Bad housekeeping. Everything else is good ”
Staff: - reception was bad. No smile. Straight face. But I realized this is normal in Taipei in all my years of trip in Taiwan. I get super friendly staff in entire Taiwan except Taipei. City stress? - ground floor guy is superb. Polished, warmth and never fail to greet us when we go in/out of the hotel. A change from the vibes I got from the reception. Housekeeping: - this is my first time ever encountering such. - they did the minimum cleaning and never tidy the room. Slippers which I left in the middle of room was at the exact same spot when I came back. There was a small piece of paper (big enough for eyes), it was purposely placed and it was still there when I came back. Hair found in bathtub was not removed. Bedsheets and pillow cover was not changed because I see the exact same dirt every single day. - stayed for 6 nights. On the last day of housekeep, there’s a change of staff. I came back to the room feeling as though I have just checked in. Everything was placed in order. Slippers properly stack. Hair dry was coil up. Change of toilet roll. That is when I realized, it’s not the hotel sloppy standard but rather the standard of one (or more) person. Location: near to Ning Xia Night market. But far (at least 10mins) walk to met station. However there’s bus to met station which often have to wait for 10-20 mins so end up walking despite there’s old folk in the group.

Friendly and helpful staff, very comfortable room, everything clean, nice breakfast with daily variation. Great location too: 5 minutes walk from Dihua Old Street and the Ningxia night market. Supermarket right next door. 5 minutes to Youbike station. 15 minutes walk to MRT. I loved my stay there and look forward to staying again.
Professional ”
Great rooms and nice bathrooms. Hotel is very modern, professional and clean. Carpets in the rooms need to be cleaned or replaced. Breakfast is very Taiwanese / Chinese and not really for Western tastes. But overall, a decent place.
My comfort spot”
The staff is very accommodating to requests and individual needs. They responded to my emails and phone calls. Great lobby and comfort seating for relaxing and reading space.
Great stay during quarantine”
I was not expecting much because it is for quarantine, but it turns out a very comfortable stay. I was lucky that the room I got has a beautiful view of some plants and trees (from the small garden on the floor below mine) right outside the glass wall. The facilities are not new, but the room was clean and the staff are accommodating. The menu for each day is different. The food selection is to my liking. Everything feels organized properly.
