Above average”
Booked Ninong's Hotel because we had a very satisfactory stay during our first visit to Legazpi. Ninong is situated at the heart of Old Albay, just a couple of minutes away from Penaranda Park. We arrived in Legazpi pretty early so we knew that there will be a high probability that we won't be accommodate right away due to the hotel's high occupancy rate at the time of check-in. After a couple of hours of waiting, with much follow up, we were offered to stay in the Annex of the hotel with the caveat that the Annex won't have access to an elevator. Given that the room was only on the second floor, my friend and I agreed to take the room as we wanted to freshen up and rest after a stressful and tiring flight from Manila. The room assigned to us was a disappointment. There were flies in the room when we checked in so we spent our first minutes killing flies lest we become fly food while we took our afternoon siesta. The bathroom door was made out of aluminum and would not close properly. As it was adjacent to the bed, we had to stick the bathroom mat in between door and the floor just so it would not budge. The shower head was cracked so the rainfall effect actually felt more like a torrential downpour in some areas and scattered rainshower in other areas. While we were warned about the absence of an elevator in the Annex building, we were not warned that the room we will be occupying will be right above the hotel’s karaoke bar. It was a good thing that an acoustic band was playing that night, else, I would’ve gone amok. Atleast their breakfast was a vast improvement from last year. While the hotel staff was generally friendly and accommodating, the front desk staff needs a customer service overhaul. We check out early in the morning and the staff who greeted us (she came out from the back office after several knocks on the counter table) literally looked like she just got out of bed.

Ninong's Hotel April '17”
Terrible experience during brief two day stay. Management allowed overwhelming of hotel staff and facilities by convention attendees. Conventioneers disturbed guests with loud behavior in the hallways at early hours (6am) awaking quests. Convention participants clogged the lobby to the point that normal traffic could not pass. The elevator broke with no visible hallway signs to identify internal stairway exit. The only marked alternative was the fire exit. After dangerously climbing down the fire exit from the third floor and 2 meter drop to the ground I found the exits padlocked from the outside. A deathtrap in event of actual emergency. The TV did not function correctly. No refrigerator or safe box in room. My valuable were stored for 'safety' in a taped envelope in an unsecured desk drawer in the lobby accessible by anyone. Overall, not a good experience.

Great stay in Legazpi”
This is a nice clean hotel in the center of Legazpi. There are many dining and shopping options nearby, as well. And while the wifi in the Philippines tends to be slow and unstable, I actually got a fairly consistent connection here. The only issue we ran into was that we lost all water pressure at one point. When it eventually did come back about 30 minutes later, it was red rusty water for the rest of the night. Running the faucets for a while reduced it, but it never completely went away. Breakfast isn't nearly as bad as other reviewers have claimed. Ours included a buffet of rice, fried fish, scrambled eggs, toast, congee, fruits, and a variety of coffee/teas. For a complimentary breakfast, I had no complaints. I would recommend this hotel.

Weak Wifi ”
I cannot get any Wifi signal most of the times as it's weak. it's stronger in the lobby and everytime I have to go to the lobby to surf the net. I cannot get into YouTube and I need it for my young children. I told the staff but nothing was done to improve the WiFi in my room but I know it's not his fault. Anyway the staff has excellent customer service.

Great location but disappointing due to no wifi”
The hotel is new so the facilities are snazzy. Great location: near airport and in the town center itself (in fact Robinson's supermarket was just across!). My dilemma was there was no Wifi. It was posted online that they are equipped with such so it was disappointing. The frontdesk personnel apologized since they said they were currently experiencing a down system but they should have had another router/ any backup solution since most hotel-goers are busy people who aside from wanting to have leisure, still be able to do what they have to.

Good hotel”
A good choice, clean and somewhat modern rooms in a quiet side street behind Robinson´s supermarket. Quite expensive though for what it is. Only 2 floors are used as hotel. Easy transport as main road with all Jeepneys is just one short block away.
