Best stay of our trip”

We loved every aspect of Nil Diya Mankada, our rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The food was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. They even have an ayurvedic spa to wind down. The manager was a very hospitable person generously offering help as well. The arrangements for the car and driver to and from the hotel saved us plenty of trouble too. Definately a joy to have been able to stay here!

Great location, wonderful for families”

This was a simply beautiful lodge, rooms were excellent, pool clean and maintained, staff so very friendly. Venue lovely for children to run around, restaurant on site but poor quality food, I think they are still developing menu but we still loved staying here. Would stay here again!!!! Air con, TV , fridge, has everything you need after a hot safari, small convenience stores close to buy drinks to put in your fridge. We spent two nights here and that was perfect really, one of the better places we stayed in Sri Lanka!!

Beautiful surroundings”

A beautiful resort, we only stayed for 1 night to do an early morning safari. The hotel organized the safari for us. Clean and nice family room. Our kids loved the turtles and fish pond, as well as the small playground and swimming pool. The breaskfast is fairly basic and since we didn't have it included in our room fee, it was pricey for what it was. Our kids ate one bowl of cereal each, but we were still charged full price for them - bit disappointing. Otherwise no faults, would stay again.

Great resort close to Uda Walawe. ”

This resort offers the perfect accommodation when visiting Uda Walawe NP. My family with two young children (aged 2.5 and <1), stayed here for 1 night. The pool and gardens are perfect for children (and parents), and the villa was kept clean. We organised our morning safari through the resort at the standard price (4000 rupees for the jeep + park fees). The only downside the resort was the buffet dinner. I felt it was overpriced and not particularly tasty. We also experienced the buffet breakfast after our safari which was a better experience. I would highly recommend staying here if you are passing through this area to visit Uda Walawe.

Lovely village ”

We stopped there for 2 nights. Staff organised us safari ride. It was the most exciting time to watch elephants just 2 steps in front of you, crocodiles, buffalo, peacokos and much more. After we had relaxing time by the pool. The lodge is located in friendly village. Worth to go for a walk around. Amazing stay.

Perfect stay for Safari tourists”

Close to Udawalawe national park. Nice rooms and garden. The pool is perfect during a hot day.

Very good”

Stayed here two nights and had the whole place to ourselves. Staff were great and organized two fantastic safaris through them which were brilliant. Food is well priced and good. Pool could do with a clean. Overall very satisfied as we have stayed at other safari lodges in sri lanka that are very overpriced. Would highly recommend.

Nice hotel”

All over a nice place and worth of money. Pool was good and the stuff really friendly. They arranged everything, tuktuks, safari and transfer to another city. Room was ok, but the maintenance could be better. Room was not cleaned daily and as the air is so humid, towels didn’t dry at all. Room service didn’t pick up the food plates, so it attracted a lot of ants. Restaurant was nice, but prices are double compared to nearby village restaurant prices. Breakfast was ok.

Lovely hotel in Udawalawe”

Very enjoyable stay - beautiful hotel, grounds and pool. It was a tranquil & comfortable setting that was convenient to get to the safari parks. A lot nicer than in the pictures online. Restaurant food was basic which was a shame as if you could have enjoyed a beautiful meal here it would have been fantastic. Staff were polite and helpful but would be handy to have more info of local activities. I'd definitely stay here again but would research other places to go for dinner to provide some different options.

Great place to go for safari ”

Very nice hotel with family rooms and comfortable beds and rooms. They organise tours with jeeps twice a day to go to Udawalewa. Udawalewa is great to see elephants, buffalos and birds. Hotel can organise other tours (we visited the manor house, it was interesting). This hotel is great for families as it is quiet, there is a large garden where children can play, a play ground for grown-ups and a nice pool facing trees and nature. Food is buffet style, it is ok, mainly Sri Lankab food. The only thing is that they told me they have complimentary bikes but bikes were really not in good condition so we could not have a bike ride as we planned. Although I definitely recommend the place for couple of nights!

beautiful place do not get a massage!!”

Beautiful place to stay and easy access to the safari. Had a very lovely stay until my friend and I decided to get a massage (both young females). Both of us experienced repeated unwanted sexual touching from the masseuse (male). We tried to inform the reception, however it appeared not to be understood. Obviously this experience greatly ruined our stay and made us feel quite uncomfortable. Would recommend the place but not the beauty spa!!

Great pool and nice rooms ”

The only thing we could complain about was the buffet, the food was cold and the selection was not great. Other than that the pool was very nice and awesome rooms! Would come back again but would avoid eating at the hotel

Friendly with attention to details”

Ok hotel, but overpriced and low quality of service and food.”

The hotel is OK and the rooms are spacious, but a bit outdated and not very clean. The manager is mainly trying to earn more money from the tourists. For example breakfast is not included (which was clear during booking), however the price was far too high (>10USD) and food was of low quality. Same as the dinner, do not eat here.

These guys ripped us off. We booked three rooms on Agoda. The booking said that each room can accommodate two people, as its a large double bed. So we had two pax per room. When we checked out of the hotel, they charged us for each person. We got into a huge verbal fight, which ruined our Sri Lanka trip and made us late for our flight. These guys are a scam.

Value for money, very green hotel ”

We stayed for 1 night only. Room are clean and nice. Value for money and we ordered room service. Foodswas good and we enjoy our room service foods. Staff friendly and the hotel arrange for our safari tour. We walk around the hotel. Some part of the hotel facilties run down due to less visitors. You can't swim if that you looking at, but its fine for us since we are there for safari. Overall i will recommended this hotel to others. Nice place to stay... Due bring your ear plugs since the hotel located near to tample and the prayer start at 5am.
