Great location”
The building is just beside the Yau Ma Tei MTR station. It is also walking distance from the A21 bus stop going to and from the airport. There are lots of restaurants in the first floor of the building (love the Roast Goose Restaurant in the 1st floor), and around the area. Grocery stores (like Wellcome) and 7-11 are nearby. The building elevator (there are 3) is small but not crowded so it’s easy to go up and down. The building is quiet. The room is small (typical in Hong Kong) but clean and cozy. Towels (changed daily), toilet paper (supplied daily), toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, liquid bath soap, bathroom slippers, drinking cups, and electric kettle/water heater are provided. Shower has hot/cold options. I just have difficulty in using the sink because it is too narrow. I cannot brush my teeth and wash my face properly in the sink without wetting my feet and bumping my head on the over the head sink. I think it’s better if a vertical shelf is placed on the right side for toiletries to avoid this problem. There was also one time that the door of the main lock was not working properly and it was already late at night when we arrived, but the manager was easy to contact and she was there within 10 minutes to fix it. Manager is friendly and very easy to contact even if it’s already late. She’s responsive to queries and friendly. We were able to check in before 2 pm and the room is already ready. Do not forget to contact manager when you arrive so that she can give you the password for the main door and your room (there is no concierge).

My husband and friends truly loved this place! Literally few steps away from Yau Ma Tei MTR station, accessible to bus stops and food district, this inn is a gem! We appreciated that the staff supplied fresh towels everyday and for throwing out the trash, also the toiletries are provided for each day of our 6 days stay. I highly recommend this place, particularly the family room because it has windows and the room is good enough for 4 people with huge luggages. Although the building may look a little old, Ukkei inn is so clean and feels modern. I would suggest though that the toilet would provide a little more privacy (the doors are with frosted glass only, silhouette of the person using the bath is a showing), and also putting a mirror to the room would have been helpful. But that's all that is there to improve! If i come back to hk, i would definitely pick this place again. Thank you so much, UKKEI INN! You are the best. 🫶🏻

I recently had a great experience staying at a Ukkei Inn that was not only clean and well-maintained but also had a very attentive owner who went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Despite its small size, the hotel was spotlessly clean, which was a refreshing change from some of the other small inns in HK that I've stayed at in the past. What really stood out, however, was that the owner takes personal responsibility for ensuring that the hotel is cleaned daily. This attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness was evident throughout my stay, and made for a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. In addition to the great cleanliness, the owner was also very accommodating when it came to our check-in time. Due to a delayed flight, we didn't arrive at the hotel until 9 PM, but the owner was understanding and made sure that we were able to check in. Plus the owner speaks and understand english well. Also, the location of the inn was great, just 8 steps away from the MTR at Yau Ma Tei. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained, and comfortable place to stay in Hong Kong. The owner's commitment to cleanliness and accommodating nature really made for a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Small but very cozy”
1. Location- it’s super near the trainstation like just seconds from the building. It’s also near the bus station for the airport transfer which is very convenient. It’s also near to some of delicious restaurants and also for shopping! I would definitely recommend this for the location! 2. Cleanliness - When we got there the building looked a little sketchy and also the hallway but when you arrive on the floor it looks nice. The room is clean and it gets cleaned everyday. I think it’s just a little dusty cause I had a bit of an allergy but other than that super clean! 3. Size of the room- it is definitely smaller than usual but I think it’s normal in HK? The bathroom is quite small as well like my friends had a hard time taking a bath but other than that that’s just the bad part of it Other notes: Super comfortable bed!! Especially when you get home from traveling and walking, it’s just the perfect day to end the day! Again would recommend to budget friendly people out there :)

Staff was very responsive! You can request for anything just add them up on social media ( line we chat etc.). The place is at the center of everything! Youbcan go anywhere! The train station is just beside the building, bus stop is also nearby. Some say the lift is old but for me it still works. The rooms are clean and cozy! Got a good 8hrs of sleep! I would totally recommend booking here.
