Yes but...”
I've got mixed feelings from Nirvana Archipel, before I arrived I contacted through WhatsApp twice the owner to ask for advice on how to reach the hotel from Vang Vieng, as it is 30 minutes drive from there and then 10 min walk from a very small village. I could see that my messages were read but I got no answer at all. Then the hotel, it's pretty nice, good comfort, clean, beautiful, very good value for money. The owner despite his unresponsiveness, turned out to be very friendly and does a great work rescuing will let animals. But... food is pricey and small portions. You need to order at least two dishes. The lake (we kayaked) was quite disappointing, barely any fauna, lots of plastic everywhere, and unimpressive landscape. I know this is not the hotel's fault, but you feel trapped in the hotel as there are no bikes to rent and he doesn't facilitate any help to leave the premises (so you have to eat there, I suppose?). So after two nights you've done everything you can do in there.

Could have been perfect, but...”
...we knew it wouldn't be easy to get to a "real" Nirvana. The location is so nice, directly by the lake, surrounded by many trees. Wooden bungalows, simple but cosy and with terrasse. Simple but sufficient bathroom. We didn't search for luxury but for some quiet days in the nature, so the circumstances could have been great! Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. The great pizza promised to us in other reviews didn't exist, nor did breakfast or lunch (nobody there who could cook). So we had to go to Sanctuary nearby (amazing food) or to the upper bungalows run by a nice lady (food ok but not spectacular). There also was no possibility to join an advertised "Boat tour with BBQ". The owners are friendly but somehow a bit indifferent (as long as the customers are not French ;)) so we felt a bit "forgotten". The resort itself lacks some tidyness, it's all a bit too "laissez-faire" for our taste. But a nice plus: The owners take really good care for their animals! We loved Bouba bear!

Good but too expensive for me”
The place is good but a little bit too expensive for what it is. Te room is clean but is very simple and I found it a little bit expensive for a room without climatisation (just a fan), without WiFi in it and without breakfast included. The owner is really nice and gives very good advices. The place is nice and very quiet so if you are looking for some tranquility that’s the good place. There is one kayak at disposition if it is not used by another client of the hotel. That’s the only “activity”. There is a restaurant but we found it a little bit expensive too and there is not really another place to go to eat so you are kind of “stuck” there.

Hidden gem on your way from Vang Vieng to Vientiane”
What a surprise to discover this very nature friendly hotel facing this beautiful lake. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Also Very impressed by the animals sanctuary that the owner has managed to build over the years to protect them from trafficking. I definitely recommend this place to any type of traveler!

The owner rescues animals ( a bear, monkeys...) he take us to a island where he has more monkeys he feed once a day. He told us a lot of the animals, it's a great thing he does. You can do many things there. Drive around with a motorbike, nice view over the lake. Or you can rent a jetski to drive over the lake...

Noisy all night. Bedroom turned to a pub. We need to check out at the middle of the night and find new room nearby. Staffs seems to care nothing. Maybe we are wrong chooses this resort. Not recommend at all.

superbe endroit au calme zu bord du lac”
Il y a 2 niveaux de bungalows, standard et de luxe riverfront. Pour notre part, nous aions opté pour un bungalow standard. Nous dirons plutôt "basic". Un joli bungalow sur pilotis avec petit balcon, juste à l'arrière de la magnifique maison du propriétaire. Nous avions une vue sur un petit bras du lac. Mais c'est du basic, pas de lit mzis un matelas au sol. Petit Petit-déjeuner tres sommaire également. Mais l'endroit est calme et reposant sauf les moteur des pirogues des pecheurs qui font un bruit terrible. Il est possible de louer un canoë pour une balade sur le lac immense. Si vous possedez un moyen de locomotion (scooter) voys pourrez découvrir une route peu fréquentée qui longe le lac. Le propriétaire de l'hôtel est un passionné d'animaux qu'il recueil pour soigner. Si vous avez de la chance vous pourrez voir l'ours, un chat sauvage, une civette, des paons, des gibons ou un aigle. Une fois soigné les animeaux sont relâchés dans la nature.

Fantastique”
Christophe a été un hôte incroyable, accompagné de son acolyte richard tout aussi sympathique : ils ont énormément d'histoires à raconter ! Outre l'aspect humain, la dévotion de Christophe pour ses animaux (sauvages ou non) est admirable, et nous avons pu passer de très bons moment avec eux (Booba, les chouettes, les singes, le petit chat sauvage, Voyou le chat et Asian la chienne nous manqueront...). Ps : le coin dodo était vraiment confortable et très propre !

Sollte grad geschlossen sein”
Wir haben uns 11 Tage über Weihnachten hier eingebucht um mal runter zu kommen und uns zu entspannen. Leider war das nicht wirklich möglich. Vorneweg möchte ich sagen, der Besitzer Kiyom war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend und hat sich auch wirklich viel Mühe gegeben. Aber man lockt einfach nicht die Menschen hier hin und entschuldigt sich dann im Nachhinein für alles. Alles in allem eine wirklich enttäuschende Erfahrung. Das Resort müsste eigentlich grade geschlossen sein aber das steht nirgendwo. Sie nehmen aber trotzdem Kunden an und leben lieber damit, dass die dann enttäuscht sind. Wir waren in den 11 Tagen fast alleine da. Es gibt kein Restaurant und somit waren wir gezwungen in das unverschämt teure (3x so viel) Restaurant vom französischen Resort daneben zu gehen welches mittelmäßiges Essen serviert oder 30 min in den Ort hin und zurück zu laufen um auch dort nicht wirklich gutes Essen zu bekommen. Nichts von alle dem steht in der Beschreibung des Resorts. Warum wohl nicht… Das gesamte resort war wirklich runtergekommen. Das Bad hat gestunken, der Wasserhahn ging nicht. Überall waren Ameisen. An der geschlossenen Bar waren überall Bretter im Boden lose und vermodert wo man sich hätte verletzen können. Für Kinder wirklich ungeeignet. Als Frühstück gab es jeden Tag Spiegeleier mit schlechtem Baguette oder Toast. Am letzten Tag hat das Brot geschimmelt… Der Raum und das Bett waren an sich schon gut. Für 30€/Nacht erwartet man aber deutlich mehr. Ich kann wirklich niemandem empfehlen hier hin zu kommen. Der See ist zwar echt schön, aber die Fischer haben ihre Boote frisiert und es klingt jedes Mal so als würde ein Hubschrauber landen. Ca 100-200 Mal am Tag und auch Nachts. Es gibt viele andere schöne Orte auf dieser Welt, wo man sich nicht die ganze Zeit verbracht fühlt.

Einfache Unterkunft im schönem Garten. Bezitzer Christov, ein Tierfreund, unterhaltet ein Zoogarten für bedrohte Tiere. Sogar beherbergt er einen Kragenbär. Ende Nam Ngum See ist großartige Landschaft.

Standard Bungalows sind einfach (dem Preis entsprechend) aber sehr sauber. Stimmung ist hier familiär und sympatisch. Christophe, der sympatische Inhaber, kümmert sich neben einem Kragenbären um verletzte Tiere, welche er nach Möglichkeit wieder aussetzt. Ist alles zu besichtigen.

ทางเข้าที่พักเป็นทางลูกลัง ไม่ค่อยสะดวกเท่าไหร่ แต่เข้าไปถึงที่พักแล้วจะประทับใจ สภาพแวดล้อมเป็นธรรมชาติมากๆ คนดูแลเป็นชาวต่างชาติ บริการดีมากๆ ห้องพักเป็นบ้านไม้ สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบ อาหารมีแต่พิซซ่า หรือใครจะสั่งอย่างอื่นก็ได้ (มั้ง) โดยรวมถือว่าคุ้มกับเงินที่จ่าย

ไม่ได้เข้าพัก เนื่องจากไกลจากตัวเมืองวังเวียงเกือบ 20 กิโล จองเพราะเห็นเขียนว่าใกล้ blue lagoon พอมาถึงปรากฏว่าเป็นคนละ blue lagoon กับที่เป็นไฮไลท์ของวังเวียง คือในลาวส่วนใหญ่จะเรียกแอ่งน้ำว่า blue lagoon หมด ซึ่งเป็นที่สับสนสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวทั่วไปมากให้คะแนนน้อยเพราะข้อมูลไม่ชัดเจน ไกล และคืนห้องไม่ได้ เสียค่าที่พักฟรีไป2คืน
