Too Big and Always Crowded, Not up to normal Hilton standards”
I have stayed at this hotel for business several times before. It is a huge hotel in a great central location in Manhattan. The beds are not as comfortable as in a normal Hilton, they charge an outrageous facility fee per night and often the wait for an elevator is 10 minutes or more. Not enough checkin staff, so another 20-30 minute wait. Want to get some food at their casual takeout eatery? Another 5-10 minute wait. it doesn't seem to matter if it is Christmas, or summertime - things are always a hassle here. Want to catch a cab? Another wait and you have to walk a few blocks to find a cab off the street because this hotel sucks all of them in all the time. Kudos to them for running such a busy and very profitable hotel. But I was glad to cancel the rest of my stay after finding a nicer, bigger, cheaper room across the street at the Warwick.

    Clean and spacious but pricey”
Comfortable, clean rooms with the quality you'd expect from a Hilton. Great location with a lot of restaurants nearby. Pricey "resort fee" type of charge which pins you to buying from their own bar/cafe/restaurant, no free luggage storage (even for Hilton Honours members), very limited seating in the lobby, and overall cold with high a/c blowing all the time.

Booked the room for my parents. As is usual for most hotel in the US, there are no disposable slippers, or the other small comforts one would find. There is no water kettle in the room, or coffee or tea. There is a place to buy coffee on the ground floor, so one can buy a cup and then go back up and go about the daily morning routine that way. The location is amazing though. The price is not bad for Manhattan.

Great hotel in the heart of Manhattan”
    Location, bed quality
Great location and rooms. One of the best hotels to enjoy Manhattan. It is situated behind Central Park and near Times Square or the best of the fifth Avenue. Rooms were big enough and had a very comfortable bed. The only con was the internet service, which was poor in its cheapst option, being slow and cutting the connection from time to time (not enabling skype calls).

I believe the location is the main selling point of this hotel. It is right in the center of New York City. The hotel facilities and services are within the Hilton's standard. Overall, a good place to stay in the big apple.

Spacious rooms, big beds, nice lobby and good service
great location, near subway station and good street food just outside the hotel. just a street away from broadway ave. and very close to times square although you may have to walk a few blocks to go there. rooms are great and spacious. they have comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. one bad thing is that you have to go down to the lobby for free wifi, they should include free wifi for guests.

You will be charged an additional $30 a night “resort fee”. Hotel is outdated and needs to be renewed. Only good thing about this hotel is the locations. Room is old, doesn’t feel clean and you will make a horrible impression on your partner. You are better off staying in a hotel in Long Island city.

Pros : location - close by Times Square, Central Park, 5th ave & other attractions. Cons : If you request for an early check in there’s a 45$ charge. No wifi in the rooms. A lot of extra charges too. I am very particular with how the bathroom looks & it was old & the bathtub clogs. The rooms that was given to us needs some refurbishment. It’s probably our side or floor of the hotel that looks old. They didn’t have a fridge, no complimentary coffee, tea or water like most hotels we’ve stayed in.

The best thing about the New York Hilton Midtowne is the location. It’s convenient to theaters, Centeal Park, and MoMA. Not sure of the value for money- i think a couple extras would really help, like making luggage storage complementary.

Location, Room comfort, 24 hr desk service
The hotel is in excellent location and very good value for money. It is clean and the 24 hr reception service definitely helped as I arrived with a very late flight. However, I do find it very disappointing when wifi is not automatically available in the room - especially in hotels of the Hilton brand. The daily charge for wifi was $50 which is an unreasonably high amount for something that most travellers are learning to take for granted.

Location, big bed, easy access to subway
Everything was alright except for laundry service and the phone in the room. The outsourced laundry service has changed my non-dry clean items to dry clean and charged more than I had put on the form. They even had handwritten items without a price, not knowing how much the items were charged. I've tried calling laundry dept for 1 hour and nobody picked up or returned the call. Then I had to get housekeeper passing by to contact someone for me to check for the issue. Ended up they sent a staff in housekeeping who cannot help when I requested a breakdown of the list and told me they never got such complaint and sounding like I was trying to create trouble. Well, there was no complaint before doesn't mean there will never be one. Suggest asking for clear breakdown receipts from external vendor if you don't want complaints again. This will help business travelers if they need to have a clear breakdown of items Also, the phone in the room was broken down during last 2 days and nothing was done when I has reported the problem.

Location is super convenient. But that's the only reason to stay here. Check-in staff were abrupt and near-rude, the rooms are fine and spacious, but paying 15 dollars for wifi per day and to store luggage is pretty unacceptable for a supposed luxury hotel.

    Nothing
The room have a funny smell in it. After a couple rounds of air freshener, the funny smell remains. The room do not have coffee or tea making facilities and it does not have a kettle either. This hotel is a definite no-no for families with small children as you have nowhere to get hot water for mixing milk for the toddler. The hotel do not provide self parking and it took the valet almost an hour to fetch my car on the 20th July. The baggage check was no better. There was a long line just to place your baggage, warranting at least 1/2 hour wait. Yet, they want to charge US$3.50 per baggage. I have stayed in so many hotels all over the world, this is the first time I came across having to pay at the baggage check. To top it up, the staffs was unfriendly. I guess this is what you get for staying in a city hotel in the middle of New York. This property does not deserve the "Hilton" name at all. In fact, it gives a bad name to it.
