Beautiful place and friendly service!”
The location is breath-taking! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back!
You get what you pay for”
It’s a very cheap place to stay and you get what you pay for. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind roughing it, it’s ok. However, we were woken up at 3:30am to a rat running around our room! There isn’t much keeping critters out of the huts and the bathrooms were VERY basic and kind of scary to use. WiFi worked well and they do offer sup boards and firefly tours.
Worst value for money ever..!?”
I am not fussy - traveled to 60+ countries and stayed in some very basic places, have camped in jungle, hammock huts etc. This would possibly have been satisfactory value if a third of the price. Rat and insect infested, rotting huts with holes in walls and roof. Just going into the bathroom made me feel dirty! No furniture, shower broken, no toilet seat etc. Also got an electric shock from the bathroom light switch. Only redeeming factor the location by river, 25-30 min walk from main road.
Excellent Place and Great Staff”
We had 2 nights and this place is amazing. Real back to basics the staff are brilliant. This is excellent location for seeing fire flys. Would definitely go back.
Outside of the hut everything is beautiful, next to the river, you can see fireflies, the big problem is when you are inside the hut, everything is falling down, we step in the floor and there was a hole, if you have issues with bugs this is not your pleace, we had a rat inside, walking all over the hut in the night, bathroom.. well you dont want to go in there...In the night when we were sleeping something walk in our heads.. the owner not friendly at all just one of the persons who help there was very nice.. i will not go back there, we went to a different place and it was so much better..
Beautiful jungle accommodation with friendly locals and good food ”
We loved spending a night in this hut. The location itself is worth the trip in the middle of the jungle next to the river. Super quiet at night you can even see fireflies around the hut or rent a kayak/sup for a proper tour. Really cheap and good simple restaurant. Highly recommended!!!
Nice although a little bit out of shape place”
We really liked our hut and hammocks in front of it, the bathroom was a little bit raw but it had all the necessary functions so we were good with it. There are big holes in the ceilling though, so everything can get in. My friends backpack was attacked by some animal and we woke up to this ,,thing" trying to climb our bed. All in all we were refunded for one night but a little bit upset about the whole situation. Besides this its a nice place uf you like being surrounded by nature. You can easily rent a scooter or go firefly watching.
Nice but to expensive ”
Place is nice but is too expensive for really basics bungalow. Food and activities a really expensive as well (800 pesos for paddle/h).
In the jungle ”
We loved staying here for a night. It’s rustic and cheap, we had a swim in the river at sun rise surrounded by jungle sounds. If you’re a city slickers who like a frappuccino in the morning and doesn’t like ants, this isn’t your spot. We had a bike so 5mins to the town but would be a long walk without. If you have a local globe sim, you can tether for WiFi.
The place is cheap, and right next to the river. It was an adventurous stay (in a good way). Some cons were the extra-slow wifi, ants and mosquitos. But in general is ok for a night's stay.
Nice remote place, simple bungalows but great. Dont expect any luxury (especially bathroom) but more of an adventure;) and its little bit far from main road so dont be afraid and keep on going on the road along the river.
It's a typical philippina's Nipa. Really nice !
Only to recommend if you want it really "basic" and even then not worth the money”
The room was ok with a double bed and a self-made mosquito net. Haven't been biten in two nights. But the toilets are more then basic. Bad smelling, not really cleaned up, only a "shower" and no sink or mirror. Taking a shower was really disgusting. The staff was Really nice and helpful. Rettung s scooter worked just fine.
Perfect spot if looking to stay in loboc”
If your a couple I recommend this spot. If looking to stay in loboc. Away from everything by a river this is the spot. Well manicured lawn and facilities. Nipa hut is nice inside comfortable bed.
Sleeping in the huts with adventure”
Greate idea to stay at Nipa Huts near Loboc. Very cheap.
We loved this hut! It's in the middle of the jungle, right by the Loboc River. When we got there we were blown away by how beautiful the surroundings were. So peaceful, and the staff are very friendly! They also hire scooters, paddle boards and kayaks. The hut was nice, comfy bed, mosquito net and a nice terrace with a hammoc. Only down side is the toilet, which is a squat type one. But we loved the place!
Pure nature !”
We booked with Agoda . they didn't known about our booking . They were full booked .. it doesn't matter if you booked with Agoda or not . So we'd just one option to stay in a crazy dorm ( alone ) but with wesps and other small animals . We're very easy going but this was unbelievable! We paid already on Agoda . We got a room next to the kitchen with cockroaches in . Anyway they gave us the 2nd night for free. The hotel is far away from restaurants. You need a bike . The bathroom very simple and looks like 200 years old . But the nature and the river really nice also it's just 45 min away from chocolate hills .
Nice and quiet place closed to the Loboc river ”
The huts are very basic, but good, with mosquito net and basic bathroom.
beautiful location, but could use some love”
can't wish for a better location. right at the back of the dirt road and really quiet ( apart of the rooster). great river access good for swimming ( strong current) and other water sports. yet organization of the whole place lacks on the basics. when we arrived he was allready over booked and we couldn't move in our hut and enjoy a hammok swing after a long day traveling. ( got a free breakfast for the inconvenience). huts are really gloomy, they are allright to sleep in but thats about it. seen it better for less money price seems low yet to expensive for what it offers. has to improve and will be a great leasure spot
Good location if you have a motorbike! Really cute little hut, but no shower! Sheets very clean. No food and need the motorbike to go to the restaurant!
