We lived in Hong Kong in 1977, TST East didn't exist then. So when we decided to visit again to reminisce our past it was the perfect choice for us and the New World Millennium Hotel is exactly where we wanted to stay. We booked the Deluxe Harbour View and it was fabulous, we arrived about 8pm and walking into the room just blew me away Hong Kong island all lit up & was everything I had expected, and in the morning watching the Harbour come to life was just as amazing. The walk from the Hotel to Star Ferry was a treat along the Harbour front was only 10/15min walk. But best of all was Billy Chan Chief Concierge it was like having our own personal trip planner. Hong Kong has changed so much since 1977, Billy would map us the easiest & fastest route to go where we wanted to go, giving us all the bus numbers to get us there as well. And the night we wanted to go to the Ozone Sky Pub & Restaurant he suggested we take the free bus there & back and to go early to get the best daytime & sunset views that was the Highlight of our holiday thank you so much Billy for all your help & information. All the staff were as you would expect from a hotel of this calibre. There was some renovations going on the hotel and when we booked with Agoda it did explain this but to be honest we went on holiday and were out exploring HK from 9.30am till 4pm so the noise we experienced was hardly any at all, I did read some of the reviews people have posted about the noise but really there's thousands of hotels to choose from in HK, and if you knew there was going to be some noise going on why stay there & complain later???? This hotel, staff, & holiday are now in my top 10 Holidays ever Dawn & Michael Thomas from United Kingdom
It was very comfortable and enjoyable staying ”
We enjoyed staying at Hotel Nikko, staffs were kind and facility was relatively new and well maintained. Location is just a bit off from heart of the city but it's not as far as you think, you can walk to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station for metro (takes about 3 minutes to on foot) and you can always take a cab from hotel to most tourist destinations within basic fee which is 18 HKD. You can show the destination to hotel staff and they will catch the cab and tell the cab driver the destination for you which was very helpful (sometimes cab drivers didn't understand some destinations, especially non-tourist destinations) Overall, it was a great place to start a day and come back to rest after a long day of shopping and sightseeing. I would definately go back to Hotel Nikko for my next trip to Hong Kong
Great experience in New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel. Nice location near Hung Hom and East Tsim Sha Tsui. All kinds of restaurants or shopping malls nearby. Comfortable and fashionable internal decoration. Clean and quiet room.
Hong Kong Gotta love it.”
Very good hotel. Comfortable beds, very clean with two room make overs per day. Walking distance to Tsim Sha Tsui area and close to numerous bars and places to eat. Shuttle bus does a circuit around TST which was very handy. Subject to price or deals on the net I would gladly stay at the Nikko again and will be checking it out for next visit to Hong Kong. The concierge desk needs to get brochures and maps re day trips and tourist attractions.
Don’t look any further…New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel…Got your name! ”
We loved this hotel and wish we could stay longer. We especially loved Mr. Billy Chan and Mr. Raymond Woo. Their professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness, great attitude and their Customer Services are definitely Second to None! Thank you for an amazing stay and we highly recommend New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel to all our friends and family!
Perfect for what I was after.”
Had asked for a quiet room to do work in, the most pleasant check-in staff member allocated me an upgrade at an end of the corridor to a seaview room which was a surprise as the hotel was full for the holiday season. Despite being slightly out of the main Tsim Sha Tsui shopping area I chose to walk which around an easy 10 minutes stroll. Was happy I'd chosen to stay away of the heaving masses. If you are not keen on walking far the regular shuttlebus stopped at several convenient dropoff/pickup points. The top floor bar offers a panoramic place to sip a 2 for one drink and watch the sun set on HK island. I live in Hong Kong but on an outlying island so I know HK very well. I recommend the Nikko if you like an oasis of calm in what is a very busy city.
It was a GREAT hotel”
Nikko Hotel is in Kowloon, near to the harbour. You need to walk a bit to get to the main shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui and you need to cross the harbor to get to Hong Kong Island proper. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and some rooms have a good view of the harbour. It has Huge, comfortable rooms, bar, dinning areas and much more such as swimming pool and fitness club
Hotel Nikko- Hong Kong”
The Nikko Hong Kong provides excellent service to it's guests and will accommodate most every need. THe staff is welcoming and friendly from the moment one sets foot on the property. The rooms are clean and the harbour view is wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a quiet and friendly place to stay while in the Tsim Tsai Tsui area. Very convenient location, with excellent restaurants located within walking distance. The MTR station is a 10 min walk and provides access to the entire Hong Kong area. For added convenience, the Airport Express shuttle drops off and picks up from here as well.
a nice stay with executive package”
The Nikko is a well located hotel, very near to Tsim Sha Tsui but in a quieter neighborhood with a good view over the harbor. It is 5/10 minutes walking distance to both the Hung Hom rail station and the Tsim Sha Shui station. It is clean with good gym facilities and a small pool but with a great rooftop view of the city and harbor. Even though I booked a standard room, I was checked in at the Nikko Lounge and offered an executive package with breakfast, internet. I was glad I did it because the rate was still lower than the next door competitors (Intercon and Shangri-la) but I was able to use the lounge with an excellent view with nice complementary snacks and drinks. Only downside, staff at the well-stocked buffet breakfast was rather unfriendly. Otherwise, however staff at the hotel very professional and helpful. Thank you!
Nice hotel in quiet area of TST”
Stay there for 3 nights, perfect hotel to explore HK, settled in quieter area of bustling TST, there are 2 favorites restaurant in the vincinity, tsui wah & tai hing, yuuummy food!! Aroynd 10-12 mins walk to MRT station east TST which you can explore HK easily. Room is spacious, bathroom towels good quality, bed & pillow as well, aircon works perfectly, (we were there on summer) TV did have all fave's channel, and football worldcup !! Overall just about perfect hotel for comfort, easy to get food around, staff are excellent, we even get the handy phone after we checked out, bcos our flight is at 19:30, check in & check out in ease, thank you new world millennium.. We'll be back for sure...
Excellent Hong Kong hotel”
Stayed four nights at this hotel Nov 10 to Nov 14 2018 in a Residence Club Deluxe King room on the 15th floor. The room was an excellent size and very modern, good bedding and great bathroom. Residence Club was extra but worth every cent. Priority check in/out at the Club Lounge desk, Wine and beer between 5pm and 8pm as well as a great selection of finger food, plus coffee/tea and cakes etc all day. Club staff were excellent, especially Natalie, Oscar and James who couldn't have been more helpful. Star of the staff however was Raymond at the lobby concierge desk, who made our stay an absolute pleasure with his advice and help - a real asset to the hotel. We even had the General Manager, Renee introduce himself and enquire about our satisfaction with the hotel - never happened to us at any other hotel. A great hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui which we thought was a terrific part of Kowloon.
Excellent hotel and staff”
My mother and I visited HK for a week and stayed at this excellent hotel. The room was lovely and clean with a stunning view of Victoria Harbour and the Cafe East restaurant was lovely too, even though it is expensive! But the most positive aspect of our stay was the outstanding reception staff. They helped up with numerous things from translations to directions, to changing money and helping us with taxis. They were beautifully turned out and extremely friendly and helpful. One man in particular stood out for us and his name was Daniel. He assisted us with our plans to visit the Sai Wan Military Cemetery and also helped my Mum when she was worried about me as I had been gone for longer than she anticipated. He was calm and reassuring and very patient. We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough to be honest. The only downside was that it was quite far from the nearest useful MTR station - Tsim Sha Tsui. But it is still within walking distance, so not really a problem. Although it is nothing to do with the hotel, I would like to comment on the HK taxis. We found them to be extremely bad. On two occasions we were ordered to get out of the taxi in the middle of nowhere and not at our destination. It was very distressing on both occasions. Taxis are also often not prepared to cross the harbour over to Central or back to Kowloon, and if they are, they charge you for it (about HK$70). They don't speak any English and are often surly and rude. Our stay in HK was amazing on the whole, but was really tainted by our experience of the taxis.
A hotel I can recommend”
Hotel is just a short walk away from the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui but there's mtr station nearby. Location is good because it's not so busy, with shops and restaurants around. It's a good, quiet hotel to go home to after a day of tour and shopping. The room is big with couch and a big flat tv. On my first day, I only stayed in, watched movie and ordered room service because I was so comfortable. The bathroom is big with tub and separate shower room. Hotel gives 2 complimentary bottled water and a bowl of fruits everyday. Housekeeping gives good service. I can't ask for more. I will definitely book this hotel again!
Big rooms, location not the best”
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Nikko - rooms were huge by Hong Kong standards and the view was good. Location-wise though, the hotel wasn't great. It's a 5 minute walk to East Tsim Sha Tsui station, and a 10 minute walk to Tsim Sha Tsui station itself, which is decent, but not great. Other than that, no complaints about the hotel - service was top notch and rooms were clean and tidy.
This is the second time I have stayed at the New World Millennium. I selected the residence club rooms and cannot praise the Hotel enough for its attention to detail, the communication and commitment of the staff to make your stay an exceptional one, and the room comfort. I would recommend this hotel to any single female traveler, especially if you upgrade to the Residence club. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The hotel is situated on Mody Road very close to Hung Hom station if you need to go into main land China, and within walking distance to the main shopping strip Nathan Road. Try out the Japanese Restaurant within the hotel complex, Sagano's, exquisite food. Highly recommend.
Great hotel with excellent views of harbour”
the hotel nikko is a great choice when staying in hong kong. located in tsim sha tsui the hotel is well located to shopping, restaraunts and night life. the hotel has rooms offering spectacular views over the harbour and across to hong kong island. the hotel is an excellent choice for business travellers with business club and executive floor available.
Great hotel with very attentive service”
I stayed in the Nikko hotel on a business trip and found it perfect for my needs. I had several meetings in Tsim Sha Tsui and the Hotel was perfectly placed for them all. The room was clean and very comfortable and the wifi connection worked well throughout my stay. The breakfasts were very nice and accommodated all tastes. The Nikko lounge on the 14th floor was excellent and a facility I used on more than one occaision. I would deffinitely reccommend this hotel either for business or for pleasure.
The location is great, but PLEASE FIX THE LIFT!”
(FIRST, please fix the lift, it's always shaky when it starts from the higher floor.) The best of this hotel is its location that is right on the harbor. You would get the best view of Hong Kong's skyscrapers from your big window. Its looks on night is stunning. A little bit problem is if you have an old people in your group because it's rather far from MTR station and bus terminus. Otherwise you're already in the middle of a lively Tsim Sha Tsui and Hong Kong Island area. The hotel is an old one being renovated, they have a newly fresh room but just don't expect renovated facilities yet. However if you don't spend much of your time at the hotel, which is you should not, you would get a good price deal considering its location.
5 star hotel ”
I used to stay in renassience hotel when I travel in hong kong. My first impression to hotel nikko was woow.... Front desk and conceige are very helpful and professional. The room are very nice. The location is pretty good too, althought it located in the tourist area but you won't feel too busy there cause the hotel located in the quite side. Only 10 seconds walk to the closest bars and shopping area, 5-10mins walk to the subway and train station. Also there is a few museum close to the hotel which is a very good chance get to know about hong kong culture, I especially like the space museum where close to the fery port. After a few nite staying there, I decided to stay there while I had business trip in hong kong. Well done hotel nikko.
Excellent comfortable stay!”
Great value for money. Such a comfortable, clean, impressive hotel, great for one week of business travel. I would recommend it to anyone! It's in a very central area in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon so walkable to the shopping districts and restaurants. Great service and friendly staff, excellent rooms and modern feel. Breakfast buffet (320 HKD) was very good with international selection. I would love to stay here again.
