Great Apartment Very friendly Staff”
upon arriving we were welcomed with delicious welcome fruit shakes. the staff are so wonderful and friendly. this is a great apartment to stay at. the apartment was clean and spacious. the kitchen has a fridge, cooking pans, a rice cooker and plates cups and utensils. there is air conditioning and there is cable television. niu ohana even has there own beach bar right on site where you can have everything from a drink to a delicious breakfast lunch or dinner. we enjoyed many meals from the great chefs of niu ohana. the pizza from niu ohana is delicious. they even deliver late at night. on one occasion i ordered breakfast and the staff delivered it to my room so i could enjoy a great breakfast with my companion. the property is located right on the beach so i was able to enjoy some great beach time. also you are only a short walk away from white’s beach. you are also not far from the nightlife. i very much enjoyed my 3 week stay here rather than just booking a hotel room. you have much more room to relax and it was quiet and you get such great service. all you have to do is ask the staff and they are very helpful and making your stay here at the niu ohana east bay apartments a memorable one.

value for money but some disappointment”
Let me start with the good things. location is perfect for surfers, with storage facility for kites. But for swimmers, divers and snorkeling travelers, it is the wrong side of the island meaning you have to walk 10-15 minutes to any of such activities in swimming clothes and still facing the issue of how to store your things such as towels, sunglasses in the other side of the beach while you are in water. Room is quite large, over 40 m2 which is the main reason of my choice. Quite in the evening, no party activity on bulabog beach, which we liked. And the room is clean as picture shows. A few disappointment vs agoda listing: first there is no in-room safe despite Agoda listed it. Then there is no wifi in the room. Only wifi available is at the reception and they also take down the server after 10PM. 6 apartments are all in the ground floor next to each other. Room 1 is closest to the reception and is close enough to use the wifi at the reception in the room, but when we were there, the shower is totally broke so we have to change to room 2 which has only very weak wifi from the reception. possible to surf internet, but no way for streaming. there is no view for all rooms. the balconey is facing a plastic wall and construction building. and this beach is constantly very windy, excellent for surfers, but make it uninteresting to stay in such a balconey with sands keep on blowing towards you. Air-con is good though, quite effective and also low noise. bed is a bit hard for us but i guess this is the standard in Philippines. TV is good, 73 channels with a lot of English channels you can think of. Apart from the disappointment of wifi and balconey, it is still value for money in this hotel. i am not sure i can get better places with such price. Breakfast is a bit pricy by the way.

We Discovered the Worst Smell Ever”
Niu Ohana would be a nice enough hotel at maybe half the price we paid. The staff are pleasant and definitely helpful. We stayed in the quad apartment with two rooms, which while clean, was somewhat run down. There is a problem with the lock on the room door, so throughout our two-night stay, we had to have a member of staff unlock the door for us when we returned to our room. However, the worst thing of all, which quite honestly spoiled what would otherwise have been a pleasant stay, was the absolutely rank smell coming from all the drains in the bathroom. I am not a squeamish traveler and have stayed in many very low budget, and low quality accommodations, but I have never had to live with a smell like that. It literally made us all retch on opening the door to the room, and we had to exit and leave doors and windows open for some minutes before we could actually go inside. We were not able to change rooms as ours was the only unoccupied quad, so we lived with it, but it was bad.

Happy stay, relaxing and comfortable”
The location is great. Within 10 mins relaxing slow walk then we can arrive D'mall. Every night we look forward to return to quite peaceful beach after having dinner at the crowded busy front beach. For me it's a little windy during stay in late January but my friend loves it so much. He is so addicted to the windy balcony!! He has to go out to the balcony to enjoyed the strong wind day and night! But one chair was kind of broken at the balcony, I forgot to mention to the staff. Hope they will notice and fix it before some other customer fell down... The kitchen is good enough to make simple meal. FYI, supermarket is near if you also would like to buy and cook in the room. Bed is comfortable. Wifi, shower, air con work well. We are happy with the breakfast. Pancake is yummy. Staff are all friendly with sincere smile all the time and they are very helpful!! If I am going to Boracay again, I would choose this hotel again!!

Great Beach Holiday”
My friend and I stayed in the Apartments for 4 days and it was everything we imagined it to be. The apartment was fairly sized and the kitchen appliances were well-maintained. Beach is located near many attractions. We loved cooking in the apartments, everything was well-kept.

Good Apartment, Silent Area”
On the one hand difficult to find at the beginning because only available true the beach side. On the other hand a good place. Silent compared to the other side of the island and you reach the "city center" in around 5 minutes walk. Everything is really convenient to reach. Staff was friendly, nice and always willing to help. We recommend it for everybody who would like to have an apartment, silent area and be close to the place to be. Fridge and everything what you need for a basic household is in the apartment. The only annoying point is the old air-condition because it's a bit loud.

Made our stay in Boracay stress-free!”
It's on the other side of the busy part of Boracay so you have to walk a few mins to go across but it's not a problem at all. It's also the kite surfing side if you're into that. It's peaceful in the morning and at night. Food is great too! Accommodating staff as well!

Great rooms but surrounding environment ”
Good location but surrounding environment is under construction. 2 mins walk to the centre of the beach. Kiters would prefer an area of lawn for packing kites.

For Kite surfers only!!”
There are only 4 appartments and which are accessible only by walking along the beach (no lighting at night). They are not uxuriously appointed as stated unless a sequined mosquito net over the bed is your idea of luxury. The furnishings are at least 30 - 40 years old bar he flat screen TV and aircon. the shower provides warm water for 2 minutes and then requires resetting, the restaurant which is really there to cater for kite surfers on the beach closes at 6pm, the staff have limited english and my room was cleaned 3 times in one week despite leaving a "please make up my room" sign on the door each day. This location is truly for the kite surfing fanatics or people who like strong winds blowing sand in their face. I suggest others avoid it and stick to the vast array of hotels and appartments on white beach.

Was ok. But the suite said partial ocean views. Our suite faced the side of a building. And if you went outside you faced the laundry of the managers suite. Unit was decent size. Good location on beach. Restaurant was a bit pricey with average food. There were so many mosquitoes in the suite, my son probably got 100 plus bites. I would kill about 10-15 a day and they would keep coming. Never ending.

Nice Hotel, needs maintainance”
This was our third stay. The Appartments are fully equipped (kitchen etc), thats a pro. Somebody is telling us, this place is going to close soon, which is the reason, for some maintainance undone.
