Location rating score
Room and facilities were clean and well maintained, cleaning ladies and restaurant staff were friendly (friendlier than the receptionist though).

This was my first visit to Koh Payam and found it to be a haven away from the madness of the resorts south of here. Just a short ferry ride from Ranong ( no cars allowed ) it is such a different and peaceful place. As a solo traveler, I booked Nitiporn because of closeness to the Pier. It is a short walk through the village, over a foot bridge and to a much more secluded beach (next to the beautiful and very pricey) Blue Sky Resort. My budget option was a fan only bungalow, but just steps from the beach it was perfect! A small restaurant serves great food and drinks but there are very many other choices on the Island. Most visitors rent Motor bikes, but motor cycle taxis are fairy cheap to the other Beaches- a must see while on the Island.
Great place Great staff very kind, helpful!!! I want to go back to nitiporn”
We made canew for free in a great place, people always smiling, here to help, many services proposals! I recommend for sure!!.. if I come back to Koh phayam... I will go back to nitiporn...
Worth every penny you spent!”
We arrived at Kho Phayam around 11:45AM, and we just took a 15 minute walk to Nitiporn Bungalow. We were impressed by the location where it was located privately on Mae Mai bay, next to Blue Sky Resort. We did not have to rent a motorcycle on the first day as everything was close enough for us to just take a walk. Then the second day we rent a motorbike to explore another side of this island. Overall, I really recommend this place for your stay. Oh, I forgot this hotel will shut off the electricity from 10AM-6PM, but it's not a problem for us. You should bring power bank with you because your phone may not have enough power till the end of the day.
comfortable room in an amazing location. Koh Phayam is a natural wonder of an island. Very nice beach in front of the hotel and conveniently close to the ferry pier. I hope I get to go back there soon.
"Would I recommend this hotel to a friend?" asks Agoda”
"Would I recommend this hotel to a friend?" asks Agoda. Only to my Chinese tour bus friends. Not a bad place overall, but most of the problem lies with what Koh Phayam has become. Room looks nice, can't really fault it other than the lack of sound insolation. You can hear your Chinese neighbours hacking and spitting in the morning. But resort has no soul. No warm water because we "only had a standard room". No electric tea kettle that's shown in the photos of the room. Receptionist had no autonomy. Easy to get to from the pier, just a short walk, but you'll need a motorbike to go anywhere else. Beach wasn't amazing, much better around the island. Long Beach is where it's at. Good breakfast at Sabai Sabai next door, but a bit expensive for Thailand. Good cheap food at Sea View restaurant (down the road past the hotel and up the hill).
Even Better than my first stay!”
This was my second stay at Nitiporn and over the rainy season a reno was completed on the Bungalows - now fesh and even better than before. A new swimming pool was also added and the same value pricing still exists. Very conviently located on the pier side with lots of motorcycle transport to the other beaches. Free use of kayaks is great! Staff were friendly and very attentive.
Everything was fine with the room, was very warm in April and air conditioning was an additional 2000 baht a night which is typical for Koh Phayam.
Overall OK bungalow ”
Overall it was an OK stay in Nitiporn. + it's location (5 min walk to the pier, taxi and restaurants). you can even swim on the bungalow's beach because water is clean there + nescafe/toast in the morning (our reservation was with no breakfast included, so somehow it was for free to us) + quietness of an area - you fell yourself like living right on the beach + you can borrow a kayak (with a life vests) in Nitiporn which is just great + free wi-fi - a do-it-yourself toilet flush - not very very thick walls - frequent electricity shut-downs at the daytime (but it's probably a problem of the whole island) - you need to ask to clean your room - cold water in a shower (which is not a big problem during a high season's heat)
New bungalows, weird management”
I stayed in this resort for 3 nights during my trip in Koh Phayam. Resort is newly built and location is nice, next to a quality restaurant (restaurant has a decent wifi if you need an internet connection). Wifi in the room is unusable and it is not working at all during the day when electricity is cut off. The resort only has electricity from 6pm until early morning. The staff kept on cutting the water for some reason so every time I had to use water I had to ask for them to turn it on. That was quite annoying after a while. The staff are burmese and communication was challenging. They are nice and friendly people but most of the time they are quite clueless.
Good value bungalows”
Nitiporn is located close to pier but still retains its sense of privacy.situated with beach frontage, it ticks all the boxes in terms of peace and solitude. Restaurant was expensive and cook a bit surly. Staff on reception made up for this in terms of changing my room when there was a water shortage problem.
Friendly staffs and good location ”
Warm welcoming with the friendly staffs and they could suggest us about the places which we would like to go. They also have lovely local shuttle car for transferring us from port to resort. Actually, the resort is not far from the port, so it was not taking much time when we went back to the port at the next morning. The motorbike rental is also available here! The room was so tidy and ok for 5 persons as families room type. All facilities in the room was ok when we stayed. Except, the rain shower was broken and also no hair dryer.
Kho Phayam is still virgin: no road, electricity/internet deficience, no restaurants/bars... This hotel is one of the best considering the global situation of this island...
Island fully booked, last available bungalow. ”
Newly built bungalows near the pier in Koh Phayam. Cold water shower, spacious room. Only some coffee and toast for breakfast.
Bungalow directly at the beach ”
We booked a bungalow- was really cheap because it was a promotion on agoda. It is really close to the pier and the resort has a own beach access. The stuff is very friendly but the opening hour is only until 4 pm. They have a own cheap laundry.
Great place, foods and staff”
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Fantastic Foods and drinks. Nice beach and location( close to the pier and blue sky resort) 24 hours electricity but weak wifi signal
Relax in a quiete hotel in front of the beach”
Everything was good , the room is ok for the price we pay and compared to other offer with same price that have more older accomodation. The beach and the area is perfect for move around the island. It is the more quite area.
Great potential, some tweaks would make it perfect ”
Nice location walking distance from pier. Not the best beach but with a motorbike you can go anywhere. We stayed in fan room, clean overall and good size BUT many roaches in bathroom every evening. Fan room gets very hot, had to keep windows open all night to create some air circulation. no mini fridge , having one would have been great. Nice views. Pool ok to dip in but not really cleaned / maintened. easy to fix. Good coffee shop, not open often in low/shoulder season. Friendly staff. Room in cleaned on demand. Paper toilet and water left every day on you balcony if cleaning not requested.
Very nice place and very good service”
Staff is nice and welcome. The room is nice and clean. Pool is next to the beach. But the food is not that good. The rest is fantastic! Recommend to stay here.
Great view & good accommodation”
Room is quite new and chic decoration. Smelly toilet, should install ventilators. Greate view , clean beach & near pier. Recommend for fresh roasted coffee.
Nearby pier and beach”
Lovely staff and nice, clean and functional rooms. Walk to the beach and all other beaches are a short motorcycle trip away.
