Located at the Parking Building”

Nine Hours Narita Airport is located at the parking building beside Terminal 2, not inside Terminal 2 which I initially thought. I arrived at the airport around 2:30am after taking the midnight airport bus from Ginza and the walk bridge connected to the parking building was closed for the night. I crossed the street and took the escalator up to the bridge and followed the signs to go down the elevator to Nine Hours. The locker in the airport hotel is a lot wider than the one in Shinjuku, I didn’t have to squish my luggage in. They still provide the same amenities as other Nine Hours as you check in: disposable slippers, bath towel, small towel, pajamas, and dental kit in a mesh bag. They also have shampoo and shower gel in dispensers in each shower cubicle. They’re very strict with time. I accidentally slept through my alarm, so the cleaning ladies woke me up 10 minutes before checkout. I got charged for staying 20 minutes past my check out time of 10am. Even with that, I’m just thankful to already be at the airport for my morning flight. This capsule hotel is very convenient for early flights.

A novel Japanese experience! ”

Uniqueness, cleanliness & security

If you're looking to spend a night in Narita Airport because you've got an extremely early/late flight to catch, then you MUST consider the Nine Hours Narita Airport Hotel. The capsule hotel is a uniquely-Japanese experience, and one that you've got to try for yourself to appreciate. As a solo female traveller, knowing that the capsules were separated by gender made me feel even more secure. The property made me feel like I was in a futuristic sci-fi movie of sorts. The main colour schemes of the place was black, grey & white - so think modern & minimalist - aesthetically appealing while functional & clean at the same time. The moment you enter, you're greeted by the reception, who will hand you a bag containing a loungewear, bedroom slippers, some toiletries & a towel, as well as your key to your locker. You then move on the next room which basically is a locker room, for you to deposit your luggage and to change out of your shoes. You'll need to be in their bedroom slippers as you proceed to the next room, the toilets. Hairdryers & tissues are also provided for the ladies to get made up. Moving on, you come to the shower room, which I love because each room has plenty of space. Apart from the shower itself, you're given countertops to place your clean / dirty clothes & your toiletries bag. Finally, you make your way to the capsule pods (which felt very The Matrix). The entire space is very quiet & peaceful, so as not to disturb those who might be sleeping in the capsule pods. The pod itself is not as claustrophobic as I'd always imagined it to be. Plenty of space for one person to have a good night's rest, also sufficient height so a tall person can sit up comfortably. Bed + Pillow were both very comfortable. The pod felt a bit stuffy at night... as though there was a lack of ventilation. Overall, a very unique experience that you can only find in Japan, so don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and to give this a shot!

Great capsule experience!”

We stayed at Nine Hours as we arrived to Narita airport late, and were leaving early the next morning. It was a great experience, with more room than we thought it would have! Everything is exceptionally clean and the showers were actually the best ones we found on our two week Japan trip! We could sit up in our capsules, and there was a powerpoint in there to charge up our gadgets. Great for a short stay, but one of the guys we travelled with didn't appreciate the thin mattress - so if you have hip or back problems and need something softer, this probably isn't best. Totally fine for the rest of the group though :)

Very great place to rest”

Very ideal place to stay as the Nine Hours is located in the Narita Airport terminal 2. Just have to spend some time to find where it is. Nine Hours is at the level B1 if you going to stay there. Very clean place. Only one thing to complain is the thickness of the mattress and plastic stuffing pillow. But surprisingly I still can have a very good sleep.

Exceptional”

Every traveller to Tokyo should experience staying in a capsule hotel at least once. And if you have an early morning flight departing from Narita Airport, this is an ideal opportunity. The hotel is located right off the international departure hall. There is a large locker for storing luggage. Pjamas, slippers, towel and toothbrush provided. Showers are hot and clean. The capsules are surprsingly roomy; the only downside is if you have a snoring neighbour. Breakfast is a coupon to eat at a nearby cafe.

good location for a night at the airport”

For early or late arrivals, this is an ideal option to spend the hours away. Unlike the one in Kyoto, you can keep your luggage in your own locker and fetch personal items easily without taking the elevator back to the main hall. But it can also mean removing your luggage immediately the morning you check out. However, it won't affect much of its service as people there are usually leaving straightaway in a rush. Facilities are impeccable, neatly and well arranged. Wish you have a nice night in nine hours Narita.

Try it!”

It was my first time sleeping in a capsule hotel. I had an early flight in the morning and since Narita it's quite far from the city I decided to spend the night at Nine Hours. It was one of the most original experiences ever! It's far cleaner and has better facilities than many other "real" hotels. If you need to sleep near the airport, this is the ideal place.

capsule hotel in Narita”

my first capsule hotel experience! i had a 9AM flight out of Narita and didn't realize that i was booking a flight in the middle of Golden Week so didn't want to take any chances. location is within the airport complex, and there are lots of signs pointing to the hotel. shower and public facilities were great, although the hair dryer was kinda the low-energy type. can't say much about the capsule, i was just glad that it was only a 1-night stay as the mattress was kinda thin. overall, it was the best option for those who had to stay in Narita airport.

Convenient for 1 night's stay”

Was the last stop before taking the flight back home. Since it is within Terminal complex, it was very easy to finish off work at the airport complex (dropping off wifi router), checking for shuttle buses to Terminal 1, visiting Narita san which is one stop by JR train from Narita airport station for which the train starts from Narita airport itself. The cabin is clean and the showers and toilet were clean and functional. The locker allows you to store the baggage and valuables. The atmosphere is quite impersonal and the staff are mechanically polite. Overall it served its purpose for me.

Perfect Hotel for Late Airport Arrivals”

The hotel is connected to Narita International airport by a skybridge so location is perfect. Everything in the capsule hotel is clean. There are enough shower rooms provided with shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. The locker accomodated 1 big luggage and 1 small trolley bag. The person managing is front desk is not very accomodating, he probably is having difficulty expressing himself in English. I will use this capsule hotel again in the future.

Great and comfortable capsule hotel”

This capsule hotel has excellent location for travellers arriving late at night or departing early in the morning from Narita Airport. Upon check in, you ill be given a toiletries bag with towels, pyjamas, slippers and toothbrush. The locker provided was also huge and could fit a 28" luggage with a travelling backpack. The bed and blanket was comfortable, and there were individual charging ports in each pod. It does not have the best noise reduction and you can easily hear people chatting and walking, but i think it is part of the beauty that makes this whole concept of resting and sleeping work -- people will quieten down unknowingly so everyone could rest. Definitely worth the price and it's quite an experience!
