Last year we stayed at the NHAmbassador in Genoa and were very impressed.This year we stayed in Naples Nh Ambassador and were very happy with our choice.on arrival we were offered a upgrade for an extra €15.we accepted and were given a room on the 28 th floor.it was a big room with a well equiped modern bathroom.our bed was very comfortable.the air conditioning was not very effective so we had the big windows open with fresh cooling air.much nicer than air con.the view over the harbour was magnificent.wifi was very efficient.location was close to shopping and many restaurants.a good location from which to explore the different areas of Naples.breakfast in this hotel is an excellent buffet of many choices.staff at reception were always very pleasant and helpful.they made restaurant reservations for us and were very helpfulf with any enquiries.i would highly recommend this hotel.

View from Paradise”
This hotel is located perfectly. It is in an area close to the docks, so you can catch the boat down to Capri, the subway trains are within five minutes if you walk out of the front door and walk to the right. In addition, there are many historic sites within walking distance. You can easily embrace the culture of Naples as soon as you walk out of the hotel. I enjoyed the food and customer service. The employees were very helpful and could speak English. They suggested things to do and took their time. I felt a personal, rather than a business connection. I would definitely return.

Pleasant, however we haven't a chance to try all the attractions. So neither restaurant for dinner nor fitness facilities. Simply there are too much to try and to see in Napoli and its surroundings and sitting in a hotel seems to be wasting the time.

Great Stay! ”
This hotel is great, staff is friendly, buffet breakfast is delicious and very clean. We were given a room on the 17th floor which had the view of the port of Naples, which was perfect. It is very close to the harbour, just a 5 min walk, great for taking the ferry to Capri. The only minus was that it's a 30 min walk from the main Station. So when visiting Sorrento, Salerno and the rest of the Amalfi Coast by train we had to walk to and fro, which was quite tiring especially at the end of the day. There are buses that take you to the centre/ station, but we chose to walk to avoid the heavy traffic during rush hours. Apart from that, we had a lovely stay, had good access to wifi and there are nice local pizzerias in the vicinity.

Just satisfactory ”
Ok we all know NH Hotels just dont compare to Hilton Hotels even tho both are 4 star hotels... The neighbourhood around this hotel is a bit run down and rough at the back so I would advise all travellers to stay on the main roads. Naples is the only city in Italy where I felt a bit unsafe so be on your guard. Graffiti is everywhere...

Depends a bit of the room you get”
The first night we were lucky to be upgraded to a suite on the last floor; the views were fantastic, the room spacious, clean, amazing bed, large bathroom with shower and bath tub.. Not a thing to complain about. The staff were amazing, very friendly and polite. They told us where to go and where NOT to go, in the city. Buffet breakfast was amazing. We didn't try the a la carte menu for dinner, but was sold an "all inclusive menu" by the reception. Not a good idea, the menu was simple and not worth the money. Second night we went out to eat at a small local restaurant in a back-street, and were treated to the best pizza I've ever tasted, for 3 Euros! So; recommend to drop the hotel's restaurant and go enjoy the local eateries. Second night we had to switch room, -to the one we had actually booked- and although it was on the 28th floor we had problems seeing the view as the windows were so dirty.. A pity, but comfortable nonetheless. Would definitely stay here again, mainly thanks to the wonderful staff who made us feel like royalty even when we looked awfully ragged after a day in Pompeii and a night in the city :) Thank you again NH Staff!!

Lovely hotel, fantastic views of the waterfront”
Rooms were very clean, modern decor, rooms spacious for one . Staff were friendly, had breakfast every morning found to have a wide variety. A reasonable walk to shops and restaurants. Would return any time and and price was execellent, hotel staff and atmosphere were very warm and welcoming

Excellent 4 star hotel, great location”
I was immediately upgraded on arrival from my single room booking to a double room with a sea view - how lovely! (it is low season). room was great, nice hot bath every night, a couple of english lang TV news channels, comfy bed, lots of pillows; breakfast was awesome - nice touches including local pastries, grapefruit juice, fruit, muesli, hot chocolate - all appreciated. Staff were helpful in a number of ways. Even found the 'fitness room' after 3 attempts (it's not signed or mentioned in the services directory) - it's minimal but ok. i walked from here to the Port for ferries twice, and all around old part of town and up to Gallerie Umberto, so location is great. Cons: there aren't many. Staff don't know tourist info, so don't bother asking things like 'where does this ferry go from?' or 'where do i get this bus?' as they are just guessing.... Rooms are kitted out in cheap white chipboard fittings but overall very pleasant. Weirdly, the whole front wall facing Vesuvius with fantastic views is bricked in - you just get a small side window facing out to the sea - opportunity lost for great views!! but these are minor - overall a great hotel.

Nice suprise...”
On arrival we were ripped off by taxi driver from the airport - dont pay more than 25 euros! But when the hotel manager found out on arrival he was so apologetic and sorry...he was extra helpful and upgraded us to a great room on the top floor for 15 euoro - well worth it as mini bar was complimentary. Bit of a walk to e castle but well worth it - not far to the piazza Say hi to Mario for me - on front desk!

Big room needing thorough cleaning and renovation”
BAD POINTS: Booked non-smoking room and was given a smelly smoking room on smoking floor. Air-conditioning very noisy. Hotel charged for Wifi, however 4 days after leaving I received an email offering free Wifi, so too late to use this. After booking room through Agoda, I received an email from NH Hotels offering big discount, but too late because already booked through Agoda. GOOD POINTS: Big room with view of the sea. Reception staff very friendly and helpful with tourist information. Fitness room in 1622 has new equipment.

A quick stay but a good stay”
A huge hotel with an impersonal feel due to the sheer number of rooms. The reception staff weren't particular friendly but able to assist when required. Although checkin starts at 2pm, our room wasnt ready till just before 3pm which wasn't a huge issue as they were able to hold our luggage while we explored for an hour. Other than the above, our stay was pleasant enough

Short stay: buffet poor food and service”
The hotel is located in a good area although it is a little bit old - carpet and room need refurbishung. Service was not very good at the restaurant and staff did not top the buffet up - we arrived at 10 and there were no options. Overall hood value for money just not 4 star.
