Great food, quiet, clean, every detail like underlighting on the bed for seeing if you get up in the night. Also electric outlets right next to each bed for charging devices. Very nice area for bathing in hotel bath area that was indoor and outdoor.

Great!”
The staff allowed us to leave our luggave with them when we came too early for check-in, so we went around exploring Nikko area and when we came back later in the evening to check-in properly, they informed us that they have moved our luggage updoors for us. The free dinner in the package later was superb, a meal experience in a private room, there's variety in small portions and granted some dishes might or might not be to our tasting, but we enjoyed it overall. The onsen was great as well! We didn't know we had free breakfast as well the next day, but the front desk guy was so kind enough to remind us, and it proved to be as filling as the dinner we had the night before. My friend and i intended to only stay for a night as we had plans elsewhere, so we went for onsen again before checking out. And they were okay with us leaving our luggage there again with them as we make one more exploration trip around before we return to prepare to leave the hotel for real this time (haha). Great service!

Authentic Ryokan Experience”
This Ryokan is nicely tucked in a quiet road leading to Jakko Falls, close to the local sawmill. The service and the food is amazing and authentic. The onsen facility is really with a sizable outdoor pool and quite big indoor pool. If you would like to experience something quintessentially Japanese, this is the place.

Great hotel !”
About a 30 minute (maybe less) walk from all the main attractions. The staff are some of the most friendly and helpful staff I’ve come across in Japan! The onsen is great and offer both an indoor and outdoor onsen with a sauna and great amenities. The breakfast and dinner were always delicious and I got to try the local produce and dishes. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean. Overall I loved my stay here

Great stay close to the heart of Nikko”
This was our first ryokan experience and it was delightful! I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Nikko. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, the onsen was great (they have an indoor and outdoor one), and the kaiseki dinner was a great experience as well. If you are going, I would probably recommend springing for the dinner for one night only, because Nikko has a lot of good restaurants as well. The location was good--close to a bus stop and only about a mile walk to the bridge and the stairs that lead to the other shrines. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming as well. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Great service, dinner and breakfast ”
This hotel's location is not easy to find unless you drive. The onsen facility was great. The dinner and breakfast were typically Japanese type. The Japanese lady who served us speak Japanese only. Body language was used when she tried tell us the steps and how to cook. We had a tatami room and they will laid the futon for us during our dinner time. As it was raining when we check in, our room was near to the back garden the flow and the sound of dripping water sounded so sensational. Absolutely loved this place.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Lovely indoor & outdoor (shared) onsens which wash up & power areas are lined up with high quality skin care & body products all free for you to use during your stay there. You may rent a their private onsen for a small fee. Great service and delicious breakfast & dinner. relatively near to the main attractions but quite a bit of walk to the train station (30 - 40mins). The free shuttle service to the station on our last day was greatly appreciated.

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The Japanese breakfast was delicious”
The staff were very helpful, but the place was a little run down. The carpets in the corridors were not very clean and our room smelt of old cigarette smoke and damp. We asked to change room but they said there was no other rooms. The spa was lovely but the relaxing room outside also felt like it needed a big clean up and modernisation. In my opinion it was over priced, we paid about 35000 yen per night for a family of 5, including breakfast for a family room for 5.

Nice relax Onsen”
Staff has no English unfortunately :( , but they are very friendly. The hotel food itself is very good, but you need to book. You also need to walk quite far to the hotel.

Kind of far from station. Was told there was coin laundry but not true. Costs 1000 yen to wash and dry instead.

Heart warming place”
Absolutely love this place. Situated near the middle of an alleyway next to the National Park Office, this place offers the Japanese ryokan feeling. The manager is very polite and speaks good English. The Japanese food is excellent and exquisite and nicely presented in very traditional china. You dine in an individual Japanese room without seeing the other guests (but could hear them) The lady staff speak basic English, so body language comes to work. While you are having your dinner, the ladies should have made your bed on the tatami in your room. Don't forget to make yourself a cup of green tea with the tea set on the table before you go to bed. The taste is unforgettable. The onsen is not very big, but has an indoor and outdoor pool plus an sauna. The outdoor pool is the gem. Your face is freezing and you could listen to the river flowing past and yet your body is warm. Amazing experience. This place is not that far from Nikko Toshugu. It is within walking distance, roughly 15-20 minutes or you could take the often crowded bus. The Shrine is near LAWSON and Tochigi Bank. The path leading to the Shrine is stunning. This sight is popular with Japanese school children and elderly groups and foreign tour groups. The only drawback that we can think of is the transport to/ from the JR Nikko or Tobu Nikko Station. The bus stop is No 11. The bus service is over at around 6pm. It costs around 310 yen one way, so if u will be doing a return, It's worth to buy a day pass which is only 500 yen from the station. Remember to take a photo of the bus timetable. The bus is not very frequent. Pls take note that the bus DOES NOT have any space for luggage. A problem arises when too many tourists arrived at the same time with many suitcases. Good luck!

Good stay, bit far away”
I'm living in Tokyo and I decided to make a short trip to Nikko with my sister. We stayed one night at the Nikko Green Hotel Fuwari. I had no trouble finding the hotel using the Maps app on my phone, but it was a bit of a walk from the main temple sights. It's also a ways away from most of the restaurants, so you'll want to eat dinner before you go to the hotel. I can't say anything about dinner here, but it is available. The room was Japanese style, but it and the hotel had a tired, worn-down feeling to them. That being said, the futon quilts were crazy fluffy and super warm. There's no WIFI, and the TV Channels were pretty limited. But I loved the charm of the Japanese style room. The onsen was fantastic! There were lots of shower stations to clean off at, a sauna, then a rectangular indoor bath and a small outdoor bath. I recommend the outdoor bath, it was an amazing experience! I went in December, so Nikko was very cold. But this bath was the perfect thing to warm me up. Breakfast was included with the room, and it was a very traditional breakfast. While fun to experience, I'm not adjusted to most of the traditional Japanese dishes, so I left feeling hungry. Overall, this hotel was nice for a one night stay, but next time I would pick something closer to the main part of town (near Tobu-Nikko Station).
