This place is more a 2 stars hotel than a guest house, providing excellent services and great rooms. A.c. and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. They provide free guided tours everyday to get use to the facilities in the hotel area, they help you to organize your trip around Thailand by selling services, tours, tickets.. laundry available, breakfast, lunch, dinner too. 10min walking distance from the BTS Surasak, the touristic boat pier, Silom area or Chinatown. All good for New Road Guesthouse

I have been to New Poad Guesthouse several times in the past 4 years. Perfect base in Bangkok”
New road guesthouse is perfect base in Bangkok close to the skytrain and away from the more tacky areas. Staff are really helpful in arranging onward travel. Rooms are comfortable and it's very good value for Bangkok. I would stay here for all my trips to Bangkok.

Wonderful staff !”
Wonderful location, few minutes walk to the oriental pier, street food, Bangkok bazaar market. Super close to the sky tram, and a 15-20 min walk to the purple line metro station. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Recommend booking the room with ac as it was wonderful to cool down after a long day running around. The staff was helpful & super friendly. Just ask them for advice and they are going to give their honest opinion for what's right for you as a traveler & not try and sell you on a bunch of tours. We will be back !

Vibrant and Welcoming”
I have stayed here many times now because i like the facility and the staff. We have only booked the double bed private rooms. Small rooms but clean, and private, and perfect for those couple nights in Bangkok you need before heading out to the rest of the country. The staff will help you plan all of your trip if you need that much help, too. Breakfast is good but typically an extra cost (160bht) if you don't get it included in your booking.

A comfortable and pleasant hotel!”
I arrived very late after a stressful, delayed flight so I was very grateful to have a stress-free, swift check in. The room was great for the price paid & the hotel and facilities were as I expected, clean and available. I would describe this hotel as 'no frills' but the rooms were still way more comfortable and a lot better than most in Bangkok for that price range! The staff were great and always very helpful. Everything was reasonably priced & effortless.

Great base in Bangkok with helpful staff ”
lobby and public area is nice and clean with sofas to chill, computers to use for small fee, free wifi and a decent restaurant with good prices. on check-in you get a very nice welcome package which includes a map with directions in english and thai to the hotel, some helpful thai phrases to learn and info about restaurants and attractions nearby. the room was quite small but had everything we needed with working aircon and a nice bathroom. it was very clean and overall pleasant. upstairs from the room is a chill-out area on the roof where its nice to lay in the hammocks and read or enjoy a nice view over bangkok. downstairs is a cozy bar and a dvd room which is free to use and has some (10-20) dvds you can borrow. the hotel offers short term and long term luggage storage. the long term storage is offered for up to 3 months and is free of charge(!) which was a blessing for people backpacking around asia. staff at the hotel was very helpful and always smiling, showing genuine interest and care for those staying at the hotel. in the lobby they arrange can arrange trips around thailand.

I spent two days in Bangkok alone and this place made me feel like I was not alone. The staff looks after you and will help with all of your planning. The common area is very modern and comfortable. The rooms are nice and safe. I will stay here everytime I am in Bangkok.

Couldn't ask for a better reception in Bangkok. Awesome staff, very helpful and friendly. The AC we had in our room wasn't working, so they moved us to a different room. In that room, the water wasn't hot. Outside of that, I will be staying there again when we go back to Thailand!

We spent few nights, everything was ok, room was small and without view, but was cheap and clean. Big plus for the service: everyone speaks English and this version of English was real good, there were no problems with communication. We received some hints where to go in Bangkok, some maps, etc.

Good place to stay”
We came back to New Road twice. It is very nice, friendly and clean. Coffee/tea all day is lovely with large area for dining. Breakfast, if you want to buy is huge. Really good. We did not get every day, but it was so good. Staff very nice and helpful. Place is well run and organized. Have to say wifi was not the fastest ever, but totally sufficient. We would stay here again. Thanks!

Clean, generally friendly staff”
Stayed here on 2 separate occasions and both were pleasant. The basic rooms are neat and staff is friendly. Skip the breakfast buffet as its over priced and tastes bad. Every night at 5 there are information sessions about Bangkok and Thailand which adds a nice touch They claim to have wifi but I could never connect even in the main area.

We stayed in a standard air con room...it was very clean, comfortable, spacious, nicely presented and with all the facilities (including fridge, tea and coffee making etc) you need for a few nights in Bangkok - it even had a nice view. Staff were nice and friendly. The location was perfect for us in the Silom area. Would stay again!

Nice stay as allways. We have stayed here several times in connection with our trips to Thailand and Asia and use the hotel as starting and ending point for our trips. Jysk Rejsebureau staff offer very good advice for trips and tours around Asia and Bangkok. The hotel offer free storage of suitcases/bags for up to 3 months. A bit away from the centre if you want to visit Khaosan/Rambuttri roads but they (and other highlights) are easily available by boat during daytime, only 10 minutes walk to pier at Chao Phraya River (boat with orange flag is 14B)

nice guesthouse, good for scandinavians”
stayed one night for transitting to siem reap. the lady owner booked us transport for 900b, which i heard some other hotels would charge, so i am really satisfied with the guesthouse. lots of scandinavians,nice cute ppl close to the lebua skybar btw, havent gone up but def if theres a next time. 5-10 min to bts station

Wonderful Guesthouse”
Very pleasant stay! We had a quite room facing away from the main road. Good and quiet AC, small, but functional tv with many channels. Very close to many bus stops, 10 minute walk from sky train station, 5 minute walk from river boat stop. Very friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Good wi-fi in reception area and lower floors. Clean and comfortable bed, clean bathroom. If you do not expect a 5-star breakfast, you will be really happy with everything.
