Beautiful Gem of Hotel in the middle of town”
The hotel is a very modern hotel, with spacious and large rooms. Although it is quite far from shopping and attractions, it is very accessible by MTR (Ngau Tau Kok Station) therefore, location is not an issue. Forte restaurant is by far one of my best dining experiences in Hong Kong at affordable prices. Overall the hotel is really very good value for money. The rooftop pool is also beautiful, offering good view of the city. They also offer free mini-bar refreshments and a free shuttle bus to Kowloon Airport Express Station.
Home away from home”
I booked a B room for my parents as a temporary place to stay for a house reno project. My parents enjoyed the "bigger than normal" room very much. Hotel staff were attentive to accommodate their needs. They enjoyed the free drinks provided / replenished daily. House maintenance staff were polite and diligent. Hotel's restaurants are great. There's 翠華 (HK-style cafe) near the hotel and other local eateries to explore. Big thanks to GSM Ms Yam for her professional and timely help with a mini extension of this stay; it's a last minute request as the reno was delayed and at initial inquiry for the extension, one of the days were fully booked. Ms Yam's patience, decisive and courteous manner greatly calmed my Mom's eagerness (aka panic). I hope to see Ms Yam with future stays at L'Hotel Elan location. I highly recommend this to those who seeks a temporary home away from home. Please keep up the awesome work.
My mother and I stayed 4 nights at l'hotel élan and were highly satisfied with the hotel. The hotel is not located near the main tourist areas, but we found the location pleasing enough because we could easily walk to the MTR (even with suitcases) and get anywhere we needed to go. Plus, the area did not have the crowds and commotion of main tourist districts which was nice. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and included a number of complimentary beverages each day. The breakfast foods were tasty and the restaurant beautiful, but the food choices were the same everyday. The only disadvantages really were that noises made by others in the hallway (talking, etc.) are heard in the room and the breakfast staff was not always the most friendly, neglecting on occasion to offer the coffee and tea. (Note: otherwise, the hotel staff was fantastic!)
As good as always”
As good as always, just like our previous stays. Very clean room, tidy beds, free drinks inside the mini bar bridge in-room. Tried out the buffet dinner at Forte, Level 2 of the hotel. Around $340 (with discounts of certain banks credit cards) with nice hot food, salad, some sashimi and frozen prawns and crab legs avalible for selection, with Movenpick ice-cream all you can eat for dessert. A dinner considered not as crowded as rest of HK, especially we had it on a Saturday night, which is supposed to be very busy elsewhere. Only pity thing about the stay was that our request for 1 King Bed was not met, despite staffs knowing we preferred it as stated by Agoda. Yet we understand it may be a full booking period so we accepted the fact. Overall a satisfactory stay in L'Hotel Elan once again. We shall return for future stays.
Fantastic Hotel, Great Staff, Brand New Hotel”
I stayed here for a week and could not have been happier with my choice. The hotel is brand new and has been finished in an absolutely wonderful style. Reception is on the 35th floor with a skyline view, the lobby, lifts and corridors are luxuriously appointed and the rooms and both practical, aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. Rooms have a huge TV with a good choice of satellite channels & dvd player. the Wi-Fi is lightning fast. The mini-bar is complimentary. Front desk and housekeeping staff were first class - I requested a few things and these arrived within 10 minutes, no trouble at all. One day I had returned before they cleaned my room, they were good enough to call me, apologise and ask what time they should come back - brilliant service. Room service is good food and delivered fast (you order it on an iPad they provide in the room). The hotel is a fair way away from the main areas of TST & Central, however within 5 minutes of walking out the front door you will be on an MTR train, so I didn't find it too much of an issue. This is a sharp, comfortable and modern hotel with wonderful staff - I look forward to returning next time I am in Hong Kong.
Very good hotel a bit out of the way”
We enjoyed our stay, brief as it was. The hotel was an easy walk from the Ngau Tau Kok MTR station and while, as others have said, the surrounding area is rather dull it's easy to come and go via taxi or MTR. We had shopping to do and errands to run (we live in Macau) so it this was a great find, a modestly priced hotel with a workable location and an upscale feel inside. The top-floor lobby is a bit weird but not hard to manage, and the room was beautifully simple (stone floors, white linens, modern furniture, lots of ambient lighting options) and clean. We ate elsewhere and didn't go online so can't comment on the food or the Internet. Our only disappointment was the thin selection of channels in the TV, with few to no movies, but were too tired to worry too much about it by the time we got back to our room from a trip to the Megabox (about HKD 30 away by taxi, by the way). (We could have watched a DVD on the in-room player but hadn't brought any and don't know whether any can be had from the desk.) Staff were very friendly and efficient and generally we marked this down as a place to come back to when we have things to do in Hong Kong.
Very nice room”
this is the third time i stayed in l'hotel elan. a very nice, clean and comfortable room with a reasonable price. i do not need to stay in tsim sha tsui or causeway bay where the hotel are extremely expensive. l'hotel elan is near ngau tou kwok mtr station where going to causeway bay only taking 30 mins by mtr. spend the money wise.
Stylish modern hotel”
I felt very relaxing staying in this hotel. the aroma of the hotel is nice. The overall facilities and rooms are nice. Although it is not quite near to the shopping part of Hong Kong, I will stay here once again when I go to Hong Kong in the future. However, there are still a few places for improvement, for example: the towels I got after the housekeeping did not smell good, seemed not clean enough, and the shampoo provided makes my hair very dry. These are two points that may need to be improved.
Big Beds, Value for Money, Clean & Comfotable”
The rooms comes in King or 2 Double Beds which is good as we have 2 adults and a 7 year old kid. Lots of channels in different languages and also a Kid's Channel on TV. Drinks in mini bar is free and its replenished daily when the staff cleans the room. There is an Ipad in the room in case you need to surf the internet. Internet speed is good too. The hotel deco is very modern and there are bananas, apples, dried fruits, nuts and soft drinks available at the fitness area. You can also have coffee, expresso and tea there. Its located in the suburbs but since the MTR station and airport express bus is about 3-5 minutes walking distance away, getting around Hong Kong is easy. 7-Eleven and some local eateries are a short distance away. Its a new hotel and no tour groups spotted during our stay.
Modern, quiet hotel with comfy room”
My family and kids have an enjoyable stay at L'hotel Elan. The room is clean and comfy. Steady hot water for showers, nice windowsill. The lighting is good for couples but not bright enough for kids. Transportation is convenient, close to APM and close to Kowloon Bay.
Best hotel I've stayed in HK”
1. Cost of hotel was reasonable for all the good points of the hotel. 2. Room decor was very relaxing and comforting! Shower facilities was awesome, wooden floor in the shower keeps you warm and is non-slip! 3. iPad for used! 4. 8 bottles of free drinks a day plus free drinks at the gym 5. gym has a nice partial seaview. Gym has limited machines though, but with medicine balls and weights. 6. Service was great! Check in and check out with a very smooth and swift process. 7. Relatively near to MTR, about 5mins walk across some overhead bridge. 8. Limited food around the vicinity, but since it's hong kong, always worth to travel out for good food and shopping. Tsui Wah nearby is not bad but on the pricey side.
Great small hotel in East Kowloon. Mini pool on rooftop with great views over harbour from Kowloon side. Spacious bedroom for HK! Fantastic value for money. MTR to access Central. Near to Diamond Hill for Nan Lian Gardens. Commercial area so not much sightseeing but good little restaurant round the corner. Staff very helpful. Very nice shower.
Good value for money, alright location.”
Location: Not really near town, about 7-9 stops away from Central Kowloon but if you are not fussy, it takes only about 20-30mins to get to town. The hotel is about 5-10minutes walk from the train station but there isn't much shops to buy food along the way. You have to either go to the housing estate on the opposite side of the MTR station for Cha Chan Teng & 7-11 or the Tsui Wah which you will see along the way back to the hotel from the MTR station. The nearest shopping centre is APM which is one train station away. It takes about 10-15mins to walk there from the hotel. Room: The room is clean and very modern. The size of the room is decent and there is enough space for an armchair, side tables, bay windows etc. However, there is clever use of the space in the room and they managed to provide quite a number of items kept in interesting ways around the room. Flat screen TV has good selection of channels and there is even an ipad and a iapd docking sound system. Bed: Bed was huge and comfy and we slept well. Air con worked perfectly as well. Toilet: Decent size and interesting that the mirror was not fixed but could be slided along the windows. Amenities provided was more then sufficient and they even provided a luffa! Gym: the gym was small but sufficient and there is free drinks and snacks at the gym area which was very good. All in all, a good stay and value for money. We will go back to L'hotel Elan if the standard is maintained.
Modern luxury hotel on the Kowloon side”
L'hotel Elan offers great value. The hotel room was one of the best designed I've stayed in, with many thoughtful touches. The view from the pool offers a lovely look at Hong Kong island. And the hotel is but a stones throw from the subway station. The area around the hotel is still very much in development though.
Not actually couple but brother and sister on a vacation weekend”
The Hotel was perfect the staff were polite and positive. The room was large for Hong Kong standards. Although the location is not common for hotels it turned out b being perfect with access to bus, MTR, and ferries. The promenade park was a nice place to relax and enjoy the skyline of Hong Kong. Excellent job, keep up the great work. See you again soon.
L'hôtel Elan is definitely different from all the other hotels I stayed so far during my business trips. Different in style, design and conception. Well odouring from the groundfloor to the swimming pool and the fitness room on floor 35. Very clean and comfortable room fitted with large built-in TVscreen, free Wifi access, Ipad in the bedroom, and all the amenities and accessories you need in the bathroom and the living area to make you feel comfortable throughout your whole stay. Nice variety of food in the restaurant on the 2nd floor with very pleasant staff. Large shopping center at a 5 minutes walk from the hotel where you have a big choice of restaurants offering international cuisine. Very close MTR station. I will certainly stay again at l'hôtel Elan on my next trip to Hong kong and will strongly recommend this hotel to all my contacts.
nice hotel in a quiet location”
l'hotel elan is totally worthy the price you pay for, the room is spacious and the service is great. the location is a bit remote, i needed to ask for the direction after i got off from the tube. the sign in the tube station was not very clear. the pool on the top floor was extremely small, so if you want to swim in the summer, i don't recommend this hotel. other than that, everything else has achieved my expectation. and the price i paid for the room is quite a bargain compared to other hotels in hk. the area is very quiet which suits me quite well. once you know the direction you'll find that the hotel is actually quite close to the tube station. i will definitely book this hotel again when i go to hk.
good hotel to stay”
I always choose L'hotel elan during my business trip, many reasons. Very close to my partner office, super clean, nice staff and price is reasonable at all. The nicest thing is having free drinks (soda, beer and tea) provided. But that is the point I remember all the time.
Nice & Comfy Hotel”
i took city flyer bus a22 from the airport at hkd 39. alight at ngau tau kok station about 1 hour. walking distance to hotel near millennium city building. very convenient. too bad no airport transfer. there is tw restaurant nearby also. the bad thing about the hotel is the reception check in which is on 35th floor. and the lift is quite slow. when i reached there, there is 1-2 guests queue-ing, have to stand and wait. not very nice to let guests wait for so long. the pool is also small. never get the chance to use it. the room is big and comfy. the shower room is good. extension wiring for hair dryer and free wifi for whole day is plus point. safe and peaceful to walk to hotel after midnight. the view is not fantastic as the surrounding is car showroom and car repair shop. takes about 10-20 mins to mongkok and central area. i will stay again if i visit hong kong again!
nice hotel room and view from the top”
Our whole stay in the hotel was very nice. The room was big relative to other hotels which I think is its real advantage. I also liked that each room had an ipad and the interiors were also awesome. The view in the top floor was also breathtaking which provides you a view of the hongkong skyline, which other similarly priced hotels do not offer. I would definitely stay here again in my next trip to hong kong.
