaprana is a beautiful boutique resort well suited to those seeking privacy, understated luxury, romance and tranquility in Ubud.

Beautiful, immaculate details, perfection”
The most beautiful hotel I've stayed at. Every detail has been done to perfection, even the napkins (little damp towels) are lightly scented in a delicate way. Everything at breakfast has that little extra touch, the staff genuine and warm, rooms are so nice it's hard to leave. We stayed two nice and came only halfway down our list of things to see because we just had to stay and enjoy the amenities. Thank you, Tejaprana

Excellent service! Enjoyed this pretty hotel and loved our jungle facing room with the outdoor tub (which we used every day) and small pool. A perfect way to spend our wedding anniversary. The breakfast is huge and delicious and we enjoyed the free afternoon tea service. lovely pool and a great location for touring the countryside and Ubud.

The resort gardens and views were stunning. We stayed in a Valley View room and had unbroken views of the jungle. We really enjoyed the spa and treatments. The food was delicious. Staff were exceptional and so friendly. 15mins by shuttle bus into Ubud town so it is a peaceful location.

Stayed at The Tejaprana Resort and Spa for three nights in the Terrace Villa. The villa is A-MA-ZING! 😍 It is by far the most beautiful room I have ever stayed in. The pictures from different websites, do not do this villa justice. All of the staff at the Tejaprana were very friendly and attentive, and nothing ever felt “forced” or “too much”, like it sometimes can. It felt like they genuinely cared. The service was also extremely good. On my last day I was checking out at 6 o’clock in the morning, and they brought my breakfast to the room at 5, two hours before the restaurant opened. Not just a to-go breakfast, but everything from omelette to fruit and muesli - at no extra charge! Would I recommend this resort to my friends and family? Most definitely! Just go, you will not be disappointed 😉

Great place for romantic getaway~”
My husband and I booked 2 nights with Tejaprana. Our room with 1 private swimming pool was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly. We enjoyed the shuttle the resort provided, although the timings are quite limited. I would definitely recommend this place to any couple or family looking for a getaway!

Amazing value, friendly staff, clean & great food”
We started our honeymoon trip in Bali at Tejaprana. Wow! What an amazing hotel! We loved everything — from our super clean room to the welcoming staff to the tasty included breakfast, we really enjoyed our stay. We even enjoyed the spa a little bit! The hotel is a tad far from downtown, but we just ended up taking cabs or riding the complimentary shuttle. Not a big deal and worth the trek!

Amazing Hotel”
This hotel was amazing, very relaxing, clean and Vila was beautiful. We had our own pool, and outdoor stone bath tub. Very private. The restaurant was lovely and the outlook to the jungle was beautiful. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. The only drawback is the distance from Ubud, but you can get a taxi from the hotel. I would have no hesitation in recommending this resort. I will definitely be returning.

Great place with great facilities. We had the valley view pool villa and we enjoyed it during our honeymoon stay. The staff was so helpful and kind. Great pool as well; however the water was a bit too cold.
