GREAT!”

My 3 days 2 nights stay at Nipah Bay Villa was amazing! The 6 of us booked 3 standard rooms (2 person per room) and our stay was great! The rooms were cozy and clean. Nipah Bay Villa was just merely a 3 minutes walk from the Nipah Beach & about 5-7 minutes walk from Coral Beach! You do not know what to do during your stay at Pangkor? Fret not, the staff here at Nipah Bay Villa gives great suggestions of what to do on and around the island & they give great deals for the activities too! Not to mention, they are super friendly! Breakfast here was a great value of what you pay for too! Thank you, Nipah Bay Villa! Excellent value of money, amazing location, high cleanliness, super friendly and warm staff! Enjoyed my stay here.

Value For Money”

Easy Access, Convenient, Friendly Staff

I've promise Wan(Staff/Receptionist) that I will give a good review for Nipah Bay Villa. So Wan, I hope you're reading this. Here we go! I booked 2 Standard and 1 Deluxe Chalet, but I was given 2 Deluxe Chalet and 1 Standard with no extra fee. I called before and request if they can accommodate this 3 Chalet nearby to each other, and they really put an effort to make sure we got things we needs with no extra payment! However, I'm quite upset with the Standard Chalet as it located in front of the cafe. I have to close the door so the food smell/smoke wont go to the room. There's no privacy as there's a lot of people in front of our standard chalet and I can't even slide the curtain as people will see us, the air ventilation is not so good there and I can't even open my window as it's lock. Here's come the good part! I went to Wan and asked if we can change room, unfortunate for us that we are not able to change it on the first night as they are fully booked. Wan really apologize and say that he would change the room for us if they are not fully booked, and he even dun have a gut to asked us to change to the economy room even there's a availability for this kind of room. He said that he and Villa Bay don't want us to feel very uncomfortable and will change to other Standard Chalet first thing in the morning the next day. Again, with NO extra charge. We even almost forget that we have a deal to change the room, till one of the receptionist asked us, when we want to change the room. I feel so much better after changing the room and the customer service is very good for 2 star hotel. Maybe can be better, but we are satisfied. The 3 chalet literally 2 second away, and it's clean and smell good! The location is nearby to everything! 5 min walking distance from the clean blue-ish/green-ish beach and a lot of cheap restaurant is there, there's a mini market.. karaoke..burger stalls.. souvenir shops..everything! I will definitely come back here..!

Basic, homely with friendly staff”

comfortable bed, ideal location, friendly staff, buffet breakfast, cheap, affordable

stayed for 2 nights at nipah bay villa recently. a very basic place which reflects the price really. staff are very friendly and always smiling and willing to help. rooms are comfortable with basic ammenities like hot shower and television although the telly is leeched from somewhere. toilet is very basic so do not expect much. my only peeve is the lack of wifi connection in the villas which was a pity. the passwords they provided did not work and i had to leech from some other network around the area at the lobby. but if you wish to be off the grid and could not care less about the wifi then this is the place for you. a stone's throw away from the beach with a street lined with food stalls, souvenirs and what-nots. they have buffet breakfast for rm10 if i remember correctly. bike rentals for 24 hours is rm20 which is perfect considering the fact that the pink taxis charge rm10-15 per trip. overall a pleasant stay. would definitely choose this hotel should i return to pangkor.

Good price with strategic location & good service”

Moderate facilities

i like this hotel because of location in nipah bay (the most suitable location for sight seeing, boating, swimming, jet skiing, snorkeling and short trip to nearby islands). this hotel offered basic facilities but its clean and i'm more than happy with their service and hospitality. i rented single storey family type chalet like semi-d type house with my own access (stair) without sharing. chalet equipped with clean beds, split unit ac, hot water + cupboard but without fridge. they offered two wifi router for free internet for 24hours. we rented motorcycle for rm40 per day. the nearby area quite happening where we can easily get the taxis, restaurants and stalls for breakfast, lunch and dinner for only 5 min walk. overall we are happy with this hotel and nothing much to complain during our stay for this time.

nice location, near to beach. easy to find food around.easy to get taxi to go around pangkor.

I have stay in Nipah Bay for 2 nights for 2 persons. This hotel is near to beach, about 5mins walk.so,easier to do beach activities and also easy to get taxi to go around Pangkor. But the economy room that we stay is quite small. No wifi access. no iron provided near to room, need to go down near the receptionist to iron.overall, this hotel is good for a short and budget vacation.

Worth it ”

The villa is actually worth it with the cheap amounts that we had paid. The room have small fridge, aircond, 2 plug points (one each on every side of the bed even mine was broken) quite big bathroom with heater and television that even have Astro’s channels. Location is very strategic in the mid of Teluk Nipah. Walking distance to the beach ( i think Telok Nipah is the most active beach in Pangkor), probably around 3minutes. Near with groceries shops and restaurants. The receptionist can also help to call the taxy to go back to the jetty. Everything was a smooth journey with them. Worth it.

A little slice of Paradise!”

Owner Matt, graciousness; location, 5 minutes to beach; service.

Matt the owner is friendly.I loved the area and people.Motorbikes to rent to get around the Island-not cheap, paid 40 ringgits.Cheaper Internet Cafe downtown. The water is NOT crystal clear like I thought it would be for snorkeling-Throwing of trash all over is accepted.Spent 2 hours one day after renting a boat ride to go over to Coral Beach Island to snorkel picking up discarded trash in the sea & on the beach;large groups of tourists are brought over to eat and they leave their trash all over.Apparently the Malaysians are not taught to pick up after themselves & the damage this causes to fish and the environment.I only saw a few small Tiger fish while snorkeling in the cloudy water. There are some "regulars" who stay long months at this Nipa Bay Villa place and one(Yazzi)is known as the gossip "Court Jester" of the place, admittedly not mentally stable, very rude, will interrupt all conversations & a definite negative fact of this Villa home-like/family establishment. One man (Sukai)caught some Squid and we had a "family" dinner one night that was absolutely delicious, prepared by Matt and staff! Taking the good & negative of any dysfunctional family atmosphere! All else this place has a great deal going for it in simplicity, location and authenticity- mountain top place near the beach & little islands. On weekends when mainlanders come from K.L.,Karaoke machines blare from all the other local establishments.I loved my 3rd story Tower Room & would not have wanted to be down in one of the Villas as people have to wind around walk-ways to get in & around the complex would be heard if you were inside any of those Villas. Only mischievous monkeys on the balcony and roof every day to try to steal things left out and ferret for food.Smoking allowed throughout these places in all of Malaysia!Drug addicts remain the same no matter where you go when there is not an enforced smoking ban in place!I tipped a great deal in cash to all employees and most appreciated it.

WORTH OF MONEY”

from tbs we took transnasional bus to lumut jetty. once we reached lumut jetty we straight out and there are several agent to kacau u book motorcycle and etc. so we decided to rent a bike and it's worth it. he gave us a map to go to nipah bay villa. once we reached our villa. the reception greet us very well. and showed us our room. moreover, teluk nipah beach is just walking distance from our villa (2 minutes). there's a lot of souvenirs shop that sell t-shirt, key chain, towel and etc. For food nearby villa averall okay but a bit dissappointed bcs they out of 'seafood' since they are nearer to beach but that's not a problem to us. for snorkeling, go for SF. They are the best.

Good Price, Familiar with Foreign Travelers, Close to beach

Staying in the chalet for 3 nights was just fine. It wasn't perfect but everything in the room worked and it was clean when we moved in. The breakfast at Nipah Bay was okay. There was no real variety, but I could eat all the toast and eggs I wanted. For the most part the staff was friendly and attentive, but we had no real issues with anything. Great place to stay for a few days on Pangkor if you pick the chalets.

Convenient hotel”

Cheaper and near beach walking distance

1. Hotel easily found on location beach pantai Teluk Nipah, not far from Pangkor town area and Beach pantai Pasir Bogak just around few km distance. 2. Environment clean and tidy up. 3. Surrounding easy getting dinner with fish roasted restaurant. 4. Hotel staff also always smile and check in and check out with very super fast process the request. 5. Toilet lighting is not so brightness enough but in side room more enough ok. 6. Air conditional os pretty cool but just when sleeping time can hear little of sound of compressor. 7. Hotel rate is very cheap and excellent good for backpack travel or self travel good value on money. 8. As mention above location very near to beach with walking distance but beach side sport equipment safety need to improve more exspecially boat when landing close to beach.

Just ok”

nice staff, that's all..

We stayed for 10 nights in November. The staff are super friendly and helpful which is always nice. The chalet was a bit old but well looked after. It had a strange smell in it which was not very nice. The air con was old and very noisy and not even my ear plugs kept the noise out. Also some of the staff would watch telly really loud late in the evening which was next to our chalet. That was not very nice when we were trying to get some sleep. We also had some problems with pur room not beeing cleaned. It was probably a missunderstanding but ur room didn't get cleaned for 5 days and when we asked about it it got cleaned very nicely. Then it didn't get cleaned again so we had to ask again. I don't think one should have to ask twice. The owners felt really bad about this missunderstanding though and the room got cleaned very nicely onwards, but make sure you tell them you want your room cleaned. The resort is well looked after and it's about 10 minutes walk to Coral Beach which is a nice beach. Nipah Bay is the place to stay if you're on Pangkor Island since the other beaches are not as nice. We loved Pangkor since it's such a nice island with friendly people, good restaurants (especially Daddy's Café on Coral Beach) and laid back. The island is quite small so rent a motorbike and go around. I'd say there are better places to stay on the island than Nipah Bay Villa

Comfortable accomodation!”

Comfortable lodging with privacy

The stay at Nipah Bay deluxe chalet is definitely much more comfortable and offers more privacy than deluxe terrace. The terrace unit while having the same amenities is pretty noisy and one can practically hears all the noise of your neighbouring chalets as the chalets are made from wood. Nipah Bay Villa is very near to the beach where there's quite a fair bit of water sport activities such as kayaking, jet ski, banana boat ride, snorkelling excursions etc. Swimming is pretty safe too as the beach is situated within a bay and sheltered by the surrounding small islands and the gradien of the sea bed is gentle. The teenagers enjoyed these activities very much. There are some eateries stalls around but the food is just so-so! One can take a pink taxi ride to Pangkor town for some seafood. Overall, Pangkor is okay for a short stay to relax.

Charming & Clean Chalet”

The chalet was charming & clean. Service from the staff was also good.

a great place to stay at pangkoh island. location is a couple of minutes to the beach. i walked across to coral bay on the last day and found the beach much cleaner and some other good dinner options there. if we returned we would still stay at nipah bay but walk over to coral bay more often as it's a nicer, cleaner beach. i have to mention the bed was very hard and a kettle in the chalet would of been handy but really nothing much to grumble about.

Excellent”

The staff were so kind and helpful. My main problem was just the location, but, not the location of the Nipah Bay Villa. After just 1 or 2 minutes, you can reach the beach, but the beach is so crowded. There are many boats and Kayaks and.... You can not have a rest in this beach. Meanwhile, you must be worried about them. A little bit far from this area, you can find a nice place with less boats. It just needs 5 minutes walking on sands to reach a better place to rest. My family and I stayed there for three days. The first two days, the sea was not so clear but in the third day, there was an awesome blue water. I suggest to everyone to go to this island not in holidays.

Great Hotel & Location but Messed up Reservation”

Beautiful rooms, great service, good location

easy place to get to on pangkor, only a one minute walk to the beach. in a quiet area, the place has a semi-decent restaurant, but there are better in the area. originally booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. whoever reserved the room on their end only reserved 1 room for 1 night and then told us we had to pay more, but once they called agoda, everything was straightened out without much hassle. very good customer service.

Recommended!”

Location, friendly, comfort

We just spent 2 weeks at Nipah Villa with no regret, situated at less then 5 minutes from the nicest beach. On arrival we upgraded with a balcony and it was perfect. The owner is open to any suggestion and has a good thinking by saying : "If something goes wrong tell me, at the place of complaining on line" I think he is right. He is keeping the maintenance updated. The place was clean, we had a large comfortable bed with regular change & cleaning, a good hot shower, TV, wifi, AC.....smile & hellos.. There is a morning breakfast buffet, all you can eat for 10MYR, a menu for lunch & dinner at a reasonable price. Nothing more to ask than just enjoying your stay. From the ferry (2nd stop from Lumut) you take a pink van (15MYR for the ride/flat rate, 1 way)

old hotel-not in best conditions-very nice staff”

the staff was really friendly and it was very close to the beach

it seemed to me like nipah bay villa is one of the oldest locations on this crowed island. i stayed in the main house where everything was somewhat run down. the room was not really clean and the towels and linen were dirty. after complaing this, i received new towels and linen. i liked the rooftop café where you had a great view on the sea - even if it was closed during my stay. but it was possible to take drinks from downstairs up there and enjoy the view. the staff was very helpful and the breakfast (not included) as well as the drinks were very good. i guess nipah bay villa was once a lovely place to stay, but its best time might be over....
