A Heck of a Deal”
Wonderful staff, cool area, within walking distance to a few restaurants and bars across the street, and even Little Paradise beach bar right next door that has some rockin food and nice owner. The pool at Thai Tan Tien was very clean and a great size. Staff was friendly. There was some issue with my booking when I arrived, so they put me in an upgraded bungalow for my first of 3 night stays. That was nice. They also went out to get some beers that I prefer but they did not have in their cooler. Really nice. The only caveat is the breakfast. The term 'Free Breakfast' is pushing it, as they only provided either 2 eggs and bread, or noodle soup, which was ramien, and a couple small pieces of fruit. The beach area could also have used a little cleaning. I gave this place a 5 star overall, because the value for the money I paid was great and the staff is very nice and helpful.

One of best places on Long Beach.”
You have a beach and also a swimming pool. They've a restaurant on the beach and the prices there are reasonable. Accomodation is in good standard and I think it would be very hard to find something with beach with similar standard and price. We stayed there about 12 days with small children and it was good choice. Better than take transport to the beach everyday. Staff is helpfull and they did for us much more than they had to do.

Nice little bungalow resort with easy access to small chilled out beach area. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean and the resort itself is relatively quiet, if you discount the construction going on right alongside it!! The noise from the construction was not really an issue for us as we were in a bungalow set back from the front, but it was there all day every day. It's a shame to see a multi-storey hotel going up in this area of low-level beachfront resorts and it will no doubt have a significant impact on the beach experience once completed and occupied. The pool is a good size and well maintained. Would have used it more often if there had been comfortable sun loungers (ie, with cushions)and more of them. The current setup was not so inviting. The included breakfast at the beachfront restaurant was good value and the food in general okay. Let down by pretty apathetic service though. The beach vendors got good business as a result.

pro: friendly staff, they clean the swimming for us to place, room is spacious for family. breakfast is nice (with menu), tv, kettle, (bring own coffee or tea), fridge. air cond is cold and silent. hot water in shower room. con: room is smelly, look like to long no one use it. try to get deluxe room (new type of room), too humid, floor always wet. they didnt clean the pool before we arrive. restaurant at the beach quit expensive for lunch n dinner. try the restaurant outside. staff cant speak english, need to use translste tool to communicate with them.

This resort is right on the beach. The hammock in front of the seaview room was lovely.. They had palapas and lounge chairs right on the beach. Their restaurant served some of the best red snapper BBQ i have ever had. Definitely order some fish here! The staff was hit or miss. The man who worked at reception was very friendly and helpful. Some of the restaurant staff were friendly, others were a bit abrasive. I do think they were very overpriced for what you got though. I understand it was high season but I do feel like I overpaid for what I got. that was dissapointing. I think $20 a night is fair. any more than that is too high.

Staff in restaurant look like they don't want to work, and try to sell you fish at an absurd price. Bed was horrible, matrass made of 'eggshelfoam'. Only cold water. Just 2 or 3 doors away from this place you get way better value for the money. it was at the beach which was great.

We enjoyed this place so much that we went back to the island and stayed here for a few more days. Family run hotel right on the beach. Nice huge pool. Staff is friendly and got us scooters right there making it easy. Did laundry for reasonable price. Cabanas r great. Breakfast is good.

It's a good place for someone who likes to enjoy the sea and beach, and the staff are so friendly. However, don't expect too much for the room and breakfast, I am totally fine with it, cause the price is really reasonable.

poor cleaning in rooms, mould in bathroom, dust in furniture, fridge stinking, restaurant is cheaper but they give you small portions. spiders and lizards in the room.

Really good located with access to the beach. The food in the restaurant is good and also cheap or tou can find more restaurants at the main street. The breakfast was included you can choose at the menu with good variety. On the beach you can find people who sell fresh fruit and it's cheap, also umbrella, beach chairs and towels are included. You can hire a motorbike and go to the night market and other turistics places. They can provide tranfer service if you talk with them. The room is big enough actualy it's a bungalow with air conditioning, fridge and mosquito net. I strongly recommend this place.

Great potential thrown to the bin”
Perfect location but mediocre bungalows. Cleanliness is not a strength, breakfast was so bad that we didn't have it the second day even if included. Wifi did not work in the room and we did not have hot nor warm water the first day. It is a shame to see a place with such potential not being taken care of.

Lovely and beautiful place”
I really recommend this place to those who don't expect five star facilities but want welcoming, peaceful and authentic place to stay. Excellent and cheap food in the restaurant. Barbecue every evening. Nice and more quiet beach than in north side of Long Beach.

Good location but rooms and staff let it down”
We had the beachfront bungalows which are closest to the crossing to the beach. They were great and definitely recommend these. However, the staff were predominately very rude (there was one really nice waiter) and the rooms are very rundown (mould around bathroom, cockroaches plentiful and tree roots growing in the bathroom). If the staff were friendlier and put some money into room upkeep this would be great! For instance, a dog gave one of us a nip on the ankle and the staff didn't even care! In addition, there was minimal attempt to keep the beach clear of litter unlike other hotels we saw along the beach which was very disappointing.
