100% ghosts on the 4th floor”
My wife and I stayed in 4 rooms over the course of 8 days at this hotel. The first room didn't have working ac, so they moved us to a different one. That one was right above the bar, so it was incredibly loud, especially given the hotel didn't seem to invest in any sound proofing. Our third room was nice, though. We then came back a week later for one final night. We stayed in room 441. I was no believer in ghosts whatsoever until the following occurred: 1. At 12:30 am, our room doorbell rang. I went to the door and opened it to find nobody there. I got to the door in about 7 seconds, so perhaps someone ran away before I could arrive, fine. 2. At 3:30, the doorbell rings again. This time, I lept out of bed and got to the door in 3-4 seconds. Again, nobody there or outside. Given the proximity to nearby rooms or hallways, it would've been physically impossible for anyone to have rang the bill and darted out of vision that quickly. 3. At 3:30, we called the front desk about it and they said they'd send someone up to check. At 3:45, my wife and I heard a knock at the door. I went to it (again within 3-4 seconds at most) thinking it was the hotel staff. I opened the door. Nobody was there. 4. We also heard some bangs throughout the night in the room. 5. My electronic toothbrush mysteriously went off several times. Despite all of these unusual and unpleasant experiences, the staff was great, they had a terrific sauna/steam room, solid breakfast, and overall nice rooms. As long as you're comfortable sharing the room with ghosts, I encourage you to stay.

Great, comfy place with the most amazing sauna/steamroom”
This place is pretty great. The room was quite comfortable with a great shower and nice bed/pillows. There is a sauna and stream room (which oddly nobody ever uses)! The breakfast (while not included and costs about $35 per person) was rather good. The only cons are we had some issues when we first checked in (our ac didn't work so they moved us into a different room and that second room was right above a bar below, so it was unbearably loud, and so we moved to a third room). Additionally, I personally wouldn't recommend this location. It's subjective though. If you want to be in a very touristy, busy, Times Square-like place, you'll love this hotel's location. If you want to be located by much better restaurants, much quieter, and much prettier, my vote is stay in de Pijp or Jordaan neighborhoods. Overall a very nice and largely great hotel!

Booked Barbizon Palace but was changed to their sister company flower market at the very last min. I was compensated with morning breakfast and a car to pick me up from the centrale train station. Flower market staff is very nice and friendly to welcome me to the hotel. Both hotels has good location, able to see different things, couldn't complain anymore.
