Accommodation for solo travelers”
Very good, well-proportioned, separate elevators for men and women, feels private and safe, modern and clean, has lockers for storing luggage, can fit a large 28-inch suitcase, the bathroom is clean, the number of rooms is just right for the number of guests, comes with a complete set of bath amenities, close to tourist attractions, the only downside is that cash payment is not accepted, only card payment is allowed, but the staff is helpful, although there may not be many staff around and you have to press a button to call for assistance. Overall, it is still very good and suitable for solo female travelers on a budget.

Clean and comfy”
Difficult check-in machine and frequent errors, but the staff will come to assist (not sure how well they speak English, usually communicate in Japanese). The staff's manners are very good.
High cost-performance ratio/good location for accommodation.”
The price is affordable, and it is close to Hakata Station with convenient transportation. The washing facilities are complete and clean, but there are no washing/drying machines or places to hang clothes. As it is a capsule hotel, the sleeping environment may be noisy with people coming in and out, and snoring sounds. It may not be suitable for people who are sensitive to noise or light sleepers. In Japan, it is considered a high-value hotel in terms of budget hotels.

1 night only if you really have to! ”
This capsule hotel if very futuristic and will blow your mind in the beginning. Great design and overall very clean. The reception area is beautiful and has a roof top balcony. The bathrooms and showers are nice but no air ventilation! Feels like you are in a sauna. Same for sleep pods- floor was very hot and no cooling a/c. The sleep pod doesn’t have a good vent either. I stayed on the 5th floor and my sleep pod was near the main entrance door. The ladies were going in and out throughout all hours of the night and the door just kept slamming ( it is a very heavy sliding door). With no proper air ventilation many ladies were coughing and sneezing and opening and closing the pod screen. We all had to drink water because it was very uncomfortable. Phone alarms kept going off at different times and some ladies didn’t get up to stop the alarm till after 5-10 mins. With that said, the amenities in the showers are great! Everyone gets a bag with pjs, towels, bath mat and toothbrush. Hairdryers are cleverly placed in drawers under the sinks. Lighting is very dim so hard to do makeup. There is one vending machine on the 9th floor but is has very limited items. Recommend buying food and water in the 7/11 downstairs (street corner) before heading up. The building is designed for you to take the elevator up to 9th floor for check in. You receive a card with QR code that gives you access to your sleep of floor and locker on 8th floor. There are 2 elevators - one for women only and one for men only so you will not have access to both. These areas can only be accessed for the inside area. So very safe! The lockers did look small and narrow in the photos. But I travelled with a large suitcase about 30” and it actually fit in the locker. Also there is a call button for the staff. If you need to store luggage they can store it for you. Just need to ring them using the touch screen check in system.
Thank you for choosing Nine Hours Hakata Station. We are very happy to hear that you were satisfied with your stay. Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to write this review. We look forward to serving you again.
It was a pleasant experience!”
I stayed in 9h for a total of 5 nights. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Hakata station. There are restaurants, convenience stores, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby, but it is not noisy or crowded even at night. The pod is spacious enough to be comfortable. The locker and shower area are on a different floor than the pods, so it's quite peaceful in the sleeping area. The toiletries are provided, and the towels, slippers, toothbrushes, and lounge attires are refreshed daily, so there's no need to bring a lot of stuff. What I love most is the shower area, it is truly warm and relaxing! However, I have to note that since women usually take a longer time to prepare, the sink/mirror area can be fully occupied during peak times. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. If there's anything, I hope there's a washing machine/dryer in the hotel/nearby to do some laundry.
