Nimmanhemin hotels & places to stay

This is a great location if you want to stay in the area of Nimmanaheinda. It's very close to that Main Street but not so close to the old town. The hostel has two large common areas, one with AC. The rooms were very clean and they have curtains around the bed for privacy. The bathroom of the email dorm was very clean and spacious. The air conditioning in the room was powerful. The only thing is that wifi was not very good in the room. The owner was really nice. He helped me bring my backpack downstairs for my checkout. Also, I had booked all my nights in advance through Agoda but decided to not use the last night because i had to come back to Bangkok and the owner suggested to refund the night. Then he called me one if the red truck taxi and negotiated a good price for me to go to the airport. Overall good hostel to meet people too!

Small family-run hostel, opened recently. Stayed in the twin room which was spacious with a balcony overlooking the front however the room seemed a little bare with just a sofa and tv, a bedside table would have been nice. No private bathroom but shared with the dormitories upstairs. The location is quite far from the old city but is ok if you rent a bicycle. It is directly opposite the Victoria Nimman Hotel, useful to know if taking a taxi to the hostel. It's around the corner from iberry ice cream shop, and down the road from a Tops supermarket. If you know Chinese you can have great conversation with the owner.

It’s worth staying here cuz the price is reasonable. The owner (P’Som) is so nice and friendly to the guest. I am really appreciated for her warm welcome. Breakfast is perfect and the kitchenware is so clean. The atmosphere surrounds this area is peaceful. I booked the twin-shared bathroom ; the room and the bathroom are so clean, spacious and comfy, especially the bed is much comfortable. When I told her, the bed is so soft then she told me she chose by herself cuz she loves a comfortable bed and she wants the guest feel the same. I always feel home there and I will choose this hostel for my next Chiangmai trip. If you wanna have the same experience as me in Chiangmai, I strongly suggest you to choose Daizy House Hostel for your trip.

The receptionist was nice, he helps me with my stuff and explains everything I need to know. They also provide some easy breakfast, such as toast and banana. My bed is clean and look so comfy and also has a good bathroom but however, the location is quite far, in case you walk from the central Nimman. My bedrooom is in the front so that there was noisy all night long and while walking back to the hotel, the street was dark and no one around there so you must make sure about the location before you book.

Staff were very willing to try to make things work for guests. I arrived just before the Loi Krathong festival so things were very busy; they had fully booked!. A few guests-to-be turned up and the staff were considering putting up an air bed if everyone in the bunk room was okay with it. They didn't go for it in the end but obviously this shows some kind of commitment to making things work for customers. Note that there aren't lockers. Also, the six-bed dorm only had four beds when I stayed.

It has been a great time at the Bloom Hostel! The building is really nicely designed, still quite new (since it was opened this January) and is very clean! At the time I've been there it was kind of quiet there- which I thought was nice! I loved the stuff, especially the hostel owner who was super friendly, always helping out, making sure that I as an alone-traveller was doing okay, even bringing me places and going out for lunch together with other backpackers! By foot it's a little to walk to the main part of Chiang Mai - the Old Town (about 2 km). But on the other hand it's not that far from the zoo, a 7/11 Store, the Maya Mall where you can eat very good and cheap lunch and Chiang Mai University (from where you can easily take a red car going to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep- the probably most impressive and popular temple of Chiang Mai, the Queens house and to a hill tribe). It was a really family-like atmosphere in the hostel! Am so grateful for the time there! Would definitely love to go there next time I'm in Chiang Mai! Thank you again!

I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hostel. It was essentially a small boutique hotel that had hostel beds in the bedrooms as opposed to the standard room setup. Also, the hostel beds weren't the standard bunks which one would normally find in hostels, but more sleeping capsules, providing a high degree of privacy considering it was a hostel and not a hotel/private room. The owner really did a great job with the design, both functionally and aesthetically. The location was terrific, in a trendy area with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and a really nice mall just down the road (at a major intersection). While in walking distance to everything in the area, it was on the back of the main road, both convenient and quiet! The one area where they could improve somewhat, although not bad as is, is in the cleaning of the common areas, primarily the bathrooms. Overall, OneNightZleep was terrific and I plan on going back and making it my go to place to stay when in Chang Mai.

Located on Nimman 3 rd., all kinds of stores and facilities available nearby 24/7. About 150 baht red truck ride from the airport. Free clean towel with THB200 deposit which will be paid back in full upon return. Staff speaks English well, and serve free quality breakfast in the morning. Same menu everyday but we enjoyed it everyday. Price couldn't be better. At around THB300 per night, it may well be the best budget hostel pod/capsule-style I've ever stayed in the world. Cons : at times you will hear thunderous airplane take off noises since it is close to the airport but I suppose the bedroom doors are sealed tight enough that I was never awaken at night during my 3-night stay. Overall : super cheap and exceeded expectation in all areas

Went there around 6pm. He went out for dinner and I have to wait for an hour before be able to getting in. (The door is locked and no place to sit outside. Have to go to a cafe nearby.) Very good location, just on Nimmanhemin Road near Rinkham intersection, where you have access to almost everything. Warned you that in 2016 there are big constructions going on just opposite the hostel.

Bed Addict is located very close to Think Park and MAYA department store and also on Nimmanhemin Road where you can find anything you want around this place such as good foods, nice restaurants, Thai massage shop is every where, etc. This is my 1st experience with the hostel and it's beyond my expectation! Thx to Bed Addict! Tho it's just only one night stay but it's a good experience! ;D

I had no problems, even extended my stay. Very clean and comfortable place to rest up. I had no problem with the planes. Yes you hear them but nothing that earplugs can’t take care of. The other guests were the loudest because the rooms aren’t soundproof at all but again, earplugs. I’ve enjoyed my stay. I was doing yoga nearby and that’s why I stayed here but it is far from the center so know your neighborhoods before you book.

It's a new guest house. We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was a bit far and incorrect-- the address from the booking page wasn't exactly correct. We spent ourned 10 mins to look for the place and realised we need to walk further down a bit from the street from what google map has directed us, But it's okay! The guest house was so LOVELY! It's new, nice and quite. The room was at 3rd floor, the shared bathroom was big and clean! The room was cozy! Everything is great! The interior and decoration was so cozy and comfortable for traveler to relax in ChiangMai. The staff were lovely and helpful, very friendly of course. We enjoy our stay here and will come back for sure.

This is a great news for a single traveler who wants to stay in Nimmanhemin area with all the convenience accessible from local street fares, nearby temples, organic health stores, nail/spa shops, trendy cafes and a variety of restaurants to the brand-new mega shopping mall 'Maya' all within a walking distance. For me, Nimmanhemin is the best area to base in to enjoy all levels of Chiang Mai goodness and Baanmek is the perfect place to explore it from. I am not new to Chiang Mai and I have experienced quite a few accommodation options so far, so I can tell you why Baanmek stands out for single travelers. First of all, its location. It is conveniently located in the very center of Nimmanhemin but fortunately is not around bars that play a loud music until after midnight, which happened to me once ;) So it ensures you a good night's sleep. Speaking of which, Baanmek's bedding is a great plus. It is not that of a cheap hostel's, but of a decent hotel quality. And the common bathroom is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Second of all, community feeling. I am a single traveler, and like to interact with other fellow travelers, but while keeping my space. What suits me about Baanmek is that you get your own tiny room where one bed and a small lamp stand fit, but on the ground floor, there is a breakfast restaurant (I heard that they are going to open it for a cafe soon too) where you can just sit, and peacefully start a conversation with other guests who most probably are there alone, too. I like the fact that I get to have my space separated by a Japanese-style sliding door and still have a chance to meet with other people in an open place. Some people might feel the room is too small but it suited me just fine. Imagine a small Japanese zen monk room. So, all in all, I strongly recommend Baanmek for any single traveler or even a pair, who may have a light pocket but wants to be in a safe and clean place created with a nice touch of design.

This hotel is at the end of a quiet street in the Nimman neighborhood. The room was very large and looked brand new. It was very clean. Free water was a nice touch. The staff was nice and helped us book a taxi to the airport for a reasonable fee. We were surprised at how big the room was. Balcony too. Hardly any noise and we slept very well. For the price and what we were given we would stay again. 3 blocks to Nimman street. Looked like a brand new hotel. Blackout curtains. Could be a 3 star for what we were given. Recommended for a good night sleep!

This is quite a new guest house in town, lovely place, comfortable, quiet in town, and the staffs, Khun Kik and Khun Nutt are super friendly and helpful. I really do recommend this place if you look for the good budget comfortable room, just 2 mins walk to the restaurants and nigh lives on Nimmanhemin Rd. The double bed room we booked was large and provided little couch, bathroom is well maintain, even once the hot shower didt work but they managed to fix quickly. Kik and Nutt were really helpful advising info as you need, such tour plan, transportation, place to dine. They even helped us find the scooters and we drove up to Doi Pui. 3 nights and 4 days in Chiangmai staying at Sabai Day made our trip very enjoyable. I definitely come back to stay. FYI: if you do geocache, you can easily find there too.

We were originally staying on the outside of the old city on the east side but our hotel booked up and we had two extra nights. I wanted to experience a different side of the old city so we looked west, and that is when we found The Nest. When we arrived we found out the room we booked was no longer available so we were upgraded for free to the suite. It was a great surprise. The best part about it was the two rooms, our baby could go down in the far room with the fan, aircon, and sleep machine and she wouldn't here us talking in the other room (there is no door between them) or see the light. Plus it had a big soft rug which was perfect as she was just learning to stand up. Bird one of the hotel staff was most helpful, when we arrived walked us to the mall and pointed out a few things to us. He helped us arrange a taxi to go see Doi Suthep Temple, and arranged our taxi to the airport. I would highly recommend staying here. Breakfast buffet was good also, but get there early as it sits there until 10.
