Location was really great since it's in the center and near to the bus stop, benh tan market, restaurants, money changer and everything. The room is quite narrow but clean. Elevator has schedule, cannot be use during late hours. Staffs are kind and very accomodating.

NOT an HONEST HOSTEL”

I book my Vietnam sim card in advance through a online store which can help me send to hostel. But when i collect from the hostel front desk, they say they don’t know. From there, i know this hostel staff not honest!!

Value for money and Cleanliness”

Stayed for 4 nights in an individual single room. Friendly female receptionist. Pros: The cleanliness is beyond my expectation which is good. The satellite TV is clear and have a lot of shows available. However, no mini-fridge till I requested for it and it is quite dirty. Toilet is well maintained. Location is very near Bui Vien street, therefore it is ideal if you wish to stay near there. Although it is a street away, no music could be heard while in hostel when sleeping. Cons: Like other reviewers mentioned, the entrance to the hostel is in a back alley. If you like shopping, it will be quite a walking distance to Ben Thanh, Saigon Centre etc (20 mins-30mins). A nearby sense market is available though. Neutral: Breakfast is very simple, Banh Mi bread and simple egg with drinks... no complains for the price paid. Conclusion: If you a budget traveller and prefer to stay near Bui Vien... it is a value for money hostel where you can sleep peacefully at night.

Helpful Staff and Very Good Location”

Location is nearby Pham Ngu Lao and Bui Vien streets. It is also just 10 minutes walking distance to Ben Thanh Market and Saigon Square. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. The staff can helpful with all the info that you need. However, they are only very familiar with Vietnam tours near Ho Chi Minh , and not so much in Northern Vietnam. Nonetheless, they are very patient, friendly, and helpful on all my bookings. Having an elevator in Vietnam is always a plus. I will stay here again. Special thank you to their manager, Tim. He deserves a mention for helping me in clarification in my bookings.

good hotel located at strategic location”

The hotel is located at a strategic location which is in District 1 of HCMC. It is convenience for backpacker who are travel with public bus because most of the sleeper buses will be stop over at the main road of the hotel & can be reachable within walking distance in 200meters... most of the tourist spots of HCMC are located at District 1 area where can be arrived via walking from the hotel & the famous street pub/bar of HCMC is just located at the back of the hotel.

Affordable and Near a Park/Mall”

I'm with family that's not used to travelling outside my country and has not experience backpackers-type accommodation. But I selected this place based on it good reviews. Aside from the alley where one needs to enter before reaching the hotel which my family were not used to, the place is good. Just like in the reviews, though I could not remember the alley being mentioned. The free breakfast was adequate and our room was very nice. Much more space that typical hostels.

I like the staff, they are friendly and nice. what ever you ask them, they will try to help you or give you some suggestion. the location is good, near to pub street. The local street food few step from the hotel is worth a try. the room is clean. just a reminder for those who concern, the hotel is not located in the main street, you have to walk in a small street just a few meter away.

tho entrance to the hotel is quite creepy, location is good. near convenient stores money changers restaurants coffeeshops and walking distance to ben thanh market and saigon square. room has enough space for 4 people but it was so weird that the bathroom has an opening on top of the door. no hair dryer available and breakfast is bread and eggs everyday.

Clean & Staff very friendly ”

Everything is fine and nice, 1st day we go they FOC us to upgrade to the deluxe room. The Room toilet design are not very satisfy, if someone poop inside it will be very smelly on the room. Good to stay this hotel!!!!

Geweldig”

I stayed in Galaxy Capsule Hostel for 3 nights and I am very happy with their service. It is along De Tham street where most of the restaurants and bars are. It is also walking distance to bus stations to Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, Bangkok, etc. Best for backpackers and travellers who want convenience in their stay in HCMC.

Everyone should stay here”

Staffs are friendly, warm, always smiling, very helpful and accommodating. Hotel rate is reasonable. Meets are met and they are very effective. I wish to give 10stars for their hospitality, thank you Tim in the morning shift, Tom the night shift staff, a lady staff at the front desk(i didn't get to know her name) and other staffs for the services and useful advices. It's really important for us as travelers to find a place where we feel at ease and feel at home. Thank you for making it real. Thank you for having us! Love all the staffs, just two days back in town but am already starting to miss them.

No hot water but good cable TV”

Very small even smaller than a replanted hotel but much bigger than a normal capsule. No window and very noisy from the hallway especially the construction that was going on. Bf was too simple but included. Location was the only pro.Maybe the dorm might be a little better for money's worth but can't verify it.

I think my case is the unusual one, but everyone should take note also”

Generally, the staffs were kind and friendly especially the women and young male. I had some miscommunication with one of the staff and I had to pay extra charges on the check out day. Unfortunately, I was left with small amount of money that I planned to use it for lunch and transportation to airport. Through the conversation with the staff and owner (phone call), I realised that the staff looked over my whole passport without my permission when he kept it in the locker, also he and the owner saying that ; If I no money, I wont go travel' which makes me felt uncomfortable and insulted. Lastly, we resolved the issues where both parties took a step behind. Although I had a bad experience with the hotel, I cant deny that the hotel is ok to stay as I'm just the unlucky one. One last thing, double check with the staff when you have extra request so that both parties understand it clear! Thanks and cheer :)

great location, just few minutes of walking to reach the city center. the room and the staff were amazing, high value for the money. so satisfied with this accommodation, definitely will recommend this to the other travelers out there.

A wonderful stay in the family room ”

Strategic location. Stayed 5 in the family room, comfy beds. In room slippers provided, convenient for us to wear it to use the shared bathrooms at level 1 when our en-suite bathroom is occupied. Staff are very attentive, helpful and informative. Basic breakfast provided, good enough. Strong wifi. Good water flow. Some basic bath amenities are provided in room too. Glad that the room is quiet at night as we are light sleepers. The alley to the hotel may not be clean and dry, "unwelcome guests" can be spotted but the hotel itself is clean and safe. Highly recommended.

Good but...”

We booked and we have been here for 2nights because we found amazing offert on Agoda.com.The place have a great position: near the backpackers street, but in a secondary small alley.No noisy!!The dorm and the common bathroom are very clean!!I want to say just two things: the breakfast is OK, but not amazing.For me is good because I paid small money, but maybe is bad for someone who paid quite more for a double private room for example.And also the staff.. The guy with glasses is very very friendly and helpful, but the man... Maybe you can suggest that he can be more smiling.If you ask something, he looks like: Oh, my God... what do you want????I asked for buy bus ticket and he said:"OK, later", but I needed, not later.And than he was just with his phone and stop. I really loved this place but maybe will be better!!

Value for money ”

Room can accommodate 5 pax which is around $10 per pax. Room is clean and with lift facility. Located near Pham ngu Lao street and near to futa bus and the sinh tourist (around 3-5 mins walk) so it is convenient for those would like to board the early bus in the morning since our bus Timing is next day morning 6.30am.

We arrived at the hotel very late, around 1 am. The staff was still waiting for our arrival. I reserved both a room and dorms. Even the price is quite high comparing with other dorms but I still think it's valuable. The hotel is just opposite to the tourist office where we took a sleeper bus to Da Lat. The staff was very nice and helpful, he allowed us to leave our luggages when we were back to HCMC even that night we did not stay over night there. Also don't miss the grilled pork rice in front of the alley to the hotel. We think it was the most delicious dishes in our Vietnam trip!

Overbooked”

I arrived at the standard check in timing, presented the booking confirmation. The guy at the counter told me to wait and so i did. For 20 minutes, whereupon he told me that they were overbooked (I booked like months ago??) and if i would like a replacement room in their affiliated hotel instead. So okay, fine.. he led me down a maze of alleyways and at some point, i was expecting to get mugged but luckily, no. Big mama's hotel.. a little cramped, aircon didn't work that well but hey, beats sleeping in the park, right?
