state of the art resort ”
We stayed 5 nights during a bit stormy week (india/sri lanka stom) with a little sun and lots of rain (rare for Maldives). However, there was always something to do in the resort. We never got bored. Everyday we had a chance to snorkel out of our water studio (free gear), using the gym (free), using the entertainment room (mostly free), windsurfing (free), kayaking (free), sailing (charge), … lots to mention with charge. If you have nothing to do, you can relax in any corner of the island. Pool area set up is great to spend ½ of your time if u have nothing to do. Your room has an iPad & Bose system to play your own music out of your iPod or iPhone. The room complementary Nespresso coffee, ice-cream, & snack is good enough supply for each day. Room fragrance is always available & even mosquitoes spray is provided in the room. The staff keeps spoiling you throughout the day and night with name recognition & greetings. All staff has a mobile and reachable with a unique mobile internal system to get answer from any one you have asked earlier for a tip or service. All were friendly starting from your own room assistant all the way to the resort general manager. Chef also treat you personally when u having your meals. Service is excellent in all aspects. The food was decent with many choices. We liked room service a lot. Prices are reasonable for a 5 star resort. Resort water sport center and boats are all new and highly equipped. The state of the art ocean bar, restaurant & nightclub is another experience by its own. It is a must experience and need boat transportation (500 meters away). You also can adopt a coral under marine program to save the reefs. The only thing is the scenery 45 minutes flight to the resort and might be expensive. Definitely we will come back to Niyama Maldives in our future Maldives visit.

i just returned from my most memorable holiday at niyama. it was a holiday which will not be easy to forget. i proposed to my gf during my stay and everything else - the room, the service and the food - complimented this beautiful memory. my gf and i stayed at the water villa with pool for 4 nights. this being our first trip to maldives, i was worried about how things would pan out. however, it turned out that i should not have worried one bit for we received vip treatment all the way. upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by a niyama representative and brought to wait for the seaplane at the niyama lounge. the lounge was well-equipped with drinks and snacks (chips, sandwiches). after a short wait, we were ushered to the seaplane to the resort paradise. the staff at the resort greeted us warmly and we got a buggy ride to our water villa. the room was spectacular. you can really trust the pictures that have been posted by the resort management in here. the pool was of a good size for lounging under the sun, the bed was very comfortable and the mini-bar was great too. rooms come equipped with a bose media player with lots of blockbusters all free of charge. the floors may have a very slight condensation at times but that is to expected when your balcony opens up to the indian ocean. the food was great too. we were on bed & breakfast and wished that we were on half-board. that is because food is a tad pricey there. but you do get what you pay for. seafood was always fresh and you always leave a meal happy. the staff at the resort deserves plaudits too for giving soul to this beautiful place. everyone greeted us warmly with a smile and was always willing to make our trip better. staff are able to strike a balance between being laid-back enough to have a chat yet attentive enough to our needs. niyama is truly highly recommended!

A Gem in Maldives that is second to none”
This has to be one of the most professional, exotic, dream destinations on the planet. The infrastructure, quality of workmanship along with landscaping and facilities blew my mind (usually i stay at St Regis,Niyama rated on par). We had a personal butler (i would like to call him PA) named Jusoof (hope specling is correct) Jusoof made the trip so amazing and no request was to difficult for him, no matter what we asked Jusoof could accommodate. All food establisments on the island have a massive wide range of tasteful delights (extremely fresh).. Even better was the choices for alcohol selection... was able to purchase 30 year macallan whiskey shots while smoking a cigar as the sun set (heaven) . Wife has Dom perignon ! Tribal restaurant is a must... the Service is top notch! Food was fanstastic! Tribal restaurant should be something expected in a big city be here it is in Niyama just mind blowing..ambiance food everything was just mind blowing..... Not the cheapest place in the world but have to say money well spent ! a definite bucket list place (but i do hope to go back) Do rent the jets for 1 hour with guide, took us to secluded sand dune ( the color of the water being turquiose will blow your mind as its heaven on earth) we saw dolphins, sharks, rays and sea turtles... the guide that we had made sure we would see so much and his hard efforts paid off.. ( this is done by Float team) hats off to the them....i can't compliment this place enough, you have to go and see for yourself.... The seaplane is part of the fun while not cheap well worth it...,45 minutes seems like 5 minutes as the view is breath taking....its a MUST MUST MUST....

Welcome to paradise!”
We stayed at Niyama for nine days at the end of August/September to celebrate our anniversary. The island is just gorgeous, well looked after by staff, white soft sand, crystal clear water with a beautiful coral garden and plenty of colourful fish. We could do all the activities starting from morning yoga by the sea, Aqua Zumba in the main pool, painting coconuts in the afternoon, paddle boarding, snorkelling or just chill with a drink in the Surf Shack watching the sunset. The food is AMAZING! The buffet breakfast was just simply delicious with so many varieties to choose from including fresh baked bread and pancakes to die for. Resort staff is kind, helpful and they really do treat you like one of the family. Our special thanks to Teddy, Jum, Rijje, Ganesh, Benjo, Roger, Ken, SoSo, Aiman, Siva and Rebecca - you made our trip and anniversary celebration really special! Looking forward to returning next year. Thank you Niyama.

Staffs are all very friendly and helpful, especially Chilli and his brother Dim. They have 3 restaurants, 2 of them in the island itself, Epicure and Tribal, the wagu beef in Tribal is a must try! They have buffet in certain days sometimes they have Niyama night and the staff will perfom dance and play drum, and another fine dinning restaurant is called Edge, you need to make advance reservation and they will send you there by boat, that's about 5mins away from the resort, and after your dinner

resort experience was excellent in total, however, the food experience was a bit less than both either one and only or anantara kihava. pros: 1 good island size 2 good kids club and activity 3 good value compare with others 4 they let us extend the checkout till 3pm without asking them 5 deluxe water villas has pretty much privacy 6 the room size and furniture was good specially the bathrooms 7 SPA was one of the best in Maldives 8 don't miss Tribal buffet cons: 1 long time waiting in the airport approximately 2:20 min 2 huge pillows which makes it very difficult to sleep 3 food should improve a bit 4 it seems that the staff were new, lack of experience 5 we asked many times to provide us with bicycles and after two days they sent us broken bicycle. also the bicycle doesn't have your villa number so some one might take your bicycle without knowing 6 i stayed in both beach villa and water villa, and the beach villa was full of insects

my husband and i went for a honeymoon with niyama by per aquum. we loved our stays sooooo much and we hope we can be back (abit pricey for us). the staff over here are super friendly and everyone of them greated us whenever they see us. places are very clean, very nice food (even dine-in), and we have got complementary dinner on our honeymoon visit. my husband and i had great time with niyama, and they gave us a memorable honeymoon. i would highly recommend this to all of you!! if you are going on a diving trip i dont recommend this place, as the diving sites are not really interesting.

A paradise with excellent service”
We stayed 4 nights in a 'water villa with pool' for our honeymoon. We were there Nov 30 to Dec 3. This was during the ‘wet’ season. The temp was 25-30C everyday. I could tell you all about the place but the website and Agoda do that already. What they don’t convey is that no expense was spared in the construction of this resort and the experience it provides. It was class from start to finish. The staff are highly trained and always greet you with a smile. Four examples of this were: 1) email correspondence with the resort before our arrival was always helpful and prompt. 2) my wife’s birthday occurred during our stay. I didn’t inform staff but they surprised us with champagne at breakfast and had a cake as well as bouquet of white roses delivered to our room 3) on one of the days the phone couldn’t reach the concierge for some reason ( I called multiple times within half an hour) so we couldn’t order room service, requiring us to walk to Epicure (the main restaurant) to order lunch (was only a 3 minute walk). I mentioned this to the staff (not as a complaint, just wondering if there was a problem). We returned to our room to wait for our food. When it arrived the resort manager came with it, apologising for the problem with the phone and waiving the charge for the meal 4) Because the latest sea plane transfer off the island was around 4pm but our flight back home didn’t leave until 10pm they arranged for a local guide to show us around the capital Male at no extra cost. This was completely unexpected as though we knew we would have time on our hands we, we were expecting to make our way over to Male on our own and explore it ourselves. Having a guide was reassuring and helpful. The only caveat would be all this comes at a cost – if you’re travelling on a tight budget, look elsewhere, as the meals and activities on the island do come at a premium. But really, you get what you pay for – we enjoyed ourselves immensely and plan to return!

Fabulous resort with great attention to detail.”
My husband and I visited Niyama with our two young children (3 years and 4 month old). Not only was the resort incredible, it was incredibly family friendly. The Kids Club was amazing, my son loved it! The staff was so accommodating to each of our needs- including the baby. We arrived with a baby cot set up in the room, but also a baby tub, baby shampoos and soap, a baby towel and even a potty chair and potty seat for my son. Niyama really did think of everything! We will absolutely stay again!

Amazing resort. Certainly a class of its own”
excellent food, fine dining, lovely atmosphere. this hotel is well on its way to matching a w hotel. unique dining experience in the middle of the ocean. night club underwater... tho club is always empty its a lovely spot to have a drink. there is an abundance of water sports and activities. highly recommend taking jet skis out and asking your guide to take you dolphin hunting as opposed to go on the boat. amazing we saw about 30! only thing about this resort is the snorkelling on site is not spot on. we had previously stayed at a resort a little closer to male say 15 mins boat ride and that area is infamous for snorkelling as lots of beautiful fish. however the water is so beautiful and the sand is so white, at this resort you can also go out to see dolphins which you wouldnt be able to do near male. as for snorkelling i understand the hotel does island trips to a nearby sand bank where the reefs are just as beautiful rooms were amazing!

Just a normal hotel if compare to others”
I had been to 9 different hotel or island in Maldives and every island has their own special thing, the room price for this hotel is expensive if compare to the rest others hotel that i had been to, because of the room size is small and the room design is not luxury at all, do not worth the money that i had paid. I am staying in the deluxe water villa, the room environment is good, just the room design really looks like 4 star hotel only. The worker is very friendly and service is good, food is ok and the price for the food is ok too. If you are not looking for luxury room design, you may consider this hotel.

it was a wonderful stay at Niyama. Delux water studio is super with jacuzzi and pool. even the water studio is excellent (no big difference from dulex. just no jacuzzi only). room is spacious with daily water supply. coffee machine. pop corn machine. free ice cream daily. we have bed decoration as well daily . so sweet . the seafood BBQ buffet on very Wed is nice. if you are not under HB or FB. you can try. HB and FB will enjoy 30% off. the pizza is also nice. it 's fresh homemade pizza. you can choose your favorite topping if you like to. enjoyed few free programs like Yoga, zumba glass. the spa is realxing but just pricy. night fishing is a bit disapointted as 7 people only caught onely one small fish. can try night club at Subsix. it's not bag. quite adorable.enjoy one or two drinks is enough. breakfast is brilliant . last to say the seaplane is really more than we expected. USD518/way for a couple. it costs us USD1036 for two way transfer by seaplane. our flight from SG to MLE is just SGD1425 for us.well... have to say a great view at seaplane. we enjoyed the holiday there.
