Great value, especially for solo travelers.”
Checked in here, wasn't expecting much, since I paid a pretty cheap price compared to other hostels. I was surprised by the quality of the facilities; the toilets were clean and even had seat warmers, the showers had convenient dividers to keep clothes and towels dry while bathing. The sleeping cubicle was a bit small, so if you have luggage, it might be pretty tight. I only had a backpack so the space was just enough for me. It's also perfect if you prefer to have more privacy compared to sleeping in a bunk bed, since each cubicle is only for one person. Safety-wise, I'd say the place is pretty well-secured, as female cabins are separated with an electric door that can only be opened by a keycard. Sleeping cubicles also require your specific keycard for access. The people at the front desk are also quite helpful and polite. Location-wise, it's just around 3 minutes away from the MRT, so it's perfect for those who wish to make the most of Taipei. When I go back to Taipei, I'll definitely be staying in NEOSOHO again.
Not for late Check-ins but still great!”
Disadvantage: Not 24hrs Check-in I wasn't able to check-in during the midnight. there was no staff at all because they don't have 24hrs check-in but allowing guests to book even though they will arrive late. Kept on pressing the doorbell but no one was there. Luckily, there were two ladies to help me to get in but no one is there to give me my key card and room so I slept in the chairs of the lobby of the hotel for the mean time and was able to get my own capsule around 8am though I paid for 24hrs of stay. Also noted that I'm gonna arrive late. So if you're going to arrive late, this isn't the go to hotel because no one would be there to receive you. I checked-out late (extended 2hrs) to compensate the time I missed for getting my own key card but still not fair I guess. Though the staff named Sunny apologised. What can be improved: Do not let people book if they will arrive beyond your check-in hours to avoid misunderstanding else, send them an email if you can't receive them. When it comes to value for money, this place is the best. Their comfy and soft blanket would keep you warm. Location is also near to Taipei Main Station. If you will be coming from TMS, taxi drivers won't take you to Neosoho because it's just near. head towards the high way, turn right and when you see the block where H&M is, cross towards the store. walk straight. You'll find the hotel after two blocks. it's near starbucks and the destination would be on your right. Cleanliness: Very clean. nothing to complain. Facilities: Nothing much to do just to watch tv and access wifi. They have free coffee and tea also.
It's near taipei main station. Take exit 5 and accross the street you will see h&m store. Straight ahead and you will see starbucks and you will see Neosoho Cabin beside it. I have no expectation since its my first time to try cabin room out of curiosity and save money. I stronly suggest to solo travellers. Better than staying in a dorm type room with people you don't know. In a cabin room, you have your own space, though it's small. You have your own key card. A sofa that will serve as bed and a small table with lamp, security deposit box and extension cord.(no need to worrg if you have several gadgets). There's common cr and shower room and it's clean. No need to worrg about long que. there's no waiting time coz there's more than enough. It's clean and you will be given toiletries as well. Receptionist is very accommodating. There's a common area where u can relax. You can leave your things if you check in or check out early. Only downside would be noisy occupants.
Super convenient for overnight stay”
I needed a place near Taipei Main Station to spend a night between an evening party in town and a HSR ride to Chiayi the next day, and NeoSoho turned out to be a great place to stay. The single booth with a sofa cum bed and a desk is nice enough, although it is not totally separated from the neighboring booths (the partition is less than 2m high and leaves much space btw its top and the ceiling). Nice lobby and common room, free flow of coffee and tea. The toilet needs to be cleaned more often though (lack of staff?).
Can't be more satisfied. ”
This is the first time I have been so much satisfied like this. We are a group of 3 boys and 3 girls. At fist, because there were only 3 beds in mixed room, and 3 beds in girl room on the Agoda booking system, so we had to be separated. However, I decided to call the NEOSOHO Cabin and asked if they could arrange us to stay together in 1 room. And yeah! My requirement was quickly accepted. We had the best hotel ever. I mean EVER. The location was awesome, the cleanliness was of high standard, the staff was friendly and helpful, the facilities were well-equipped. They deserve 5 stars for this service. Highly recommended.
You made my travel fantastic:) ”
Hello Neosoho :) i visited here alone last week i stayed totall 4nights and it was wonderful at first i had some trouble with using an Easy card. but staffs tried to help me and it worked out. i really appreciated it. and i also liked my room(a capsule room) it is enough to stay alone, and quiet. and bathroom is also great and clean. i loved the air-conditioning system. very cool hahah some people usually made some noise but it was not that bad i love this hostel, and because of this i want to go again Taipei:)
Clean, cheap, and convenient”
NEOSOHO was just by the Shinkong Mitsukoshi exit of Taipei station, so it was very convenient to take the metro. The cubicles were not fully enclosed, so you could hear the other travelers in your section; that, however, was easily fixed with some earplugs. All in all, would definitely rent again.
Location & price make tiny rooms worth it overall, but don’t expect luxury!”
Pros: - The location near Taipei Main Station in a bustling district is amazing. You can walk to many sights or easily catch a bus or MRT. - The price is the cheapest I’ve seen in Taipei. - The common areas are pretty good and people tend to hang out in them (though not really socialize). - The WiFi is decent. Cons: - Your room will be tiny, office cubicles-turned-rooms. Even for a couple it was tight, and if you’re booking as a single, you’ll share a SMALL space with a stranger. - It can be loud. You’ll hear everything anyone does, from coughing to getting text messages to packing their bags at 4 A.M. Bring earplugs! - Ladies, the bathrooms are rough. The floor is usually wet from people splashing their faces with water in the morning, if you take showers at the end of the day the drains are usually clogged with hair by then (in fact, there’s usually just hair all over the floor and sinks and drains), the toilet seats are broken, and the stalls themselves smell acrid.
Value for Money. Make sure you check on the Latest Reviews”
Private Cabin I was given an upgrade to Private Cabin. You'll have all the privacy (individual space with key card) but at the same time, you'll hear what's going on in the whole room (People going in and out, packing and unpacking, from as late as 3am, to as early as 6am) Facilities Washing machine and dryer are not free, it's TWD30 each time for each machine. They provide free detergent. They also have safety deposit boxes in the private cabin. Towel, sleeping mask, ear plugs and slippers are provided (free). Freebies If you're looking forward to have free instant noodles and snacks, let me tell you this... They no longer provide free instant noodles and snacks. I was disappointed too. They do provide coffee and tea if I'm not wrong, and I saw biscuits on the reception counter. Location The location is good. Several shopping malls nearby and you can walk to Taipei Station and even Ximending (600m from Animate Taipei). Lots of good food around (some small traditional shops might surprise you!) There's a Family Mart and Sukiya nearby too. Washroom Generally, the washroom is clean. Don't expect much from the japanese auto toilet because the washlet is not working (I tried 3 out of 4) but there's also a pipe and hose in the toilet. While for bathroom, it wasn't that clean, and some part is kinda rundown. The water can be too hot at one time, and too cold at another although i did not adjust the temperature. Cleaning I saw them cleaning the rooms in the afternoon so don't worry they won't reuse the same set of blanket and towels for the next guest.
Best Value for Money.”
We have saved a lot in our atay in Neosoho. Apart from the affordable rooms, the location is perfect! Touristy sites are near and Main station is just a block away. Loved our stay in Neosoho.
The capsule room was just enough for 2 people. The bed was comfortable. The location is nearby the Taipei Main Station MRT. The staffs are cool and considerate because they help use store baggage when we check out early to roam around the city. Will come back. Thanks
Fuss-free accommodation with the best location EVER. ”
Being a solo traveler, it was easy getting around Taipei. NEOSOHO Cabin made my experience even better. Directions were pretty easy to follow. It is along the same street as H&M and the Watsons store. The famous Tiger Sugar Milk Tea was also a stone's throw away from NEOSOHO. I kinda regretted moving out when I decided to stay at a slightly more posh hotel, yet far away from all the convenience! Would recommend NEOSOHO any time.
I booked a room for 2 because I like more space and they let me have the room with bigger bed than doubledecker. I usually stayed out though. It's very accessible but if you want to save time finding the place, follow the directions for M5 Exit then go down to Station Front Mall, exit out on Z2 then you'll see H&M shop, walk towards it then turn left, walk for 1 to 3 minutes and you'll be in Neosoho Hotel.
Good for solo budget travelers”
Location is perfect, walking distance to Taipei Main Station (about 2-3 minutes if using the underground entrance Z4), 2 minutes from National Taiwan Museum and the 223 Peace Park. All other landmarks and tourists attractions are easily accessible via trains and buses.
Good value for money”
Its location is the best I have had for staying in Taipei so far. Its price is the cheapest also and that is why you should not expect all of its conditions to be excellent; its lowest quality was cleanliness as it was just OK, not good. As the cheapest room was full on the first day of my four-day stay, I booked separately for another type of room that the price was more than double of the cheapest room, but in the end I was allocated the same type of room. Moreover, it was annoying that a young Taiwanese who had occupied the lower bunk bed in the room I was allocated didn't want to share that room with me. When he found that I was allocated there, he became furious and demanded the hotel staff to move me to another room. I think for peace, hotel staff surrendered to him and I was evicted to another room which the existing occupier had no problem. I didn't want to fight but this was tragic as there could be big argument or even a fight.
Better than expected, great vibe.”
Me and my friend loved staying at NEOSOHO. We got a double room. I was hesitant booking a place here since I didn't know how I felt about the "cubicle" style of dorming/hostel, but I loved it! We got a good amount of privacy since there are walls and a door around the double bed. You can hear other people's conversations and things since the "ceiling" of your bed cubicle is open, but that's to be expected. I really enjoyed all of the amenities this place had to offer. They had multiple hair dryers in the bathroom, shampoo, shower gel, hair straightener, laundry room, kitchen with toaster oven and microwave, free water, and luggage storage.
The room does not have a real bed but akin to a small sofa so if you're tall and bigger in size, it is advisable not to stay here. The cabin is not fully enclosed so technically it is an open space with many rooms- the noise may be a problem (but it was okay during my one night stay at Neosoho, nevertheless I did not return after traveling back to Taipei). Toilets and bathrooms are clean.
It was a good experience. I got the value of my money.”
I like that it has a wifi. I like the shower. I like the staff who catered to us. He was kind and friendly. He gave us discount! The comfort rooms bidet was only good after a day. The next days it didn't work anymore. I don't know if they turned it off or what other than that my stay was good. I will definitely book there again if I visit Taipei again. The place is so convenient! Very accessible! Thank you Neosoho!
Average and good for one day stay only”
Neosoho feedback Rate 6 Pros -Near MRT easy to find if you have good eyesight. Cons.... -Agoda Map picture uploaded is misleading. It should be "Starbucks and NEOSOHO are in one location" -hand and toilet sanitizer at the WC is broken. -Toilet not well maintained, garbage bin always full, floor not clean, smells aweful early morning and no cleaning personnel around. -no AC control. Avoid cabin at the center. You'll get colds. -broken Coffee Machine.
The Best Value for Money Hotel”
Even though there are places to be improved to make it better, but Neosoho Cabin is the best value for money facility I have ever stayed. Excellent!
