Inside the walls
This is a decent and not very expensive hotel inside the walls. Convenient location and very friendly staff. However, if you get a room towards the street behind it is very noisy both late at night and early in the morning. Earplugs recommended.

Where time stands still!
It's really THE perfect location within the city fabric of Jerusalem. Right within the city walls, where taxis still can enter through Jaffa Gate. Sitting next to the citadel, where most sight-seeing-tours start. At the beginning of bazar-like King David Street, and only a few minutes away from public transport into the new districts. Helpful staff in a historic building - and one can see/feel that. It is clean, but old. Plush and plunder everywhere in the hallways - but honestly charming. Down-to-earth breakfast is nice, but not overwhelming. Bathroom needs getting used to. It is certainly not the right hotel for couples used to an upper international standard, but it might be just the perfect place for people that are looking for the extraordinary. PS. Unmarried couples welcome, alcohol allowed, both not 'customary' in the old town.

The Old City
The location was excellent. The staff was very nice, especially the older gentleman. The recommendation for Nofura (nearby restaurant next to the wall) was excellent. Don't miss the night show at King David's Tower. The hot water in the shower was tempermental, it was either very hot, or very cold.

Convenient location
Convenient location, helpful staff, extensive breakfast
The New Imperial Hotel is located within the city walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. It is close to the tourist information office and to the Jaffa Gate. The front door is very secure and reception is on the second floor. The room was a little small but fine for a night or two especially for a solo traveler. There were two twin beds, a mini-fridge, TV, AC (that, according to a sign in the room, would only work after 6 pm), a floor fan (which was all that was needed during my stay, an ensuite bathroom, and free in-room wifi.

A hotel very fitting to a stay in the holy city
Location is superb, staff is friendly, arabic breakfirst is nice
We much enjoyed our stay. The location immediately at the entrance of the Old City is hard to beat (last not least on Shabbat when moving by public transport is virtually impossible). The hotel is located in a beautiful old house in the Christian Quarter and run by a Christian Arab. We felt that in Jerusalem this made a very fitting atmosphere to stay. The rooms are not luxurious, but we did not stay much in the room anyway. Next to the entrance is a good thought not cheap restaurant.

Nice hotel in the heart of Jerusalem
Good location, Cleanness and Decor
Right at Jaffa Gate, convenient to enjoy the Old City. Many shops and restaurants around. Everything within walking distance. Good breakfast. Room is small but well-organized and clean. The hotel owner is friendly. Good choice for Jerusalem's experience.
