Better one in that area Quite clean and new: seems like recently remodeled. AC capacity was great during the heat of July. Buffet style breakfast price was reasonable, and restaurant's lunch menu was good also. Night reception staff were great: kind, friendly, knowledgeable, english-speaking, and professional. Helped out greatly solving the confusion of my reservation, so I won't have a problem when checking out. According to colleagues staying at the vicinity, higher-priced hotel, it seemed that New hotel was better in all aspects. Greatly recommended!

EXCELLENT HOTEL ”

New Hotel of Marseille is a quite excellent hotel for business trip as well as for leisure; Rooms are large and very convenient. Hotel is at 10 min walk from downtown city and 10 min walk from beaches. Swimming pool stays open 24 hours per day and the restaurant offers affordable dishes in a pleasant place

Generally a nice hotel”

Slightly overpriced modern hotel. It's saving grace is its friendly staff and sunbathing area alongside the hotel pool. I've stayed here three times and it's been better than the previous hotels I've stayed in around the city. It's a 20 mins max walk to the centre of the harbour and the hubbub of eateries and bars. The poolside rooms are cooler in peak summer. The Aircon is generally very good at keeping the rooms cool. Have had issues with room bills not being right on checkout, but that's mainly because the cleaners hadn't restocked the minibar correctly and they tried to Bill me. Nothing the desk clerks didn't put right, but it does make you feel uneasy checking out. I would recommend this hotel to young couples and trendy middle aged couples with no mobility issues.

It was a good weekend, some small points could be improved, like having no towels for the swimming pool end of the afternoon, no toothbrush in the room and a slow service by night at the bar. Even that, it was a good time in your hotel. Thank you

I've been there for 3 nights mid of September, 2019. Within 24 hours they have stolen 200 Euros from the locked room safe. The management didn't talk to me so I went to the police station and reimbursed criminal charges. Unbelievable. I have not heard from the hotel to this day. When I arrived, the lamp didn't work and the showerhead in the bathroom felt down, you couldn't fix it. The door was rotted (room no. 315) and the fridge was completely dirty. I complained about that and they tried hard. My room was on the pool side. Every Thursday they have a big party at the terrace with loud music until midnight. They didn't turn down the music... And - other guests already complained - it's disgusting to have breakfast there because lots of pigeons fly on the tables or run at the ground. But just in front of the hotel you'll find the Novotel, and there is a very delicious breakfast with a great view at the old port for the same price! Without pigeons and a very noisy street...

Great location and hotel setting, wifi needs updating but overall excellent value for money.

The hotel was very nice and easy to find. Only issue is its not centrally located, if you don't mind walking 15 -20 minutes to restaurants, or bars, or sightseeing.
