“Hidden fees”
Pros: Location is really good. Next to Penn station. The room is small but clean. Cons: The hotel charged $45/day (including tax) for facilities fee which was mentioned in a small fine print in my agoda booking, that you can easily miss it. Agoda should have provided warning that there is this fee that I need to pay at the hotel. I did not use any facilities except for wifi which I can forego it if I know that there is a fee for using it. But then whether you use facility or not, they are going to charge you. In addition to the facility fee, they also charge $5 for leaving your luggage at the hotel. This is the first time I ever encountered that the hotel charged fee for leaving luggage at the hotel. They should not charge for it especially when they charge mandatory facility fee. Shouldn't it be cover by facility fee? outrageous! The staff are not friendly.

“Relive old world New York in style”
This property truly impressed with it's rich history and prime location, making it easy to explore nearby attractions, while the cleanliness were top-notch, the beds and linen very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The facilities offered everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a gym and two restaurants, with quick access to public transport. Quiet rooms due to the soundproof cement specifically selected for the build in 1930. Highly recommended!

“great location. very near Times Square”
the lobby is big and very pleasant. the staffs are great and is very attentive to the customer's needs. the rooms are nice and clean. checkout was a breeze. the location is great. just walking distance to Times Square and many more tourist must see sites. highly recommended. will definitely book this hotel again when i go back

“Overnight Stay”
Great location! Lobby is super busy most of the time, so don't pack your patience because you will need it with you at check in. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, fresh towels and linens, AC was cold, water was hot. Recommend a white noise machine because 8th is a main throughfare for vehicles with sirens blaring all night long. I would definitely stay here again for the price.

“Would not return”
Hotel is in a great location but rooms are small. In the middle of the first night, a large man barged into our room with a legitimate key to our room! We were shaken and traumatized. I contacted security and management and it turned out they accidentally have a key to our room to another guest in the middle of the night. This was shocking. They offered to refund our facility fee and gave us 2 vouchers for breakfast but we could not relax whatsoever. When we checked out and I was trying to talk to the front desk staff about the refund, they were extremely rude and unwilling to talk with me to explain things. I asked to speak to a manager but they refused. Really bad customer service. The cleaning staff was very friendly. I’m not really picky about where I stay in New York but I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.
