Excellent”

Super 5 star service for a small hotel. Mr JP and Mrs Loga were perfect hosts, and the whole experience in Nuwara Eliya was enhanced by our stay. Would definitely recommend a stay at Nidwalden Resort. JP went the extra mile to help us with lifts to/from station, and accompanied us on sightseeing tours. Loga cooked gourmet Sri Lankan food every night, and value could not be bettered at any restaurant in town. Thank You!

Amazing homestay at Nuwara Eliya!!”

The bungalow is situated at a very good location in beautiful surroundings. Not very far from the Nuwara Eliya town center and at a walking distance to main market. JP treated us like his family. We had a very comfortable stay at the resort. JP even arranged for us to go to Horton Plains.

Bathroom was old. Every ceiling and wall is covered with mold, even made me a bit sick. Wi-Fi is very slow. But JP is a very nice host and Nuwara Eliya was a beautiful town. Definitly worth a visit

Delicious food and exceptional hosts”

We spent 2 nights with our hostsJP and Loga. They were so incredibly welcoming, I felt very well taken care of. I was travel sick from the bus ride and they made me food to settle my stomach. We had lots of fun when JP taught us how to eat the Sri Lankaan way. Loga is an amazing cook, making the freshest and most authentic cuisine we have tasted in Sri Lanka. The room was basic, but there was hot water and extra blankets. The view is lovely, the hosts welcoming and the food outstanding. For the price point, we very much enjoyed our stay.

The stay was good. As said, the owner is very friendly and helpful, and his wife cooks very lovely meals. However, it is not a resort but a homestay. Everything is a little old and not so clean, and we had a little room while the bookind said deluxe (but it looks like there were no bigger rooms as well). Ex

Our surname is Gregory. On arrival, JPEG told us he had played a small trick on his wife telling her that I wS the great grandfather of the man who built Gregory Lake and park in NE. So the fun started and continued throughout our 4-day stay. My wife had a cookery lesson on one day helping to cook the evening meal. This was sort of expected. Guest sat around the big kitchen table and served wonderful, freshly cooked food. Conversation flowed, along with the drink if you cad remembered to buy some at the supermarket 10 minutes walk away at the bottom of the hill. Once you have tried this guest house, you will try and find another like it, probably without success. Try it; you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic hosts and food”

JP and Loga are the real stars here. Loga welcomed us with a cup of tea and we were invited to eat dinner in the house. I would recommend eating in every night as Loga is a wonderful cook and will explain how to make everything. JP is a very friendly and genuine person who goes above and beyond for you; he got up early and took us to Hortons Plains as well as a tea plantation on the way back. The room is comfortable and clean, if perhaps a little outdated, but overall it's the hosts that will make your stay here great.

Friendliest couple in Sri Lanka”

JP and Loga have to be the nicest, friendliest couple in Sri Lanka. They opened their home to my husband and me and made us feel like VIPs. I can't say enough about Loga's cooking-- It was AMAZING! She should start a cooking school. What a treat to be asked what we wanted to try or liked and to watch the delicious dishes materialize before our eyes. Our driver left us for a day to return home and JP came to the rescue by driving us to the Pedro tea plantation so my husband could photograph the tea pickers early in the morning. He also let me use his computer when I couldn't access my email account from our iPad. I can't imagine how he or Lago could have been more helpful. They are the best!

Home away from home a must stay if you want a taste of Sri Lankan hospitality. ”

If you are looking for Sri Lankan hospitality this is your place. This place is run by a husband/ wife team and will give the warm Sri Lankan hospitality. The wife Loga will prepare you a delicious meal both spicy or not spicy while the husband will help you out with your tour plans and other needs. I loved my stay there. The view from their place is spectacular. You are up there in the hills and can see the tea plantations below.

Home away from home”

Staying with JP and Loga is like visiting your favourite Uncle and Auntie - the fun ones! There was great conversation, lots of laughs and great food. We loved sitting outside overlooking the neighbour's productive gardens, watching monkeys, birds and generally enjoying the peaceful ambiance. We only had two nights here but would have loved to stay longer.

the stay was a one night, and whilst there was nothing to fault apart from a bit of a problem with the hot shower in the morning it was pretty basic. the host is gregarious and full of chat. hotel is up a long road from town so you would ideally need transport

Bon accueil, bonne literie, chambre et salle de bain bien...petit-déjeuner basique( pas de jus de fruits, café pas bon ) et si vous voulez dormir allez ailleurs où il n'y a pas de chiens (2 dans cette guesthouse) La plupart des guesthouses ont des chiens et c'est un vrai problème.
