The location is fantastic. I'd recommend for everyone who is going to have fun and party. The hotel is in the center of all the club/bars so you will hear the music and noise. Don't recommend it, if you need peace and quiet.

Nice hotel but beware of city noise”
We enjoyed our stay at NH Amsterdam Schiller. The location is great for getting around to see all of Amsterdam. But know that it is in the center of town where there are a lot of late-night activities. With the windows open( no a/c) you will hear the city noise as well as music, singing and laughing. The staff were very helpful.

charming hotel in good location”
the nh schiller hotel on rembrandt square is a very good option for visitors to amsterdam. the 100% smoke-free property has a very good location within walking distance of most major attractions. if you do not have much luggage, you can even arrive on foot from amsterdam central train station (about 20 minutes). standard rooms are spacious and very comfortable. bathrooms feature both shower and tub. in the lobby, the hotel offers a computer with internet access. staff were all extremely professional and displayed friendly courtesy and helpfulness. we were happy with our choice and would recommend this hotel with confidence.

Very nice place from nH Hotels”
Will advise this hotel for everyone! Big rooms, nice view, but just a little noisy from the street, certainly, you in the heart of Amsterdam! Hotel gives you an earplugs for sleepping P.S. charged wi-fi for 8.92 euro per day, but it works in many other places in Am near another nH hotels! Tip: this is on of the oldest hotels in Am, but renovated and looks good!

A great place to be part of the vibe in Amsterdam”
There is much to commend this hotel, its central location and easy access to other areas, the nightlife locally and the buzz of the bars. Although this can make the hotel noisy at nights this never kept us awake even though our room overlooked the square. If this is likely to bother you then this is not the place for you. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms reasonably well furnished and kept, 15 mins free internet access, common areas with a traditional feel, a good selection at breakfast. Our only difficulty was trying to get a coffee at the bar one night at around 9.30 p.m. as it was shut, but mostly no problem. Its a place I would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam and looking to be part of the vibe!

the NH Schiller is a nice hotel, calm and clean. I stayed there for a business trip and i am glad i chose it as it made my stay very pleasant. Comfortable rooms and friendly atmosphere. I will definitely go back there for any other visit to Amsterdam

Decent Hotel in a great location”
At the Advent I would like to say that Agoda did an excellent job as I had booked a Singale room by mistake on the net. They were quick to respond and request the hotel for a double room to which Schiller immediately agreed. That was a big relief. Other than that check in was excellent- in fact they readily check us in early and all other facilities were good. The room was a bit small for us as we are used to larger rooms in Asia but I suppose it was standard for Amsterdam. There was also some confusion on double booking which was resolved by them along with Agoda. All in all a decent experience though I would like to recommend this hotel to people who are siteseeing as its close to Amsterdam Centrum, Dam Square, Flower market and there are a lot eating joints & entertainment outlets around the hotel. I would give this place a 7.50 out of 10 overall.

Nt Hotel Schiller Amsterdam”
The hotel is situated on one of the most popular squares in Amsterdam so it is very lively. Ask for a back room so as not to be disturbed by the noice from the square. The rooms are small and got all conveniences such as mini bar etc but does lack air-condition which is an essential draw-back during the summer months. The breakfast room and the actual buffet breakfast are lovely, beatiful room and fantastic food. There is a bar in the hotel with very friendly staff. The reception staff was very helpulf with tips where to go in the city. We enjoyed it very much!!

It is always great when you find a good deal online for a nice hotel room but when you get there and the staff is super friendly and helpful and the room is nicer then you thought, it can just make your whole trip. I already have plans to stay here again on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Nice hotel in good location. Accomodating staff”
Nice hotel in good location. 15 mins walk to central station although tram 4 and tram 9 stop almost outside. Lots of restaurants nearby and a 5 mins walk to the Dam Square. I would stay there again as the location is ideal and it's a nice hotel. Superb food in the hotel restaurant. Didn't try breakfast as it wasn't included and was 19 euros. We ate in a cafe located on Doelensluis which is the other side of the canal from the Amsterdam Dungeon but near the main junction and over a small bridge on the corner which was superb (3 mins from hotel).

Nice hotel with good location and charming service”
The hotel is well located, at walking distance of main city attractions, shopping areas and mayor museums. The square where the hotel is located has got a lot of pubs and restaurants and is one of the most lively of Amsterdam, but the noise in the room was negligible. We travelled whith a 9 months old baby, and a confortable cot was wating for us in the room. The room itself was larger than we expected. The service was nice and attend every demand of ours. We don't use the restaurant, so I can't give an oppion about the food.

We had a great stay at NH Schiller. The location can't be beat. It is close to restaurants, public transportation, and tourist stops. Our room was comfortable and clean, and decently-sized. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Brilliant hotel highly recommend”
This hotel was lovely. It was my first time to Amsterdam and I wasn't sure we would get much for our money but this hotel is spot on. I would say it was clean, the beds were comfy, there was a kettle and tea and coffee (although not many of each). My only negative was that the square is very noisy outside, as a light sleeper this was a bit of a problem.

The hotel is in a great location, serves a delicious breakfast and generally is in the top hotels I've stayed with in Amsterdam. The one thing I did not like, there's no complementary bottle of water, which is rather needed.

Fantastic location !”
Located in a perfect location at a walking distance from the Amsterdam Hermitage museum, Rembrandt house, canals boats rides, restaurant, supermarkets, etc. Breakfast buffet is good. Employees were super kind. Wifi is perfect. The only thing missing is the air conditioning . I will return for sure!

Excellent Choice in Amsterdam”
The hotel is charming and modern. The room was clean and had all of the modern appointments. The breakfast (which was included in my room rate) was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I stayed at this hotel twice in one week (see other review) and was in a room at the back of the hotel for this review. Although the room was much smaller, I found it quieter than the room on the front side of the hotel facing the square. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go.

Pro's - Location in the middle of Amsterdam - Old style hotel - Breakfast is really good and plentiful Cons - Room (standard) seemed a little bit small - Frontside has great view on the square, but might be a bit noisy - Backside is quiet but lacks nice view of the square

I strongly recommend this hotel for groups of friends and young couples who come to visit Amsterdam for weekends. The quality is a good value for money!
