Location perfect but needs updating.”
Ideal location, comfy beds, great reception staff! You can use the facilities at The Grand Hyatt for no extra cost which is great. However the rooms and breakfast reflect the price! The breakfast is included in the price but very basic and the “hot” food was not hot, the coffee machine could do with a good clean or replacing. The breakfast room just needed a good makeover including the food selection . We have stayed before and will stay again but will take our own breakfast or visit the other restaraunts close by.
This hotel is ideal for holidays stay - beach is 100 m far. Since this hotel is somehow connected with Grand Hyatt, there is a possibility to use GH pool and facilities. Breakfast & Rooms are simple, but sufficient.
Good welcome and helpful reception staff. Room big with comfortable bed, clean but very badly in need of renovation and updating. Bathroom in particular had walls badly in need of repair, shower rail that was like a cheap diy purchase. Breakfast room very disappointing, smallish, poor decor. Breakfast plentiful but very poor quality.Saw many ants on the table one morning though food was covered and free of ants a little off-putting. Near beach and great to be able to use Hyatt pool. All in all helpful staff, clean room but very badly in need of renovation particularly bathroom and very poor breakfast.
Good location, poor accomodation”
This hotel is a part of Grand Hyatt Hotel. There is possible to use its pool. Breakfast is simple, but sufficient. Rooms needed desperately refurbishment. This building is located 100 m from bech in the city center.
Great budget option with 5 star facilities ”
Being Muscat residents we wanted a little family treat without blowing the budget. The Safari suites were perfect for what we wanted. Use of the Grand Hyatt pool and facilities just across the car park, a basic but clean and functional room and a great price! We know the Hyatt very well and know it’s great for little ones (although the big pool is a bit scary if you’re not a decent swimmer, with the lazy river current) The baby pool is a good size and we spent a lot of our time there. Our 2 year old had a great time and we got a bit of R&R. We also walked along the beach at night time (which is buzzing with local families at night) and had an ice cream in one of the cafes, great for an unwind before bed-time! Thanks Safari suites 😁
Budget place close the beach and access to Grand Hyatt pool”
This is a budget place, but big rooms, close to the beach and with access to the Grand Hyatt pool area, restaurants and bars. Nothing fancy, but it works well for the money
Like staying at the Hyatt without paying for the Hyatt”
Main plus here is the use of the superb Hyatt pool and facilities next door. And the rooms were nice and big. Breakfast was decent. A few local restaurants just nearby. Can be recommended!
Value for money”
A fine location and spacey rooms. Good fascilities at the neighbourgh hotel
Value for money with little compromise”
We halved our accommodation costs by staying here rather than the Grand Hyatt just across the car park. If you're only intending on using the room for sleep you can't do much better than Safari Village, you have access to the Grand Hyatt facilities (pool, restaurant, bar) as well as the nearby beach. There are other restaurants and bars close by and it's a 30 minute taxi to the Souk. The room itself is clean and comfortable, however members of our group had to deal with fixtures falling apart such as the shower and drawers.
doesn't fit our expectations ”
Close to the Hyatt, you can enjoy Hyatt swimming pool, but overcrowded. Beach awful, water green, cold. NO restaurant to enjoy lunch, only small space for breakfast: no fruits, no café, no choice of bread, .. We don't recommend at all this place!
Its in the grounds of the Hyatt so you get to use all of their facilities (except the wifi). ”
Pros: large spacious rooms with kitchenette, dining table, and easy chairs. Very comfortable bed. Room is cleaned and tidied every day. Breakfast is ample: cereal, fruit, eggs etc and served in your room. You get all the facilities of the Grand Hyatt included, just walk out the back gate, across the car park and into the side entrance of the Hyatt. On the beach are 3 cheaper cafes if you dont want to eat in the Hyatt. Opposite is Feeney’s irish bar, round the corner is delightful persian restaurant Shabestan, and cafe/bistro The Chocolate Lounge. Staff on reception are friendly and helpful. Only con is not being able to use Hyatt’s wifi.
Excellent value for money choice”
In a city where the western chains regularly charge over GBP400 per night, we needed to find somewhere more affordable. We were very pleased with this choice for two nights at less than a quarter of the price of the chains, but with access to the Hyatt pool thrown in for nothing. Okay, the rooms are tired, but they were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was served in the room as the restaurant was closed for renovation, but it was perfectly adequate. Muscat is a sprawling city, and nothing is walkable but with a car we felt we were perfectly placed. Staff went out of their way to help, and we got a very early check-in for which we were very grateful after a night time flight. Small annoyances were lukewarm water in the shower, and a room safe which didn't appear to be working (lights were continuously flashing), but these are minor gripes.
It's Just Rooms”
It's adjacent to a Hotel and the Safari Village boasts the facilities of that hotel as their own :-( The staff (Reception, Housekeeping, etc.) are NOT available 24/7, and have difficulty in communication and understanding patrons' needs. Elevators are very small for a hotel (where people may carry luggage and have families together). Getting there is a problem as there are no clear signage; I had to call the hotel staff a few times despite being in the same street for a good amount of time. The entrance has a gate that is opened only when you honk :-( The room was quite large and adequate. I had reserved an ocean-view; however, there is a junk-yard right behind the hotel which ruins the view completely.

Conveniently located at 2 minutes walk from the most popular beach in Muscat and neighbouring consulates. The property does not have a swimming pool and gym but provides this facility in next door Grand Hyatt Hotel (*****) which is nice but not convenient. We found only 3 staff providing room service and housekeeping to the customers and the buffet breakfast which is pictured for hotel was offered by room service. The streat hosting restaurants and cafe is 2-3 km away, so be sure to drive or pay a bigger bill at Grand Hyatt Hotel.

Comfortable stay for holiday makers”
Very comfortable stay for holiday makers, enjoy beach, swiming pool. Clean and neat atmosphere. You won't see the hotel name board. This is next door to Al Hayat hotel. it is old construction part of Al Hayat 5 star hotel and you are allowed to use Al Hayat 5 star facilities.
